**A Day of Racing Dreams: A Journey Through Lotus Track Experience**

### Introduction
hello one a no welcome to seen through glass today here's the day I've been waiting for for way too long I am ridiculous cars as you can probably work out from the cars behind me which will be moving on to very shortly so I think like a lot of people who are into cars I used to do karting when I was like 12 or 13 I very nearly went pro except I wasn't very good but obviously I always dreamed as a young boy of being a racing driver a Formula One driver something like that but I never thought the opportunity would ever come around after I initially you know gave up on my dreams being such a young child but today those dreams are actually becoming a bit of a reality so let me explain what's gonna happen because there's gonna be a long intro just stick with me we are our Lotus cars doing their Lotus track day driving experience so it's something that you can all come and do they do it for corporate days members of the public etc but we are here training and practicing because tomorrow we are going to be taking our MSA ARDS national be racing driver licence so it's like your entry level racing driver license which means you can start to compete in racing series I think internationally but I basically have no clue what I'm doing so today it's all about training and when I say we it is me pour water swim swim cause London and James from mr. JW we are doing it together it is a team a group effort because if I did it by myself I'd put it just cry in a corner from the amount of times I spun out but I am stupidly excited just to be here and be about to go on a race track for the day when it is beautiful sunshine like this so there's so much plan

### Arrival at the Track
I think we're going to skid pan first and I think we're just doing some basic training on track and then eventually we're going to be jumping in that ridiculous Cup car for an afternoon of track driving can this day get any better ah look at this joker so poor Wallace that's his new camera setup does it look familiar to anyone huh maybe DSLR microphone little little stand hmm wonder why he got that idea from okay we've arrived on the track as you can see helmets are on so our first experience it's gonna be this a skewed Japan Paul he's gone very quiet he says that he is in the concentration zone good luck with that but yeah it's gonna be as much about me actually learning what to do and having a good time as well as trying to capture it all for you guys on youtube so whiskers feel like the day goes hopefully there'll be a good video out of it but I'm just like to get going basically

### Skid Pan Training
okay I'm first up in the driver seat we've been joined by Martin who is our instructor for the day very bravely and we're on the skid pan so the first thing we're doing is understeer and oversteer right yes so just a little little guidance Gerry very much for picking this yeah that's really good Simone no perfect yeah great thank you so much for that there is just good the senator describes the pick up speed dancing they will start to feel unappreciated yes we don't courage that chocolates just let you know that when you defeat a start to go do that weight would do start to fly that over the lock when you're just getting into the schedule sure you don't do that then just will get right okay so it's a final entry touching that sure the conditions yeah good a little bit of black ice in conference okay

### Reflections After Skid Pan
I am back in the comfort and safety of the clubhouse it's very warm in here and there's less wind I'm a bit anyway one awesome morning so far now that we've done the skid pan which I kind of failed at miserably and probably need more practice on we're gonna be taking the lease on to the actual racetrack so Lotus have their own test track facility here but what we're gonna do is we're gonna sit with Martin and learn all the things about turning points braking apex is all of that kind of stuff which I know kind of well from my time on the Forman one game on the PlayStation 4 I'm brilliant real-life know nothing about so we're gonna be doing that concentrating as I say on you know being in a car on track before we then jump into the big v6x each cup our new mega track weapon that loads have got here which I am so excited about

### Preparing for the Track
I'm not sure how much I'm gonna fill in the Elise because I kind of want to be concentrating on what I'm doing and not driving into barriers but I've got the guys to film some bits outside but I'm mainly gonna come straight on the driver job but I will switch the focus to the X's when we jump into that anyway by myself and drive some cars wish me luck we are currently testing the 2+2 capabilities of the Lotus Evora 400 and it is fantastically comfortable how you doing back there Paul well my neck ready for the drive to Monaco see you later meanwhile James is just setting up his see many 80 baby third camera cameras for all of you guys you're like pulling and if James what's got into us the problem so James is going to be the first man to take on the Exige he looks lovely warranty card annoyingly calm cool looks

### The_reason_for_the_Visit
so in all the excitement I kind of forgot to mention that this car was really the reason that we were down at Lotus today I mean apart from the fact that we would be driving ahead of our odds test it is a car that hopefully this year we're gonna spend a lot more time in whether it be on track days or racing and we were just stupidly excited to find the jump in I think James was especially excited as you can see her as you can see we are now in the Exige I've got Paul in the car with me and it is the end of the day so I gotta say I saw you admit guys because I am concentrating far too hard is anyone there let me get that mirror okay let's go yeah

### Apologies and Filming Challenges
I have to apologize because we have been learning so much like experiment on track in a racing car that I just simply haven't had time to film it's just not been one of those days recently but I'm gonna try now as the Sun is going to summarize the emotions and experience like with these cars and with driving on track it's basically another concentration well I know that once we start doing this more regularly it is going to be so addictive and excited one that really established today is that I'm a massive I am scared of everything in life and especially fellas to be honest supplies changing your sound so you push the limits right impossible it's why what to do once you do so to do it and get the rewards fair now my god are you doing pool it's interesting being a passenger for the first time today say a nice one is sunrise if you guys show you some clips inside the car there is gonna be so much more coming this year I can promise that to do with Lotus to do with drag days

I'm not worried that you guys are gonna be sure like though I couldn't get away with dirty the whole day and shut your and that is it the X feed is getting loaded up onto the truck ready for tomorrow when we are going to be doing a bit of practicing in the morning so half a track day before the odds test I think in the artist you have to take in like the MSAs kind of persia' something I did find out more about that but what a ridiculously ridiculously cool day down here at Lotus the experience has been insane obviously out early this morning in the Elise Elise won the skid pan and then severe learning the basics of track driving was so interesting because as I say I mean the last stuff I did on Chad was go-karting when I was 12 years old thinking that I was the next Michael Schumacher I just wasn't I'm so it was really helpful to get in the car with Martin he was just the world's biggest lad and learned all this things before jumping into the big exceed roots are gonna be driving a lot more of tomorrow
