The Importance of Aligning AI with Your Enterprise Strategy

In today's day and age, AI cannot be overlooked by organizations. Many companies are still unaware of how to utilize AI or leverage it effectively within their organizations. However, I firmly believe that AI is going to become a cornerstone alongside data, data literacy, and becoming a data-driven organization for the large majority of organizations out there.

This shift towards aligning AI with business strategy is not only logical but also necessary to capitalize on its potential while keeping an eye on ethics, biases, and governance. It's essential to prioritize building AI use cases that align with business objectives and drive value. By doing so, organizations can unlock the true potential of AI and reap its benefits.

The key to success lies in understanding business objectives and identifying projects and use cases that align with the direction of the organization. From a strategic perspective, small pilots or proof-of-concept projects can be instrumental in proving the value of an AI use case. Once the value is established, scaling it across the organization becomes a straightforward process.

Financial departments are particularly ripe for AI adoption, given their reliance on spreadsheets and forecasting budgeting. By utilizing machine learning technologies, organizations can automate data movement, structure data, and apply machine learning algorithms to improve forecasting solutions. This not only streamlines processes but also provides valuable insights from a data perspective.

One notable example of AI in action is the implementation of virtual agents. Many organizations are struggling with manual document management, which can be a time-consuming process. By digitizing documents and creating user-friendly environments, such as chatbots, organizations can condense vast amounts of information into easily accessible nuggets. This not only improves efficiency but also opens up knowledge across the organization, making it easily accessible on mobile devices, tablets, laptops, or desktops.

The Microsoft sphere is a common ground for many AI projects, and our team has observed the significant impact of virtual agents in Dubai-based companies. One client, with over 200,000 documents to manage, was able to streamline their document management process using chatbots. This not only improved efficiency but also provided easy access to valuable information stored within those documents.

In conclusion, aligning AI with your enterprise strategy is crucial for unlocking its potential and driving value. By prioritizing business objectives, understanding the importance of ethics, biases, and governance, and identifying suitable use cases, organizations can harness the power of AI to streamline processes, improve forecasting solutions, and enhance knowledge management. As AI continues to evolve, it's essential to stay ahead of the curve and adapt strategies to maximize its benefits.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enwhy is it important to align AI with your enterpris strategy I think in this day and age AI cannot be overlooked lots of organizations potentially at the moment don't know how to utilize it or how to leverage it and implement it into their organizations but I think it's now going to start playing a Cornerstone just alongside data as data literacy and and becoming a data driven organization has now become the Cornerstone for for the large majority of organizations out there I think this is going to be the logical next step in terms of how we can capitalize it on it sorry and how we can do this um and still keep an eye on ethics and biases that can creep in and and governance as well so I definitely think this is going to be the next logical step for for for most organizations can I agree more here and then you know a big part of the AI hype cycle that we see today is that a lot of organizations tend to be you know prioritizing use cases that don't necessarily make a lot of sense but they just want to experiment with AI uh maybe how can you make sure that you're building AI use cases that line with the business strategy and are actually driving value especially in such a nent field today in our approach what we tend to do is try to align to business objectives now the overarching business objectives for an organization could be something like I don't know growing net profit by 5% uh becoming more efficient changing the go to market etc etc Now by looking at projects and use cases that align with the direction that the business is is going in um from a strategic perspective you can then start to drive value small small Pilots or proof of Concepts um as projects can be absolutely fundamental in really trying to prove out a the use case be the value and then once you've actually achieved that then obviously scaling that across the organization okay that's great and maybe can you paint some examples of you know some useful applications that you've seen that kind of f fit that criteria uh from companies you've worked with or companies you've observed absolutely so I mean from a financial perspective um we all know that Financial departments are with with spreadsheets um forecasting budgeting is is absolutely um a timec consuming process and very difficult to get right now by utilizing machine learning Technologies for example a branch of artificial intelligence we can start to look at forecasting solutions for organizations really understanding where they are from from their data perspective maybe like I said moving along from this very spreadsheet driven kind of process to then looking at okay how can we structure this data to begin with automation of of the data movement so we would either call this ETL or El uh the pipelines to orchestrate that into a governed environment that can then be utilized for potentially some of these uh machine learning algorithms to look at forecasting um as a specific UK use case there outside of that I mean we tend to work predominantly in in the Microsoft sphere now what we're what we're understanding is that there's a big use case for um virtual agents now lots of organizations are very p driven as well so I can site one of our clients uh based out in Dubai currently and they have over 200,000 documents that they use for their field team now trying to get through and sift through all of this information which is Rich for the organization it holds years and years um of experiences learnings and training material as well being able to condense that digitize it and then presting that back in a in in a userfriendly environment usually a chat bot that could be interacted in and pick out the nuggets information from those documentation uh again has become a massively efficient process and also it opens up that knowledge across the organization in in the palm of your hand whether it's a mobile device tablet device laptop desktop Etcwhy is it
