The Bentley Continental GT: A Car of Unparalleled Luxury and Performance

As I stepped into the luxurious cabin of the Bentley Continental GT, I couldn't help but feel a sense of awe at its opulent design. The dashboard is adorned with gleaming metallic accents, while the seats are upholstered in rich leather that exudes refinement and sophistication. A subtle LED light show illuminates the interior, casting an otherworldly glow over the car's expansive cabin. I was particularly impressed by the attention to detail in the console, where a small graphic reveals the status of the rear spoiler, adding a touch of whimsy to this already extraordinary vehicle.

The exterior of the Continental GT is equally striking, with diamond-shaped LED lights that seem to shimmer and shine like Swarovski crystals in the sunlight. The massive 420mm iron brake discs up front are a testament to the car's impressive braking capabilities, while the four-wheel drive system provides stability and traction on even the most challenging terrain. When I took the Continental GT for a spin, I was thrilled to discover that it can accelerate from 0-60mph in an astonishing 3.6 seconds, a true marvel of modern engineering.

But what truly sets the Continental GT apart is its incredible engine performance. Powered by a 6-litre twin-turbocharged W12 petrol engine, producing a staggering 635 horsepower and 900 Newton meters of torque, this car is a force to be reckoned with on the road. The sound it produces is akin to thunder in the distance, a deep rumble that seems to shake the very foundations of the earth.

I had the opportunity to put the Continental GT's performance capabilities to the test, and I was blown away by its sheer speed and agility. With a top speed of over 200mph, this car can leave even the most seasoned drivers in its wake. However, I must admit that the engine is also remarkably efficient, with an impressive fuel economy rating of 22 miles per gallon, making it well-suited for long-distance cruising.

One feature that sets the Continental GT apart from other luxury cars is its advanced infotainment system. The car's touchscreen display is incredibly intuitive, with a user-friendly interface and a comprehensive range of features, including navigation, Bluetooth connectivity, and a high-quality audio system. I was also impressed by the car's ability to customize its driving experience, with options such as Comfort Mode, Sport Mode, and Bentley Mode, which adjusts the throttle response, steering feel, and suspension settings for optimal performance.

However, there is one notable exception to my otherwise glowing assessment of the Continental GT - its rear visibility. The dashboard design creates a letterbox-like effect, making it difficult to see what's happening behind the car without looking over your shoulder. While this may not be a major issue for most drivers, I couldn't help but feel that it was a minor flaw in an otherwise exceptional vehicle.

In conclusion, the Bentley Continental GT is a true marvel of modern automotive engineering, offering unparalleled luxury, performance, and sophistication on the road. Its advanced features, stunning design, and incredible engine capabilities make it a compelling choice for anyone seeking a high-end driving experience. Whether you're a seasoned car enthusiast or simply looking to indulge in some well-deserved pampering behind the wheel, the Continental GT is sure to leave you feeling impressed and, indeed, rather spoilt.

To give readers a better idea of just how impressive this car is, I took advantage of Bentley's online configurator tool to explore the various trim options and customization possibilities available. By tweaking settings like the suspension stiffness, steering feel, and infotainment display layout, I discovered that there's an option for every taste and preference. Whether you're looking for a comfortable cruise or a thrilling drive, the Continental GT is tailored to your every whim.

And, as if all this weren't enough, I spotted an Easter Egg in the video footage - a small, tantalizing glimpse of the car's glove box, which contains a Continental chocolate, a sweet treat that adds a touch of whimsy to this already extraordinary vehicle.

