Why I Still Use an iPhone

**The Android Enthusiast's Dilemma: A Personal Perspective**

As I sit here reflecting on my personal relationship with both iPhone and Android, I have to admit that it's not as simple as choosing one over the other. For me, the decision comes down to a combination of factors, including functionality, user experience, and personal preference.

One of the main reasons I've always been drawn to iPhone is its seamless integration across all Apple devices. My brother, who also has an iPhone, can easily text me back and forth, and I can see that he's read my messages in real-time. This level of connectivity is something that Android phones just can't match, at least not yet. Additionally, the iPhone's operating system is known for its ease of use and intuitive interface, making it a joy to navigate even for those who aren't tech-savvy.

However, there are also many reasons why I've come to appreciate Android as well. One of the main advantages is the sheer variety of devices available from different manufacturers. Whether you're looking at high-end flagships like the Galaxy S or Nexus 5, or more affordable options like the HTC One, there's an Android phone out there that can meet your needs and budget. This diversity of choice means that Android users are often able to find a device that fits their specific requirements, whether it's a camera enthusiast looking for a top-of-the-line model, or someone who just wants a reliable daily driver.

Another reason I've grown fond of Android is its flexibility when it comes to customizing the home screen and interface. Unlike iPhone, which has a more limited range of customization options, Android allows users to personalize their phone to a much greater extent. This can be a real game-changer for those who want to make their phone truly unique, whether that means adding widgets, changing icon packs, or even installing custom launchers.

Of course, one of the biggest reasons I've stuck with iPhone is its camera capabilities. While Android phones have certainly caught up in terms of quality and features, there's still something about the iPhone's cameras that can't be beat. The latest iPhone 5s, for example, has a camera system that's arguably one of the best on the market, with features like slow-motion video and improved low-light performance.

Despite my affection for Android, I have to admit that one area where I feel limited is in terms of screen size. As someone with large hands, I often find myself struggling to navigate the smaller screens found on many Android devices. This is why I've always been drawn to larger-screen iPhones like the iPhone 5s, which offer a more comfortable viewing experience and a wider range of apps.

Another area where Android excels is in its compatibility with other devices. With features like Google Play Services and Google Drive, Android phones can easily integrate with other Google services, making it easy to share files, access photos, and sync contacts between devices. This level of integration is something that Apple hasn't yet matched, although recent updates have helped to close the gap.

One app that's helped me appreciate the benefits of Android even more is MoneyWiz, a finance management tool that allows users to track their expenses, create budgets, and even connect with banks to automatically sync transactions. While similar apps are available on iOS, I've found that MoneyWiz has a level of functionality and customization options that make it stand out from the competition.

Finally, there's one more factor that's worth mentioning: Apple's commitment to regular software updates. With new iPhones released every year or so, users can expect a steady stream of security patches, feature additions, and performance improvements. This level of support is something that Android manufacturers have struggled with in the past, although recent efforts have helped to improve the situation.

**The Verdict: A Personal Preference**

So, where does all this leave me? For now, I'll continue to use my iPhone as my primary device, but I also appreciate the benefits that Android offers. While there's no one "right" answer when it comes to choosing between these two options, I do think that both have their strengths and weaknesses.

If you're considering switching from Android to iPhone, or vice versa, I'd encourage you to try out both options and see which one feels more natural for you. There are pros and cons to each platform, but ultimately, the choice comes down to personal preference. And who knows? You might just find that you prefer the integration of an Apple device, or the flexibility of Android.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhi everyone this is aaron for zollotech and i wanted to just have a casual conversation on why i use iphone a lot of you ask why would i use an iphone over an android phone not many say over a windows phone or over a blackberry or whatever you use why would i use one well there's really a few different reasons and the main reason is everyone i know in my family circle which is large i have a pretty large family every single one of them uses iphones or apple products for the most part now some of that's my fault as in i actually am kind of their own family i t person and uh at one point got sick of windows and fixing that all the time so everyone's using macs and ipads and iphones and it just makes it easier so the reason i'm using this really is it's difficult to get away from things like facetime and imessage when everyone has an iphone i can see when they're chatting back i can see when they're they're facetiming me obviously and i can just easily use that now you can do all of those similar things using hangouts on android but since almost no one that i hang out with regularly uses android that makes that pretty inconvenient so i know it depends where you live who your friends and family are and what they use and that really makes a very big difference and you can see my brother actually just texted me and then i can reply and it lets me know that he's read my message i can see what time and you can do that with android just as well windows phone you can use skype and blackberry you can use all sorts of different things so that's really the main reason the other thing too is some people will say don't i feel limited and don't i feel like i could do so much more with android you know honestly i do use android i use it all the time i use it alongside my iphone i actually carry a galaxy or a nexus 4 regularly around and i play around with that and i just use it on wifi mostly and i have a nexus tablet that i use from time to time but honestly i find myself using the apple products most of the time just because they integrate so well together there's also a few apps that keep me from switching such as moneywiz but that will be on android pretty soon and it's a really great app and i use it to basically keep track of all my finances similar to a checkbook something like that and i can just see what's what i have in my bank accounts so that's pretty pretty nice to use and the camera is another big thing it's very few and far between that you find an android phone that has as good of a camera as the iphone 5s there are some arguably such as the note 3 the galaxy s4 s5 coming out but i personally like the way the photos are on the the iphone 5s i would like a bigger screen that's one of my biggest complaints i have huge hands as you can see here i really could use a bigger a bigger display but it's not that big of a deal that it's going to make me not switch unless they never change it so other than that there's integration with other things i actually have a lightning connector in my car i just plug it in and it works great and i can just control all of my music from my iphone everything i have basically is around apple that way now i do have a surface 2 i do have nexus tablets i even use windows 8 from time to time dual boot on my macbook so it's not that i'm not familiar with them it's just what i personally prefer to use it doesn't mean that iphone is better at all than android phones there's lots of choice out there for android and i really like the htc one i love the nexus 4. it's actually one of my favorite hardware phones ever the nexus 5 is okay but i prefer the nexus 4 hardware as far or the design but i wish they would have given the screen to the nexus 4 that the nexus 5 has in it there's lots of different reasons i could go on and on and on but that's really the main reason a lot of you say i'm a fan boy it's not so much that i'm a fan boy it's just that it works well with everybody i hang out with in my family i do like android and i think they're making some great changes uh one of the other reasons i didn't mention is i love how often apple updates things even though it's subtle and not that many there's not that many updates you can include or you can include you can basically know that you're going to have an update every so often and your phone's going to be supported if you have the latest couple devices that's not necessarily the case on android unless you have a nexus device but then you don't know how often they're going to update it anyway recently they've been updating it pretty regularly but that's one of the main reasons i haven't used android in the past so other than that that's pretty much it i do plan to do a live uh a live q a session on youtube so i just want to give you a heads up for that and i wonder what you think of iphone and android and uh what what one you prefer please let me know if you've tried both of them if you've only tried an iphone don't say that android stinks because you haven't tried an android phone and vice versa if you haven't tried an iphone and you think android's the greatest well try the other and then let me know what you think if you think one is better than the other fine it's not uh it's not really at the point anymore where one is that much better than the other there's little features here and there that are better on one and better on the other so let me know in the comments below let me know if you have any questions you'd like to see answered in a live session
