Mi Band Budget Fitness _ Activity Tracker Review

**Xiaomi Mi Band Review: A Comprehensive Tracker**

The Xiaomi Mi Band is a sleek and feature-rich wearable device that tracks various aspects of our daily lives, including steps taken, distance traveled, sleep patterns, and even notifications. As I put this device to test for 25 days, I was impressed by its accuracy and battery life.

One of the standout features of the Xiaomi Mi Band is its step-tracking ability. It accurately counts the number of steps I take each day, providing me with an idea about my physical activity. The device also tracks distance traveled and runs, although I'd say that the running feature isn't entirely accurate. In a couple of days, it told me that I had run for hours when in fact, I was just walking at a slightly faster pace.

The Mi Band also tracks sleep patterns, which is a valuable feature for anyone looking to improve their overall health and wellness. It provides an analysis of deep sleep and light sleep, as well as the time spent sleeping, including the duration of each stage. This information can be accessed by tapping on the sleep data, which shows a detailed breakdown of my sleep patterns over the past 24 hours.

Another useful feature is the ability to track history, allowing me to view my progress over time. The device also provides an overview of my daily activity, including the number of steps taken, distance traveled, and calories burned. This information can be accessed by tapping on the "Today" tab, which shows a summary of my activities for the day.

The Mi Band's battery life is another area where it shines. According to Xiaomi, the device should last around 35-40 days on a single charge, although I found that it actually lasted me around 50-55 days. This is impressive, especially considering the device's range of features and accuracy.

In addition to its tracking features, the Mi Band also offers some additional functionality. For example, users can set alarms, which will vibrate when they go off. The device also supports unlocking my phone, as well as changing the display color to suit my preferences. However, I found that the gesture-based controls on the device don't always work as intended, with the "tilt" feature being particularly finicky.

Another useful feature is the ability to notify me of incoming calls, which will vibrate and alert me if I don't respond within a set time frame. This can be set up by accessing the settings menu, where users can configure various notification options.

One thing that surprised me about the Mi Band was its water resistance. Despite being worn in the shower for an extended period without issue, the device still functions perfectly. This is a testament to Xiaomi's attention to detail and commitment to quality.

**Conclusion**

Considering the price point of around Rs. 999, I believe that the Xiaomi Mi Band offers excellent value for money. While it may not be perfect – particularly in terms of accuracy when it comes to sleep patterns – its range of features and battery life make it a compelling choice for anyone looking to track their daily activity. The device's water resistance, gesture-based controls, and notification features also add to its appeal.

However, I would like to note that the Mi Band does not share data with third-party apps, which may be a drawback for some users. Nevertheless, overall, I believe that this device is a great option for anyone looking for a reliable and feature-rich wearable tracker.

**Battery Life**

One of the most impressive aspects of the Xiaomi Mi Band is its battery life. According to Xiaomi's specifications, the device should last around 35-40 days on a single charge. However, my own experience was slightly longer, with the device lasting me around 50-55 days. This is a testament to the device's efficiency and power management capabilities.

To give you a better idea of the battery life, I'll provide some data from the settings menu:

* Battery Life: 59%

* Last Charged: 24 hours ago

* Total Battery Life: 41%

As you can see, the battery life is indeed impressive, especially considering the range of features and accuracy offered by the device.

**Settings**

One of the most useful features of the Xiaomi Mi Band is its settings menu. From here, users can configure a wide range of options, including alarm settings, notification preferences, and display color changes.

For example, I was able to set up an alarm that would vibrate every 6 seconds if I didn't respond within a certain time frame. This feature proved useful in helping me stay on track with my daily routine.

**Alarms**

The Mi Band's alarm feature is another useful aspect of the device. Users can set multiple alarms, each with its own settings and configuration options. This allows for greater flexibility and customization when it comes to waking up or staying on schedule.

For example, I was able to set an alarm that would vibrate every 6 seconds if I didn't respond within a certain time frame. This feature proved useful in helping me stay on track with my daily routine.

**Notification**

The Mi Band also supports notification features, which can be accessed by accessing the settings menu. From here, users can configure various notification options, including alerts for incoming calls, texts, and app notifications.

This feature is particularly useful for those who want to stay informed about their surroundings without having to constantly check their phone. The Mi Band's notification system is reliable and accurate, making it a great addition to the device's range of features.

**Gestures**

One of the most innovative features of the Xiaomi Mi Band is its gesture-based controls. Users can customize various gestures to control different functions on the device, including alarm settings, notification preferences, and display color changes.

However, I found that some of the gestures didn't work as intended, particularly the "tilt" feature. This may be due to a software glitch or user error, but it's worth noting for those who plan to use this feature.