Andrews or Pebble Beach so it's functionally works doesn't really matter that it doesn't feel cheap in fact all the switches with the metal effect like I say it's just gosh it's lovely so when the switch is down here they're nice and laid there but there can be a bit confusing to use when you're driving but you can feel your way around them okay and there is a decent amount of storage in here so they've got huge door bins which is handy for your bottle of water down here there's the special storage area which I imagine could be used for your cigars but I don't have any Cubans so I'm having to use a Troy white marker to illustrate that there is a bit of storage in here but the glovebox isn't the largest and it's okay you can put your expensive leather gloves in there's a bit more storage into there and this guy actually has a wireless charging point for your mobile phone and then under here there's some really deep cup holders I mean look at that look at the way that opens I mean the quality in here is just impeccable you know all the wood just feels great and even the speaker covers for this upgraded name audio system which by the way is so loud the bass is thumping it's almost like thunder it's so good that feels glorious everything you touch and feel is glorious however what's it like for people in the back this is supposed to be a four-seater kupe so come on yes that will slide out the way good shouldn't have to do anything manually in its Bentley also the door there you get soft clothes and it's got this little seat belt Butler there so you don't have to reach for your own belt now I'm just gonna put the seat back I've never been in the rear of this car before let's see what it's like he's gonna cross my legs no just about go enough me room foot space is a little bit tight and the seat is rather deep so it's actually pressing against my car so it's not the most comfy back here and head rooms tight as well though my head is touching this beautiful leather roof lining annoyingly they've got product in my head it's gonna end up leaving body stayed on there these seats are gorgeous you've got your own rear windows as well which is nice it's a bit of fresh air in there's some storage and cupholders under here you've got 12 volt socket you've got charging point for your mobile phone you've even got some freeloading if you want to carry skis in the back and look at this this is a bit unusual never heard that before normally this would be hidden just but yes I could probably sell that on eBay for about 500 pounds now let's check out the boot because this is quite a big car but I don't reckon it's got the biggest boot I think you know it's a sporty coupe eh but it's decent enough in size I mean look at that you can fit a large suitcase and there is a bit of a lip delicious stuff over but to stop you scratching your paintwork there is a scuff plate here I think it might be plastic but it looks like metal and I'll forgive it because quality in the boot here is really good even the carpets here a thick they're almost as thick as in the front and check this out for the 12 volt socket it's damped now the thing with this boot is that they're designed it to be wide enough to take a set of golf clubs look golf clubs fit quite easily now if you want more detail on this card's practicar I'd say click on the pop-out bat in the top right hand corner of the screen you'd be able to see just how much stuff you can fit in this cars boot and some other things as well however this car isn't all perfect here's five annoying things about it this steering wheel looks super lovely I really like the large Bentley logo seems posh shame then because they have to write air back so big that beneath it I bagged the surrounds for these parking sensors just look all they don't even fit properly there for some reason you can't get the Bentley Continental GT with Android auto what is that because Android phones are as good as iPhones I think not because the new Galaxy S 9 is definitely better than an iPhone 10 discuss in the comments box below I love the shiny grille just looks expensive shame there that the rest of the vents a cheap plastic mesh kind of thing that you find on a budget act back when you're driving the light reflects in this shiny strip but it catches the corner of your eye on your voice it isn't in the vehicle just in your blind spot don't worry there's still plenty to like about this car is the car y5 cool features the head-up display is really big and bright and very useful while you're driving you can show things like the directions from the satellite navigation your speed and the actual speed limit when you put the rear spoiler up manually it shows that you've done that on a little graphic on the cars display just kind of cool I absolutely love the look of the lights they've been designed to look like diamonds and maybe they're just Swarovski crystals there's a big reason it definitely diamonds digital display a little bit too modern for you don't worry you can turn back time by rotating the screen around there's some analog dials and then when you turn the car off he'll all just flick away and reveal just a nice clean simple wooden surface these are the biggest iron brake discs on any production car they're 420 millimeters in diameter so no wonder it stopped so well now it's time to hit the road to see what this car is to drive how fast can a car which weighs 2.2 turns actually be well we're gonna find out cuz I've got some special timing equipment up there I'm gonna launch this Bentley crikey this is nuts this is very very very very fast Wow Wow I've got to hand it to the brakes first of all I mean they you slammed on the anchors that's good news the brakes are good but what about the performance whoo the standing quarter time is eleven point seven seconds I'm gonna check out the nought-60 as well it's supposed to do it in 3.7 seconds but what did I get 3.6 seconds this is rapid so then why is this car so bloomin quick well that's because underneath the bonnet is a 6-litre w12 twin turbocharged petrol engine with 635 horsepower and 900 Newton meters of torque and I love this engine it is so powerful there's something almost geological to it in the way there's it's relentless and it makes the noise our opting volcano it is so good now there is a small matter of economy in the missions which yeah they're not great they're not great but I'm actually