**Setting Up and Using Rainway**

Rainway is a game streaming service that allows users to play high-quality games on any device, including mobile phones and tablets, as well as computers and other gaming devices. For this tutorial, we'll be focusing on installing and using Rainway on a computer, but it's also available on mobile devices.

To start, locate Rainway in your game library by navigating to the appropriate folder or section in your operating system. From there, you can select the Rainway icon and launch the software. Follow the prompts to authenticate with your account and connect to your PC. Once connected, you'll be able to access your entire game library from within the Rainway dashboard.

let you remotely play all of your pc games regardless of what launcher they're from which is pretty handy you can even remotely control your computer as well from here you can click add shortcuts to manually locate any missing games or new ones that you've installed manually or you wish to add or even dedicated programs you wish to add i guess and make sure your library is up to date and ready to go and from here you can pretty much just leave your computer alone if you like if not you can filter your game list to show only installed games or to get a full view of your steam game library so you can download more games if you do the latter you can manually trigger game installation right from rainway's dashboard so you never have to leave rainway when you're choosing or installing your games it just kind of all happens there which is pretty neat if you install rainway on your mobile device i have it running on my iphone here then you authenticate it with the qr code and connect to your pc and you basically never have to touch your computer again unless you specifically want to install something new you can access your whole rainway dashboard remotely control your computer if you like although if you're on a phone with no keyboard and mouse connected it'll be controlling your phone with the virtual controller which may not be useful but like on the ipad pro they support the magic keyboard so you can literally just remotely control your computer i've actually edited videos from my ipad this way hey and you have full access to your library so that you can play and enjoy your games to your heart's content on basically any device now i did want to mention i focus on mobile a lot in these videos because that's kind of the more you know unique concept with these especially since they do have on-the-go game streaming with android as well but you can just do this from another computer so if you have like a beefy gaming computer in one room or you want to set up a really bv gaming computer in like a room nobody uses so you can access it in more common areas and then you have a laptop or a less powerful computer in a family room or something you can still game from that as well you're not limited just to you know mobile devices depending on your gaming pc specs and your wi-fi you know speed and power you can crank up the quality as well by default rainway's streaming quality settings are pretty modest they want to make sure that everyone can use it and not immediately run into problems but in the streaming quality settings you get full control over frame rate resolution encoding quality and things like that the best work for your scenario and over on the desktop side you can control whether it's encoding on gpu encoding like in vinc on nvidia cards which i recommend or cpu encoding on x264 if you need to do that for whatever reason i have a really fast local wi-fi and a beefy graphics card in my rig so i crank everything up but you may need to fine tune based on your settings a bit here and i have found on some mobile devices you need to maybe not crank it up all the way but pretty close devices that support 120 hertz uh refresh rate modes
