### The Budget Build: Maximizing Value
Let’s start with the **budget build** and focus on NVIDIA graphics cards. For under £200, you can find some great options—though this is still a significant amount of money compared to what it was just a few months or years ago. However, the real deals are in the used market.
For example:
- A **reconditioned RTX 1660 Super** for £170.
- A **pre-owned RTX 1660** for around £130.
These used options provide excellent performance and can save you a lot of money compared to new cards. Just be cautious when buying pre-owned GPUs, as some may have been mined or show signs of heavy use. For now, we’ll go with the **RTX 1660 Super** for our build.
#### Chassis Selection
Next up is the chassis. We’re looking for a **Micro ATX board** that offers good airflow, which can sometimes be hard to find at this price point. The **Lian Li Lancool 205M** is a great choice—it’s well-built and provides decent ventilation for the components you’ll be using.
#### Motherboard
For the motherboard, we’re going with an **Intel B660**. This board is affordable and highly future-proof. It supports four sticks of memory, PCIe Gen 4 for both SSDs and GPUs, making it a solid choice for our build. We recommend the **ASRock B660M Pro RS** as it’s reliable and does the job well.
#### CPU
For the CPU, we’re selecting the **Intel Core i3-12100F**, which retails for £99. While it’s quad-core, it offers excellent performance for gaming, especially when paired with a powerful GPU like the RTX 1660 Super.
#### RAM
We’re opting for **16GB of DDR4 memory** for £49.99. This is more than enough for gaming and general use, and it’s an excellent investment given its affordability.
#### Storage
For storage, we recommend the **Samsung SN570 SSD**, available for just £49.99 with a 500GB capacity. It’s fast and reliable, making it a great choice for a starter PC.
#### Power Supply
Finally, we’ll use a **Corsair RM350x** power supply for £34.99. It’s modular, efficient (Bronze rated), and provides all the necessary juice for our build.
**Total Cost:** Around £563.

### The Mid-Range Build: Balance and Performance
For our mid-range build, we’re focusing on a balance between performance and value. The standout component here is the **RTX 3060 Ti**, currently available for £400—a great deal compared to its MSRP.
#### CPU Upgrade
We’re stepping up to an **Intel Core i5-12400F** this time, which costs around £180. While it’s a slight upgrade from the i3, the performance difference is minimal for gaming, especially with our RTX 3060 Ti.
#### Motherboard
For the motherboard, we’re choosing the **Gigabyte AORUS GA-AB550-Gaming XP** for £160. It’s well-built and offers great features for mid-range builds.
#### RAM
We’ll stick with **DDR4 memory** for this build, opting for 16GB of Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro Black at £60.
#### Storage
For storage, we’re using the **Samsung SN770 Gen 4 SSD**, available for £80. It’s fast and reliable, making it a no-brainer for gaming.
#### Chassis
The **H510 Flow** case is our choice for this build—it’s sleek, affordable at £70, and provides decent airflow despite its compact size.
#### Cooling
We’ll add an **i-35 air cooler** for £35 to keep our CPU cool during gaming sessions.
#### Power Supply
Finally, we’re using the **Thermaltake Tough 650W PSU**, fully modular and Gold-rated, for £80.
**Total Cost:** Around £1,081.

### The High-End Build: Fully Maxed Out Gaming PC
For our high-end build, we’re going all out to create the ultimate gaming machine.
#### CPU
The **Ryzen 7 5800X 3D** is our choice for the CPU—it’s currently the fastest gaming processor you can buy (excluding Intel’s i9).
#### Motherboard
We’re pairing it with the **ASUS ROG Strix X570-F Gaming WiFi**, a premium motherboard that supports all the necessary features.
#### Cooling
For cooling, we’re using the **Corsair H100i Elite Capellix AIO cooler** for £94. It’s sleek and provides excellent cooling for our hot-running Ryzen chip.
#### Case
The **Lian Li Lancool 205T** case is perfect for this build—it allows us to place the radiator at the top for better airflow.
#### RAM
We’re opting for **32GB of G.Skill Trident Z Royal DDR4 memory**, running at 3600MHz, for £127.
#### Storage
For storage, we’re using the **Samsung 980 Pro SSD** for £110—a fantastic choice for fast load times and data access.
#### GPU
The final piece of the puzzle is the **NVIDIA RTX 3080 Tough**, available for under £700. It’s a beast for gaming, and while newer models may come out soon, this card will hold its value well.
**Total Cost:** Around £2,046.

### Final Thoughts
Whether you’re building a budget PC or going all-in on a high-end rig, now is an excellent time to invest in components. Prices are stable, and availability is improving. However, keep an eye on the release of newer GPUs like the RTX 4080, as they may push current-gen cards down in price.
If you’re not in a rush, it might be worth waiting for these newer models. But if you need a PC now, the builds we’ve outlined are some of the best you can get right now.
