hi there this is ranjeet and in this video we're going to do the quick review for this samsung galaxy note 3 phablet and this review will be based on the exynos octa-core version
the first thing about the note 3 is the design it is a slim phone it's a fabric it has a huge screen that is 5.7 inch screen but the good thing is it's pretty light to hold and comfortable to use and the biggest departure is the back it's not plasticky uh it is fall leather that is fake leather and it gives a good feel but it's still a plastic
the back cover opens and it exposes the battery the battery on this note 3 is a massive 3200 milliamps battery i'll talk about the battery a bit later and regarding the performance
the performance of this phone was fabulous uh the exynos version has an octa-core processor the four cores are based on arm cortex a15 and the other four are based on the arm cortex a7
and i got some great battery life with this phone and i have to say even with the heavy usage uh it did not have any problem uh working for full 24 hours for light usage it should last you around two days
i have to say the performance was great it's a lack free phone so you'll have a very good experience in my testing for about five days
i did not notice any lagginess on the phone so it's a lag free phone coming to the camera it sports a 13 megapixel camera the same found on the samsung galaxy s4
and i would say the performance is very close to the camera that is found on the galaxy s4 which is a good thing because the camera performance was very good
one thing i noticed is an improvement is in the video quality particularly the audio quality the microphone on this note 3 is very good so the videos that you take the audio quality is very good
another thing that differentiates the note 3 from other devices is the s pen and samsung has improved upon that now you get a lot more functionality with the s pen
i cannot talk about that in this review i'll make another dedicated video regarding that but the s pen has been improved and if you're using the s pen you will like the note 3
another new thing with the note 3 is the micro usb 3 port which you is actually 2x faster compared to the standard micro usb 2 ports that you get with the phone
i tested it and i would say transfer speeds you can get up to 2x faster compared to other smartphones that just have the micro usb port coming to gaming
here the octa-core version has the mali 628 gpu and as of now i would say casual games and mid-range games i did not have any issues but in some of the high-end games it could not take advantage of that
and many of the games the graphic settings were set to low so as of now uh the developers haven't tweaked the mali uh games for mali 628 gpu so if a big gamer i would say wait and see because as of now the snapdragon 800 version is better for gaming
but this might change when developers take full advantage of the mali 628 gpu so overall the note 3 is a very uh impressive phone coming to the negative aspect
as i told you the octa-core version as of now for high-end gaming it is a little bit patchy and also in the octa-core version we do not get the 4k video recording
so overall as you can see the note 3 is a very impressive handset and i'm really impressed with the overall performance of this phone
and i have to say if you're looking for a large screen phone or a phablet have a serious look at this note 3
i have to say this is one of the best android phone for 2013 by samsung
