**LG G7X First Look: A Revolutionary Camera Phone**

I'm excited to share with you my first impressions of the LG G7X, a camera phone that's packed with innovative features and technologies. As I start playing with this phone, I can already tell it's going to be a game-changer in the world of smartphone cameras.

The G7X has a pop art flashback vibe, which gives it a gritty look reminiscent of classic films like thrillers. The blue tone isn't classic, but that's what makes it unique. Now that I've had a chance to play with the G7X for a couple of minutes, I'm speculating on its price. Based on my experience so far, I'd estimate the price to be between $650 and $700. This is significantly lower than the Galaxy Note 8, which starts at around $1,000. If you're not using the S-Pen, there's no reason why you should be paying that kind of money for a phone.

**LG's Software Lag History**

I've had issues with software lag in previous LG phones, including my V20 and V10. However, my G6 has been a different story altogether – I haven't experienced any software lag or boot loops. Fingers crossed that this trend continues with the G7X.

pre-production unit so there's a few things that I can't talk about like the pricing and availability we can't talk about battery lifetimes and we can't get into a full detailed software experience because a lot of this stuff is subject to change at launch but there's some things that we can talk about so let's start off with the specs now this is a unibody design so what I mean by that is no more removable battery now if you got an LG V 20 that might hurt you because that's one of your favorite features about this phone is being able to swap batteries on the go that features gone with the LG v 30 but in exchange you get some major upgrades now this is probably the best-looking LG v phone to date you got Gorilla Glass 5 on the front and on the back you got aluminum trim and now the phone is finally ip68 dust and water resistant so that means you can fully submerge the phone under water now for the display you got a six inch P OLED q HD full vision display with the resolution of 1440 by 2880 and that's 537 for the PPI patrol now you're gonna watch your videos in the 18 by 9 aspect ratio and the phone has an 82% screen to body ratio so this is one of those bezel as phones now you got the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor with adreno 540 GPU that's top of the line specs now the phone is gonna ship with Android 7.1.2 nugget shoutout to the nugget boys with an available upgrade to Android 8.0 over you now you get 64 gigs of storage with 4 gigs of RAM and the phone does have a micro SD card slot for expandable memory up to 256 gigs now it's a non removable battery but it is 3300 milliamp s-- and it features quick charge 3.0 now here's one of the best features about this phone this is a V phone the V stands for video you got the dual camera setup so on your main camera you got 16 megapixels that's one point six that's one of the best in the games and the secondary camera is 13 megapixels that's F one point nine with the 120 degree wide angle lens now if you got a g6 you know that wide angle lens is the truth now this phone features wireless charge so that's an automatic upgrade from the V 20 now you got Wireless charge you got a headphone jack on the top I know we got to mention that these days but now you get the quad the quad deck and all of them it doesn't matter what region you in you're getting a high-five jack and all of the LGV 30s now you get the floating toolbar so now you're not gonna have that secondary built-in display you get the floating display I'll show you how that works in a second and you also got your always-on display so let's take a look at this now as soon as you pick this up and feel it in the hands I gotta say it one time feels so good in the hands ladies hit me up looks and feels beautiful if you notice the sides you got the aluminum trim with the glass panel now just by holding this in your hand it's gonna feel and look very similar to a Galaxy S II now you I know how I feel about the glass back phones it just looks beautiful let me show y'all a little comparison here's the LG v10 now you I remember the slanting boys this is like a rugged military kind of phone not the prettiest to look at that's how I got the name slam boys because we were slamming this phone like crazy but it's extra durable then you got the V 20 now this is definitely not the sexiest phone especially if you think about when this phone came out you had the galaxy s7 you had a bunch of shiny glass back phones this was more like a utility phone you had that hump on the camera that nobody liked but it got the job done now LG v30 look at the difference this one just looks beautiful night the dual camera setup it actually looks better than this dual camera setup on the Galaxy Note 8 you got the fingerprint sensor on the back now that's one of my things that I don't like and we'll talk about that later fingerprint sensors on the back not really feeling that but when you got the bezel as displays you got to take what you could get look at that display basically bezel is on the bottom here's a USB type-c now you got your single bottom firing speaker now add that to my list of things that I don't like already I don't understand why these companies are just putting one speaker on the bottom and not one in the earpiece like HTC alright so I'm not really feeling that but it is what it is there's your bottom firing with speaker will test that out in a second here's your volume up and down headphone jack you gotta mention that and there's your micro SD card slot alright so let's do a little comparison real quick just in case you want to see how this looks here's a Galaxy s8 and here's the LGV 30 V 30 is a little bit bigger and a little bit wider but you got to remember 6 inch display now that's kind of crazy if you think about it