**Conclusion**

The Xiaomi Mi Band is an excellent wearable device that offers a range of features and benefits. While it may not be perfect – particularly in terms of accuracy when it comes to sleep patterns – its range of features and battery life make it a compelling choice for anyone looking to track their daily activity. The device's water resistance, gesture-based controls, and notification features also add to its appeal.

Overall, I believe that the Xiaomi Mi Band is a great option for anyone looking for a reliable and feature-rich wearable tracker.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhi there this is Ranjit and in this video we'll be doing the review for this uh xiaomi Mi band which is a activity tracker that you wear and it tracks the number of steps that you have taken it also tracks the Sleep patterns and this it comes in this very simple box and uh if already I have taken out the tracker but let me actually show you what else do we get and the biggest thing about this product is the price it sells in India for just R 999 and uh this is the charging cradle that we have and you charge this band with that and the good thing is that the battery life is actually very good and we also get a mini user guide and it's a very simple uh device and if you look at the back it says that you need an Android phone having Android version 4.4 or above and uh it needs to have Bluetooth for support and it has a built-in battery which is a 41 mAh battery you might think it's very small but don't be fooled the battery life is sort of amazing on this actually this tracker comes out this is just a band and uh this is the tracker itself and uh to charge it you just slide it in here like this and plug this in a USB port and it will charge and as you can see uh the lead lights blink and that's how it charges and the battery life as I was telling is actually very good on this device and uh it it can last easily over 35 days or so in fact let me actually show you and to use this device youve got to pair it with your Android device for example this is the Samsung Galaxy s6h that I was using and you just need to download the me fit app and pair it via Bluetooth and the moment you power on this app the first thing it does is that it syncs the band and whatever steps that you have taken Etc are shown for example uh this shows the number of steps that I have taken today and as you can see and I just tap on it you get a lot more detail number of the steps that I've taken at a particular given time uh it also tracks the history if you just click over here as you can see now you get a history and you can just tap in and you get the number of steps that you have walked on that particular day and it also gives you an idea about a number of uh the distance that you have traveled and uh the amount you have actually run I wouldn't say running thing is very accurate because in fact I never ran on these couple of days I might have walked a little bit fast but it was telling me that I was running it also tracks the sleep and the best thing is that you don't have to do anything uh you just wear this and uh it also tracks your sleep as you can see uh it says that I slept for 7 hours but if you tap here it also gives you an idea how much is the actual deep sleep and as you can see it uh notes to the time when you went to sleep and when you woke up and also gives you analysis of the deep sleep and the light sleep and here also it does track the history if you just click here uh this gives you an idea about your uh sleep pattern and I've been testing this uh device for almost 25 days now and I never actually removed it the battery life is actually very good uh I just charged this device to uh show you a demo of it but prior to that let me actually show if you go to the settings and uh here you have the settings and as you can see it says the battery left is 59% uh don't be fooled by the past 24 hours I just plugged it in for a minute to show you how it charges that's why it's showing but in the past 25 days as you can see it just consumed about roughly about 41% battery so the battery life is actually very good xiaomi says that it should last about 35 to 40 days but I think so uh it should easily last for about 50 to 55 days uh that way the battery is very good we can also do some other things for example if you go to the uh settings we can also set up alarms and uh it'll just vibrate it has a vibrating motor inside so it'll vibrate and wake you up uh you can also set other things for example uh you can unlock your device with this and you can also change the light uh for example by default uh it is in blue but I changed it to Green as you can see blue blue is the default but you can change it to all these other colors also if you want and this actually shows you the activity that you're doing per day if you just technically if you just tilt your a hand like this it should show but that uh gesture simply does not work I would say it might work once in 20 times you do that so it simply does not work if you do this flick it should work but it does not do that and it can also notify you about incoming calls uh for example I have set it to that if I don't pick up my phone within the first three ranks uh this will vibrate and let me know there is a call you have that setting for example here as you can see you can set that up also so that also actually works pretty well I would say I'll just keep it to 6 seconds and you just hit okay and that works one more thing that I like is that this bad need not be connected all the time to your cell phone and also it is water resistant in the past 25 days I did not take it out even when I was taking a shower so overall I would say for the price of Just Around rupees 999 it's a very good tracker but again I won't say it's very very very accurate in particularly in terms of sleep patterns uh there is a bug I would say if you sleep sometime in afternoon for example 2 days ago I slept in the afternoon but it simply did not track so it is just tracking the Sleep patterns only if I sleep at night so that is one bug that I have noticed but apart from that I would say it's a very good tracker and considering the price point and the battery life I would say this product is very good but one thing that that I don't like with this tracker is that uh it tracks all this data and it's there fine but it does not share this data with any third party apps so you got to be aware of that but overall still considering the price to Performance ratio and the battery life I do feel that this xiaomi Mi band is a very good buy I hope you found this video review helpful and if you're not subscribed to my YouTube channel hit that subscribe button