averaging 22 miles per gallon now that could be quite expensive but if you can afford this car you don't care about that what's more important is how far you can go between fuel stops and this guy's a big petrol taxi with that economy I could go about 450 miles between having to pull up and rub shoulders with normal people at a petrol station yeah I can twist a dial down here and put everything in comfort mode and it softens off the air suspension and then does a throttle response makes this steering a bit lighter and yeah it's all wofully and relaxing and comfy the best mode though is a special Bentley mode which is the best of both worlds between sportiness and comfort yeah you chuck it into a corner and it somehow grips and goes round for instance on a twisty road now and it's surprisingly good you see this new Continental GT seems to just continue just holding its line whereas the old one would have kind of just run out of talent and started to wobble off the road it is genuinely good fun when you get the opportunity to throw a perfect that's a bit wrong doing this it's a bit like driving the British Museum really fast down the road you can do with total confidence in the four-wheel drive system just grips and grips and grips it's really really impressive and you can send loads of power to the back I mean it is rear drive bias so it feels sporty it's it's not quite as agile assuming like Ferrari GTC for less so but I think it's nicer inside but I could live like this I what a car actually a very critical there is something I don't like about the driving experience and that's the rear visibility which is kind of letterbox like that's the best way to describe it is there anything else I don't like No now if you click on the pop up out in the top right hand corner of the screen on the link below the video you can get a kawaii calm to see how much you can save on a new car so they wants my final verdict on the Bentley Continental GT should you avoid it should you consider it should you shortlist it or should you just go right ahead and buy it well dinner Wi-Fi wooden the lottery or if I was a football player I'd buy it I love this car I really do man it's epic if you enjoyed this video please like it comment on it and share it also click on our logo to subscribe to this channel and if you click on the bottom right hand corner you can actually watch more of our content meanwhile click over to the right to go to add deals page to see how much money you can save on a new car a car Wow now did he spot the Easter Egg in this video it was the Continental chocolate in the cars glove boxthis is the new Bentley Continental GT now the old guard a bit of a reputation for being driven by people who who tended to play with these things for a living and this do you want it may end up being the same because if you've got lots of money and he wants something that's really cool and stylish and fast you're gonna go for this now I love the design of this car so it's just so cool these creases the chrome detailing the wide haunches here at the back now some people who've seen it say I'm not so sure about the rear but I love it I like the way these lights match the exhaust and it's just all kind of sleek and squat and strong there at the front you got a beautiful grill this car is stunning the guy who designed this has created a masterpiece it's for me as beautiful as any constable so yeah I'm not talking policemen obvious I'm talking art guys booking art now this car it's not cheap date starts from just under 160,000 pounds now if you know of anyone who's looking to buy a new car click on the pop-out bearing the top right hand corner of the screen or on the link below the video because you can refer them to car WA and if they buy a car through us we'll give you a 50 pound Amazon gift card as you'd imagine the inside of this car is just gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous no the particular car I've got here has got almost 50,000 pounds worth of options on it and 34,000 pounds of that is the first edition specification and that's signified by this little number one with the Union Jack there up on the dash so it includes stuff like the Melina Pat which includes like diamond quilting the car also has the knurling on the air vents and on various of the bits and pieces such as the little organ stops it's just feel quality I mean everything is just lovely there's a metal effect for all the switches and things like the door handles are actually solid metal I love it in here I really do then there's attention to detail such as the way the vents match up to this metal strip that goes all the way around the cabin I mean that is really pleasing my OCD there is something that normally wouldn't for instance the stitching up on here does me Andersson what I can forgive it that actually why it's because this is hand Stitch now if this done by robots I'd want it dead straight but the fact that it is slightly wonky it's kind of lets you know that it's been done by a man obviously if it'd been a Japanese person they'd probably did it dead straight but that's British that's what we're like in England and it's a bit like John Lennon's voice the fact that it's imperfect is what makes it so perfect and the leather quality throughout us just lush it's so supersoft it's got like a boutique tailored feel to it there are a few things I'm not so sure about though so you've got digital dolls in this car and they're really functional and I like what they've done with them they look almost real the way they've got like a 3d effect partly just wants old fashioned analog dials but there is great functionality with this so you can do things like look at the the sat-nav make it go widescreen connect your phone look through various functions and yeah it's all good and then there's the wide screen infotainment display which it's okay to use it you can tell it's based on the system used by Audi for some reason they tried to personalize it make it a bit more Bentley but it's it's actually not as easy to use now if you click on the pop-out button the top right hand corner the screen or the link below the video you can actually see my full in-depth review of the infotainment system now that brings me onto something else because there are a few parts in here that you will find in other VW products a such as these switches on the steering wheel a bit like those you get in a golf now