because the LG v v20 has a smaller display but the phone is actually bigger so now with the V 30 you're getting a smaller phone with a bigger display that's always ago now here's LG v 30 versus galaxy s 8 plus beautiful let's put them side-by-side now s 8 plus is a little bit taller and definitely a little bit a little bit thinner I so V 30s a little bit a little bit fatter LG g6 now until this phone came out the g6 was the best-looking LG phone to date I think we got a new champ right here V 30 because of these subtle curves in the display it just looks and feels a little bit better and it's a little bit bigger that was one of my main gripes with the g6 I think they should have made it bigger it looks a little bit narrow now we got some fatness now you we will go over some of the software features on this you do got your NOC code you could do that with the screen off not cold in the building just for fun Google picks you acts out one of the ugliest phones of the year but one of the best phones are here now I gotta compare this to my favorite looking phone that's out right now the HTC u 11 I'm sorry to you 11 it just who that the U 11 just looks better than me maybe we'll see what kind of colors they come out with this so far I've seen three colors I've seen black silver and pink by that launch we'll see what colors hit the market but it is what it is that you 11 is crazy alright so let's take a look at some of the software features real quick all right so let's check out some of the software that we got so far now here's your always-on display now if you notice you could actually swipe this so there's your media controls control all your music here's your toggles so you got a flashlight your Bluetooth your vibrate on and off your Wi-Fi your camera and you got screened right so let's show you how to screen right whoops see you outside you want to take a quick memo jot down some numbers and then you can save them to your gallery or to your quick memo or you can set that as a default app let's go back to the always-on display so you got those arrows I still would swipe over and that's pretty much it now if I had any messages got a few Gmail's and you got your battery percentage now you do have your double tap to wake the screen double tap to sleep it or you can use the fingerprint sensor which so far works pretty good now I'm just not a big fan of fingerprints on the back but the fingerprint sensor is super responsive works 100% of the time now I got my smart bulletin we'll go through that in a minute oh here's another thing I forgot to mention now a lot of people wanted to know was the IR blaster gonna make a return and as you can see no no IR blaster so right now I think war way is the last of the mohicans with the IR blasters on deck so we'll go through this in full detail when I do a review on a retail unit but just seeing smart bullet in got all your features now the way I got a set up right now there's no app drawer which I know you could just download your own different home launcher and have your app dick so let's go to settings and we'll start from the beginning alright so your basic settings really nothing to see there sound of notifications basic basic basic vibration strength you could change that different tones do not disturb lockscreen that I say you hide your sensitive information different apps hi-5 quad Dec now you see that's grayed out once you plug your headphones in you'll have access to the hi-5 deck now test that in detail now on the side note from what I'm hearing through the grapevine this phone should ship with some B&O headphones but we're seeing that that could be market dependent but I'm hoping that you get those for free alright so let's go to display there's your home screen lockscreen themes you got different themes now I got no LG one of the biggest theme stores out or your different fonts app scaling now when you got a big giant display like this you're gonna want to use app scaling so certain apps can take the full size of the screen screen resolution now a lot of people get on me because I hate this feature well I don't not saying I hate it but I never use it if you want you can change your resolution and put your phone in 1080 I don't know why would you do that you just spent all this money for qHD display leave it on cue HD now this is gonna save some battery but get yourself a battery charger or a battery charging case and enjoy that glory let's say you got comfort view that's when you're checking your Instagram messages in the middle of the night it's gonna make the screen look a little bit less bright gives it that yellowish tint screen color let's see we got our normal best for movies photos web custom and you got advanced video enhanced video color so we'll play with all that in a second now you can turn your always-on display on/off screen rotate screen timeout and you got advanced settings such as the knock-on code screen saver mini view if the phone is too big for your hands put it in mini view that's pretty much it general let's see anything we need to look at here we go floating bar now let's activate that I never tried that one yet so we'll play with that right now I'll see anything else blah blah blah okay that's pretty cool alright so here's a floating bar let's sit let's hit that real quick okay let's see how this works okay so basically it's like your old secondary display in your v20 but now you have the option to turn that on or off let's see can we move this okay so the floating bar can be moved or you can just remove it I'll leave it more towards the top okay so let's see I got your gifts your gifts jiff jiff gifts gift ifs whatever you want to call those calculator settings okay bunch of features on your floating bar like I said I don't want to go too deep into the software because some of this stuff might change so why explain it now and then it might change later now while it's charged let's