Corvette zo6 Woodstock made 505 horsepower but I've always wanted the zr1 which makes 638 horsepower but it costs $30,000 more now I didn't want to sell my car and take the $10,000 appreciation hit and then pay an additional 30 grand for a new car making my total price out of pocket forty grand so instead I decided to add heads cam intake exhaust and get to the power levels of the zr1 and save myself about thirty thousand dollars without getting General Motors involved now if you're scared of more power and you've ever said the words well I think my car is fast enough go ahead and click on the I want my mommy button which sends you directly to the Disney Channel now today we're gonna have a long-range all-wheel drive model three it has a 0-60 time that tests the advertised about four and a half seconds some people have seen as low as four point four in that trim and with the performance upgrade from Tesla for $2000 you can get it down to the full four to about 3.9 and my friend is too cheap to pay for that and he's all about bang for the buck but as of right now his car will not be any faster than 3.9 now let's get into his car and verify how fast his car is we're going to look at the MCU screen and we're gonna confirm that this is in fact a you know a standard car and our performance car will do some 0-60 testing to see how much performance bump we could get out of this upgrade all right so we're plugging the draggy in obviously I didn't charge the draggy so it's flashing red but I'm gonna plug it into the USB ports underneath here and hopefully that gives me some juice that should be good for now I'm gonna put it on the dashboard I'm gonna go for a cruise so now we're gonna go for it we're on the highway we're gonna do a quick pull this is the the model 3 ring right here either dragging my hand and then whatever heats ready to go we'll do it 3060 there we go so that was 0 to 30 in 2.4 60-foot 2.37 due to 60 and 4.5 seconds and what we'll do is we'll do another run on the way back just to confirm oh we're good both ways wind direction and all that stuff and then we'll be I would be good to go no out of the 9 runs the best we got was 4.4 seconds verified by the draggy now my friend realize unless he pays 2 grand a Tesla his car isn't getting any faster so after the crushing disappointment settles in to maintain interest in the vehicle he will look at is just how crazy it is that these cars can now be upgraded outside of Tesla you no longer have to wait for Tesla to say hey you know what your cars could be faster now you could make that decision yourself and a lot of this happens with other auto manufacturers like you know you the BMW performance line you have the Audi s line the RS series you have cars like the Hellcats and Camaros and zero sixes there's a lot of third-party manufacturers and tuners that make these cars faster that you don't have to wait for for example the the current level zero six that's out right now you don't have to wait until the zr1 comes out to get better performance the manufacturer wants you to force you into that if you have a model three long range that you purchase and you know what I really wish I got a better performance bump even better than what Tesla offers there is an option for that now and that's what we're trying to proclaim that's what we're super excited about a lot of the basic people and under simps don't really understand that unfortunately but this is a huge step in really cracking the code on these cars and making them more mass adopted and for the tuner series because people like performance cars and want tuning they won't be able to make them faster or tweak them and you could tell how this happens by people simply upgrading so many things on these cars that you have new wheels new suspension or our wrap job and that's all people are doing right now that's the only thing you can do to a Tesla to increase the performance you can get bigger brakes all you want you get bigger tires or sticking your tires all you want you could change the color and wrap it whatever matte color you want but you cannot increase the performance all you can do is wait you have cars like the Hellcats and Camaros and zero sixes there's a lot of third-party manufacturers and tuners that make these cars faster that you don't have to wait for for example the the current level zero six that's out right now you don't have to wait until the zr1 comes out to get better performance the manufacturer wants you to force you into that if you have a model three long range that you purchase and you know what I really wish I got a better performance bump even better than what Tesla offers there is an option for that now and that's what we're trying to proclaim that's what we're super excited about a lot of the basic people and under simps don't really understand that unfortunately but this is a huge step in really cracking the code on these cars and making them more mass adopted and for the tuner series because people like performance cars and want tuning they won't be able to make them faster or tweak them and you could tell how this happens by people simply upgrading so many things on these cars that you have new wheels new suspension or our wrap job and that's all people are doing right now that's the only thing you can do to a Tesla to increase the performance you can get bigger brakes all you want you get bigger tires or sticking your tires all you want you could change the color and wrap it whatever matte color you want but you cannot increase the performance all you can do is wait and pay the two grand or Tesla to make your car not as fast as a performance variant but as you can see this car was kicking this performance variants ass all over the place all I'm saying is I've been repeating myself there is a new option now I am super excited about this for the adoption of more V's these cars are tunable you can make them quicker you
