The Range Rover Evoque is a car that checks all the right boxes when it comes to luxury and performance. Its automatic transmission system, while sometimes eager to downshift, works great in manual mode, allowing drivers to take control of their driving experience. One area for improvement is its rev-matching feature, which doesn't quite match downshifts as seamlessly as some might hope.
Despite this minor quibble, the Evoque is a refined and luxurious vehicle that truly sets itself apart from other cars on the market. The interior, adorned with exquisite stitching and fine details such as LED-lit gauges and illuminated door sills, is a masterclass in design and craftsmanship. The exterior's sleek lines and chrome accents only add to its overall sense of sophistication and style.
While it may be tempting to opt for a more budget-friendly alternative, the Evoque is well worth the extra cost. Its advanced features, such as an optional surround sound system with cameras, make it a truly unique driving experience. And despite some minor drawbacks – such as the lack of air suspension and the sometimes-sensitive steering – the Evoque remains a capable and comfortable vehicle on both paved and unpaved roads.
In fact, one of the key strengths of the Evoque is its ability to navigate rough terrain with ease. While it's not a rock crawler by any stretch, the Range Rover brand has long been known for its off-road prowess, and the Evoque does an admirable job of getting you where you need to go safely and comfortably. Whether you're taking the trails to your weekend cabin or just navigating the city streets, the Evoque is up to the task.
Of course, it's worth noting that the Evoque is not a sports car, and its handling can feel a bit softer than some other vehicles in its class. However, this is also part of its charm – the Range Rover brand is all about delivering a comfortable and refined driving experience, rather than thrilling adrenaline-fueled rides.
One potential drawback to owning an Evoque is the high price tag. With a base price of $44,000 and options that can push the total cost well over $58,000, it's certainly not a car for the faint of heart. However, as we'll see below, this extra cost is worth it for the unique blend of luxury, performance, and off-road capability that the Evoque brings to the table.
In addition to its impressive on-road capabilities, the Evoque also boasts an advanced traction control system that can handle even the most challenging terrain with ease. And while it may not be as capable in truly extreme rock crawling situations as some other vehicles, it's perfectly suited for a day out on the trails – or simply navigating the occasional dirt road.
So how does the Evoque stack up against its rivals? For one thing, it's clear that Land Rover has learned from its mistakes with previous models and has created a car that truly feels like a Range Rover. Whether you're cruising through the city or tackling rough terrain, the Evoque delivers a sense of sophistication and refinement that's hard to find elsewhere.
Of course, as with any vehicle, there are some areas where the Evoque falls short. For example, some owners have noted that the carpeting on the dead pedal isn't properly protected, which can lead to wear and tear over time. And while the Evoque is certainly capable of handling a variety of terrain, it's not necessarily designed for extreme off-roading – it's more geared towards everyday driving and occasional excursions into the great outdoors.
In our experience, however, these minor quibbles are easily outweighed by the Evoque's many strengths. From its stunning good looks to its impressive performance capabilities, this car truly has something for everyone. Whether you're looking for a luxurious urban runabout or a capable off-road companion, the Range Rover Evoque is an excellent choice – and one that we would highly recommend to anyone in the market for a premium SUV.