check that out real quick to make sure that does work got a wireless charge on deck this is one of my favorite features wireless charge you see the blue light the phone is charging up so now you got you're buying a phone to make videos this is the one for you all right so you got sent a video check this out now send a video this is pretty dope because now you could change the actual colors of your videos and what I mean by that is say you and your boys now all windows old-school gangster suits with the Al Capone hats and you want to shoot a video and kind of give it that black and white old gritty look you could do that now you got point point zoom now what point zoom I gotta I gotta take this outside and show y'all this this is crazy point zoom means when you record him you could point on one subject and zoom in on that subject so you're not gonna have to keep moving the camera around you'll zoom in as you're zooming up with the squat with the eyes slider illumine on whatever image you locked on and the camera remain in stationary position like I said I'll do a full test on that later now check this out it goes with some of those different uh colors I was telling you about look at this this is a pop art flash back kind of gives it that gritty look thriller alright the blue tone not classic this what I'm talking about classic now you can't really tell you see it's black and white though that's kind of dope and you could add more color on the foot on the fly mystery historical drama whole bunch of different ones to set up or you could just have it on none ice let's take it back to mode now of course you got food snap movie pop out 360 panorama you got time-lapse you got your guide shot we went over all this stuff with the V 20 a lot of stuff is the same some of this stuff is new and we had to figure it out now you got manual video and you got manual camera still shots and manual video snapshot grid shot slow-motion basically all of the settings I solicit see how this picture came out we'll go to gallery look at the detail in this and it just looks so sick too with this bezel let's display we're gonna have so much fun with this camera we're gonna go crazy now let's speculate on the price right now I don't know the price yet but I'm gonna speculate after playing with this phone for a couple of minutes just now and looking at all the features looking at the build quality wireless charging water-resistant it's high-five deck LG I would set the price on this phone for 650 maybe if you get the beer no headphones let's say six 50 to 700 now if y'all set the price I'm talking directly to LG if you I set the price at 650 to 700 yeah I got to do some major damage in the phone game right now because the Galaxy Note 8 at almost $1,000 is ridiculous all right if you look if you don't use the s-pen there's no reason on this earth why you should be buying a Galaxy Note 8 for a thousand bucks unless you got one of the trade ins like I did and you get three to four hundred dollars off that might justify it but let's say six six to seven hundred bucks this phone would be an automatic go so far it's way better than v10 so far it's killing the v20 let's just hope let's just hope that this phone doesn't suffer from with all of the LG phones that I ever had suffer from software lag after a couple of months now personally my V 20 is unusable my v10 it wasn't that bad my g6 now maybe the g6 was the threshold because with my g6 I don't have any of that software lag I never had any boot loops so let's hope the g6 was a starting trend with all LG phones so we're gonna hope for the best so far though on a scale of one to ten fresh out of the box as a first look this is a major go anyway hit me up in the comments let me know what y'all think dope and you could add more color on the foot on the fly mystery historical drama whole bunch of different ones to set up or you could just have it on none ice let's take it back to mode now of course you got food snap movie pop out 360 panorama you got time-lapse you got your guide shot we went over all this stuff with the V 20 a lot of stuff is the same some of this stuff is new and we had to figure it out now you got manual video and you got manual camera still shots and manual video snapshot grid shot slow-motion basically all of the settings I solicit see how this picture came out we'll go to gallery look at the detail in this and it just looks so sick too with this bezel let's display we're gonna have so much fun with this camera we're gonna go crazy now let's speculate on the price right now I don't know the price yet but I'm gonna speculate after playing with this phone for a couple of minutes just now and looking at all the features looking at the build quality wireless charging water-resistant it's high-five deck LG I would set the price on this phone for 650 maybe if you get the beer no headphones let's say six 50 to 700 now if y'all set the price I'm talking directly to LG if you I set the price at 650 to 700 yeah I got to do some major damage in the phone game right now because the Galaxy Note 8 at almost $1,000 is ridiculous all right if you look if you don't use the s-pen there's no reason on this earth why you should be buying a Galaxy Note 8 for a thousand bucks unless you got one of the trade ins like I did and you get three to four hundred dollars off that might justify it but let's say six six to seven hundred bucks this phone would be an automatic go so far it's way better than v10 so far it's killing the v20 let's just hope let's just hope that this phone doesn't suffer from with all of the LG phones that I ever had suffer from software lag after a couple of months now personally my V 20 is unusable my v10 it wasn't that bad my g6 now maybe the g6 was the threshold because with my g6 I don't have any of that software lag I never had any boot loops so let's hope the g6 was a starting trend with all LG phones so we're gonna
