**Adorn Magazine: A Craft Magazine for Everyone**

Hi, I'm Christina from Adorn Magazine, and welcome to our latest issue! We're excited to share some of our favorite DIY projects with you, from handmade jewelry to upcycled clothing. As a craft magazine that's all about empowering people to create something new, we believe that anyone can be a crafter, regardless of their skill level or experience.

**Handmade Jewelry with Maple Seeds**

One of the projects I'm most excited about is this beautiful sterling silver necklace featuring maple seeds. Our team has been working tirelessly to create these unique and delicate pieces, using only the finest materials and techniques. The maple seeds were freshly picked from a local farm just four days ago, which means they're still nice and plump. We've cast them in sterling silver, creating a stunning necklace that's perfect for anyone who loves nature or just wants to add a touch of elegance to their outfit.

As we sat down with our team, I couldn't help but notice the dedication and passion that goes into every piece of jewelry they create. From the way they carefully select each seed to the precision of every stitch, it's clear that these artisans are truly skilled craftsmen. And the best part? You can make this necklace at home using a few simple materials.

**Kim's Messy Hairdos and Cycling Caps**

Next up, I'm joined by Kim, a member of our Department of Crafts team who's always pushing the boundaries of DIY fashion. Kim has been experimenting with cycling caps for years, taking them from plain old utilitarian garments to stylish accessories that add a touch of personality to any outfit.

"I was a messenger for a long time," Kim explains, "and I just started picking up people and saying, 'Hey, sass it up and take it to the streets!' It was like my own personal fashion movement. Now, I'm always on the lookout for new ways to repurpose old clothes and turn them into something entirely new."

Kim's book is packed with step-by-step instructions and inspiring ideas for anyone who wants to join in on the DIY revolution. From upcycled bathing suits to handmade cycling caps, there's something for everyone.

**Megan Nicolay's Upcycled Bathing Suit**

One of our favorite projects featured in Megan Nicolay's book is this adorable upcycled bathing suit made from an old t-shirt. It's a perfect example of how you can take something that's headed for the trash and turn it into something truly unique and special.

To make this bathing suit, all you need is one extra-large t-shirt (preferably in a bright color or fun print) and some basic sewing skills. First, cut off the bottom hem from both shirts, then cut the top shirt into 1-inch wide strips that are half an inch long. Cut the bottom shirt into equal pieces, making sure to leave about an inch of fabric at the top.

Next, pin one of the strips from the top shirt over the folded edge of the bottom shirt, and sew in place using a simple running stitch. Repeat this process with both shirts, creating two identical bathing suits that are perfect for anyone who wants to make a statement at the beach or pool. And don't forget to check out Megan's book for more inspiring DIY projects!

**How to Tuesday: DIY Bathing Suit**

Speaking of DIY projects, our brand new segment, How to Tuesday, launches next week! Every Tuesday, we'll be sharing quick tips and tricks on how to create your own unique styles using everyday materials. From upcycled bathing suits to hand-painted clothing, there's always something new and exciting to look forward to.

In the meantime, be sure to check out our thread banger forum for more cool ideas and inspiration from our community of DIY enthusiasts. We love seeing what you're working on, so don't be afraid to share your own projects and ask for feedback or advice.

**Join the Conversation**

As we wrap up this issue, I want to leave you with a final thought: crafting is all about experimentation and having fun. Don't be afraid to try new things, make mistakes, and learn from them. And most importantly, don't forget to share your creations with us! We love hearing from our readers and seeing what you're working on.

Thanks for joining me on this journey through the world of crafting and DIY fashion. Until next week, when we'll be launching How to Tuesday and sharing more exciting projects, I'm Christina from Adorn Magazine, saying... see ya!

an old t-shirt stick around need a bathing suit but don't care for the expensive price tag well here's what you do first you need one extra-large t-shirt but if you like the mismatched look go for two different colored shirts now cut the bottom hem off both shirts take your top shirt and cut to 1 inch wide strips off the bottom cut each strip in half twice so you end up with 4 equal strips take your bottom shirt and cut off a 1 inch wide strip cut that in half once so you have one long strip cut one more strip off the bottom cut it in half twice so you have to equal strips now measure and cut 9 inches off the top shirt pin both of the layers together and measure and sketch a triangle that's about 10 inches across the bottom and 8 inches down both sides create a 1 inch arc at the bottom then turn your fabric and a half circle and draw another triangle up the same dimensions pin inside both triangles and cut them out flip over one of the triangles and fold down the top corner 1 inch take one of the two equal strips stretch it out and place it over the folded corner now fold and pin both sides of the triangle in about half an inch so both sides carefully fold and pin the bottom of the triangle up an inch so Aseem leaving an open tunnel to put the strip through later repeat all those steps to the second triangle and when both pieces are complete take your one long strip stretch it out and attach the end to a safety pin thread the strip through the bottom of both pieces and you're done with the top now take your bottom shirt and measure in 19 by 16 inch rectangle pin and cut it out trace an hourglass shape onto the fabric pin and cut that out you want the narrows part to measure four inches across 11 inches from the top flip it over and fold and pin each corner in about one inch now stretch and place each of the four equal strips onto a separate corner fold and pin in one side about one inch repeat to the opposite side so it seemed out both of these sides now make several small slits in the arched area so the fabric folds easily fold and pin the remaining two sides then sew a seam down both sides and you're done with the bottom you now have a sweet new bikini