Victoria Beckham and will roll up to the club landing myself a footballer or at the very least a newer younger equally rich husband that doesn't have to keep a doctor on speed dial in case the cialis doesn't wear off after four hours is the Evoque a soccer mom special a blinged out accessory for the stylish women of Beverly Hills or is it a true Range Rover today we've come to hungry Valley off-road area and that's what we're gonna find out while yes at first glance this car does seem like a bit of jewelry a fashion accessory if you will I think to call it that is doing a great disservice to the people who engineered it as well as to the car itself I have been driving this car around for a week and I'm about to tell you why I have absolutely fallen in love with it just look at it this car is gorgeous from every angle the design is clearly from the Range Rover family but it looks as if the full-size Rover actually did have sex with Victoria Beckham and somehow produced offspring it's not particularly masculine but there's no denying it's pretty and then there's the power while 240 horsepower doesn't seem like much from a two litre turbocharged engine the 250 pounds of torque come on low and strong shoving the Evoque off the line with the grunt of a luxury car not the weazy lag of any cano box the Haldex all-wheel drive system has been tuned specifically for this car optimized for both bad weather and off-road performance but what's really surprising is how well it helps the car handle it does dial out a lot of the understeer under power and with a sticky set of tires you actually could have a fairly solid on-road performance hatchback I ought across this car the other day and it did a lot better than I expected it to and I took it through the canyons and quite a few sports cars and even a motorcycle or two had to move out of my way not something you'd expect out of a Range Rover the 6-speed transmission is pretty good it's a little bit eager to downshift in places where it doesn't really need to and the torque would actually carry you through but the manual mode works great it doesn't completely Rev match down shifts but it doesn't drag on the transmission on the way down either it makes a nice sound it's rather refined it is a four-cylinder but you get a little boost noise a big part of what makes a Range Rover special are the details which fear not are aplenty the exquisitely stitched leather interior is perhaps the finest integration of lime trim I've ever seen the door sills illuminate blue the numbers on the gauges are marked with LED fed glass there's finely textured details in the xenon headlights and LED tail lights even the subtle red evoke badge adds a nice touch of contrast now while it's true all the toys do add to the evokes price tag the base price is $44,000 this one is way up at fifty eight thousand dollars you might think that you want to skimp on that stuff and just get the base model if you want a cheap off-roader that's not the way to go what you'll end up with is basically a cheap car with a nice badge what you really want is to get all that stuff because that's part of what makes a Range Rover a range everything in here is automatic the windshield wipers the high beams the heated windshield which you really never see in many other cars everything about it it just takes care of it on its own the traction control system usually an automatic unlike the Range Rover though if you go off-road you do have to tell it what kind of surface you're on still a very advanced unit now although the Evoque pretty much epitomizes the high dorsal low roofline look I mean it's real 20s gangster stuff in here chop through you think it would be pretty cave-like but actually with the full sliding panoramic glass roof it feels a lot more open in here than you'd expect it to and believe it or not you can fit people in the backseat although it's a little annoying to crawl over the front seats to get there the overall effect is of a true luxury car worthy of its price tag like it's bigger brother the Evoque comes with an optional surround sound camera system which more than makes up for the lack of visibility out the rear window there's so many cameras in this car I honestly expect Chris Hanson to show up and go are you here for sex sadly not everything about the Evoque is as perfect as it seems colleagues I don't like about the car the carpeting on the dead pedal isn't covered with aluminum so it actually will probably get worn out pretty quickly the steering is very very sensitive especially on Center you only have to turn about that much and look how much the cars moving it's a lot sharper than I'm used to for a vehicle that's really meant for off-roading and daily driving not a sports car I also really wish they would stop using Jaguars shifter puck but I forgot about that once the window stopped working if you look over here watch the window it won't it it goes down to there and stops unlike the full-size Range Rover the Evoque does not get an air suspension it has a standard non adjustable suspension that is handling this wash pretty nicely so far we came upon an ideally named trail seemingly named straight at the evokes target demographic the Range Rovers do have an unbelievably good traction control system I'm on 20 inch wheels right now with continental all-season tires I've got no problem getting through this let's be honest the Evoque is not a rock crawler in the same way that the full-size Range Rover is and most first owners aren't even gonna use full-size range roads for rock crawling that's what the third owners do once they're not worth anything but the most you're ever realistically gonna have to do with one of these things it's a nice dirt road then maybe has some holes and some bumps and stuff like that and it's doing pretty good it's also important to note how you drive a Range Rover you're not supposed to tear ass up the wash the way you would in a raptor or even a work 2 Jeep Wrangler or a baja truck Range Rovers all of them Land Rovers are designed to get you where you need to go safely comfortably and without damaging the equipment I came away from my week with the Evoque with an overwhelmingly positive vibe towards it it looks cool drives well feels solid as a rock even on the roughest surfaces and works
