Chicken Steak with Gravy in 30 Minutes - Super Delicious

Hey Guys, How You Doing? Today We're Making Up This Super Delicious Chicken Steak with Gravy.

Dave is here today to make this delicious chicken steak with gravy, and he's decided to do it differently than traditional methods. Instead of using pork or beef, he's chosen to use real chicken. He starts by butterflying two boneless skinless chicken breasts. To butterfly the chicken, Dave uses a pounding tool to gently flatten them out. He then seasons both sides with salt and ground black pepper. After seasoning, Dave moves on to the dredging station, where he coats the chicken in flour, then in egg, and finally back in flour for a double dredge.

Once the chicken is coated, Dave sets it aside in a pan filled with hot oil at 350 degrees Fahrenheit. He cooks the chicken for about three and a half minutes on each side, or until it's crispy and golden brown. After cooking the chicken, Dave sets it aside on a wire rack to cool. Now that the chicken is cooked, he moves on to making the mushroom gravy.

To make the gravy, Dave uses the same pan he used to cook the chicken, discarding the oil and adding fresh oil instead. He then adds three tablespoons of butter and lets it melt down before adding in six chopped mushrooms. The mushrooms are optional, but Dave likes them because they add flavor to the dish. He cooks the mushrooms until they change color and release their liquid, then adds three tablespoons of flour to coat them evenly.

If you're not using mushrooms, you can simply add the flour and stir it around until it's no longer white. After that, Dave adds in a cup and a half of chicken stock, whisking it until it becomes smooth and creamy. He lets the gravy cook for a bit, then adds the remaining half of the stock, stirring until it thickens up. Once the gravy is thickened to Dave's liking, he turns off the heat.

Now that both the chicken and gravy are ready, Dave moves on to plating the dish. He starts with the delicious chicken steak, followed by a serving of his all-time favorite mashed potatoes. The mashed potatoes can be whatever you like, but Dave prefers them because they complement the flavors in the dish perfectly. Finally, Dave adds a spoonful of his incredible mushroom gravy over the top of the mashed potatoes and garnishes it with chopped parsley to make it look nice.

To finish off the article, Dave takes a moment to taste-test the finished dish. He's thrilled with how everything turned out – the chicken is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, while the gravy is rich and flavorful. The combination of all the flavors together is what makes this dish truly special, according to Dave.
