Perfect Supercar Day at Cars and Coffee Torino

The Event at Ferrari Playground

As I arrived at Ferrari Playground, I was immediately struck by the sheer number of cars on display. The venue was buzzing with activity, and it seemed like every car enthusiast had turned out to join in on the fun. The atmosphere was electric, with a sense of excitement and anticipation hanging in the air.

The first thing that caught my eye was a stunning BMW Z8 in red, which looked absolutely gorgeous. Next to it sat a Ferrari F50, an iconic supercar that is rarely seen in public. I couldn't help but be awed by its sheer presence, and I loved the subtle speciale model without the stripe. Following close behind was another Ferrari F12 TDF, which was a beast of a car in every way. The speciale model that followed it was equally impressive, with its understated design belied by its incredible performance capabilities.

The crowd was dotted with some truly unusual cars, including three McLarens - a 570 GT Triple, a 675 LT Spider, and another 570 GT. There were also several Audi models on display, including the new R8, as well as a Jaguar F-Type that had been imported from Britain. A Tesla Model S was also on hand, with an interesting interior design that set it apart from more standard models.

As I wandered through the crowds, I couldn't help but feel like I'd stumbled into a veritable car enthusiast's paradise. The sheer variety of models on display was staggering, and there were so many cars to see and take in that I almost didn't know where to start. A group of Ferrari enthusiasts had gathered around a particularly beautiful F40, oohing and ahhing over its sleek design.

Eventually, I decided it was time for lunch, and I wandered off to find some food amidst the crowds. It's worth noting that there were approximately 180 cars on display at Ferrari Playground, with many more people in attendance than I'd initially thought. The venue itself is rather cool, surrounded by a beautifully manicured lawn.

After lunch, we set off for the airfield, where the next part of our adventure was waiting. As we arrived, I could hear the sound of engines revving and tires screeching, signaling the start of the drag strip runs. This would be an exciting event to watch, with 60 cars lined up in preparation.

I decided not to join the fray myself, instead opting to film the action for my audience at home. After all, the runway was a perfect location for capturing the excitement and noise of the event on camera. As the cars began to blast off down the track, I couldn't help but feel exhilarated by the sheer energy of it all.

As the final car crossed the finish line, I breathed a sigh of relief - and I have to admit that I was also relieved not to have to drive my own GT4 up onto the runway. The manual gearbox is notoriously unforgiving, and I didn't want to risk destroying the clutch. But watching from the sidelines, it's clear that this event was an absolute blast for everyone involved.

I'd like to extend a special thank you to some of the owners who arrived in rather unusual vehicles - including a Nitrous Blue Focus RS that came all the way from Monaco. It was certainly a highlight of the day, and I'm always on the lookout for new and interesting cars to feature in my content. In any case, it's been an absolutely fantastic day at Ferrari Playground, with some truly unforgettable moments to look back on.

As I reflect on our time here today, I'm struck by just how well-organized everything has been. From the moment we arrived until now, there's been a seamless flow of cars and people that's been impossible to ignore. And it shows - the whole event has felt remarkably low-key given its sheer scale.

But as I prepare to bid farewell to this wonderful venue, I can already tell that I'll be back next year. Ferrari Playground is one of those rare events that truly has something for everyone - whether you're a die-hard car enthusiast or just someone who loves the thrill of driving fast cars on public roads. And with its beautiful setting and incredible variety of models on display, it's no wonder that this event has become so popular in recent years.

So thank you all for joining me today at Ferrari Playground - I hope you've enjoyed watching along as much as I have! Until next time, when we'll be heading to another fascinating destination with an equally fantastic selection of cars...

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhi guys i'm schmie and good morning to you from a very little cabin on board a ferry today we've crossed over to the mainland from sardinia so we're shortly going to be arriving at genova before a little drive over to turin for cars and coffee now today we're going to be gathering as usual for what is always an amazing event but then we're going to be going over to an airfield so gt4 is down below it's the third ferry i've taken in not very long i only had a couple of days at sardinia but they were a brilliant couple of days driving with the duncan hamilton historic cars road tour around the island and then yesterday driving a maserati mc12 which i hope you've already checked out the video because that was just a surreal and awesome experience now i'm not gonna lie it was a pretty short night last night on the ferry it was a late night sailing and the sun has only literally just risen out over the horizon but it's cars and coffee time so let's head down to the car and roll out carnage in here and it's gonna be very hard for me to get out but step one the cold start it's always fun there goes the ferries then we're heading out of the port for about an hour and a half two hours to drive to carson coffee here we go then in this way this is a cool venue driving in then past hurricane spider 4c what else can i see because it's going to vent the door the studio to reno cayman check this out two f-40s arriving together here and that's uh not so standard below scooping up the stones wow amazing that's cool 911 ars style striping on the gt3 rs and another gt3rs and an army of four c's behind all sorts of cars parking up here at this rather cool venue i don't even know what this maserati is it's some open race car thing crazy bmw z8 in red that is gorgeous um good morning ferrari f50 i love that thing so rare amazing that followed by the f12 tdf what a beast subtly plain speciale without the stripe followed by a 675 lt spider makes me feel right at home very nice we've also got a 570 gt triple mclaren's here which is quite nice to see quite unusual in italy this is obviously ferrari playground so uh british cars there's actually a british registered f-type there it's cool as well and the carrera gt following it the cars are all in and now it's on display in the various courtyards and there's a lot of different cars around so i can't really take you around everything it would take way too long but as always a fantastic turnout so here we've got audi's jaguar f-type mercedes m4s r8s and that kind of cars has a tesla here with an interesting interior as well actually let me come and show you this um it's not so standard which is quite nice custom finish and i'm going to wander through to the other side because it's basically lunchtime now just keeping everyone busy but this is the perfect opportunity to have a little walk around and see the cars when there aren't so many people it's about 180 cars there's a lot of people here today taking a look but out this side the tdf there i love that thing um that's a pretty cool lawn as well just surrounded basically by a a rather nice selection of the cars everywhere so i'm gonna head in and grab a bite to eat myself and then we'll be setting off afterwards for the drive over to the airfield now those kind of noises normally mean it's about time to get ready to depart on the convoy so 180 cars or so heading from here on about an hour long drive over towards where we're going for part two of today's event wow oh ah ah time for us to roll out then we're going to jump into the gt4 and off we go we're off and i've kind of snuck the gt4 into the middle of a ferrari pack so cheeky german invasion of the italians right now but hey it's fun me you should see my face from when that viper went past my ears actually hurt that was so freaking loud beautiful um at the end of the drive then we're arriving at the airfield where there are a lot of cars parked up which means a lot of crowds so let's see how this is going to work as we arrive and try to drive in to the area all of the cars lined up here then are going to be taking part in the drag strip runs so i think it's about 60 cars that are going to be doing it i thought there was no point in the gt4 because manual gearbox and what's the point in destroying the clutch and there's another gt4 over there anyway um and i'd rather be filming for you guys because there's a runway and the cars are going to be going up there so there's going to be a lot of noise a lot of excitement and yeah i wasn't gonna give this one a miss so let's head over and watch the action um wow um a lot of fun out there on the drag strip i think that's probably the final car that's blasting up now but i'm not entirely sure what happened with the viper but let's not worry about that because fun and games everybody has had a pretty awesome day the sun is out it's absolutely boiling i'm going to give a shout out for the nitrous blue focus rs that's coming from monaco because i think that's pretty cool but this has been awesome cars and coffee in today is always awesome brilliant day just meeting great lunch all the
