**A Comprehensive Comparison of the iPhone X vs. iPhone XS and XS Max**
The new iPhones have finally arrived, and it's time to put them through their paces. In this video, we'll be comparing the iPhone X with its newer counterparts, the iPhone XS and XS Max. We'll dive into the details of each device, exploring its features, performance, and camera capabilities.
**Portraits Mode: A Key Feature for Front-Facing Cameras**
One feature that has been a major focus for Apple in recent years is portraits mode, which uses advanced software to create a bokeh effect in front-facing camera photos. Unfortunately, our experience with the iPhone X's front-facing camera hasn't always been great, but we're excited to see if this has improved on the new iPhones. With the new portrait mode, you'll be able to play around with the blur after taking the picture, giving you more creative control over your images.
**Camera Comparison: iPhone X vs. iPhone XS and XS Max**
We've also got a comparison of the camera capabilities between the iPhone X and the new iPhones. The iPhone X has up to 30 frames per second video recording from its front-facing camera, while the new iPhones can record at up to 60 frames per second. Additionally, FaceID has been improved on the new iPhones, with Apple claiming it's now the most secure facial recognition system out there. While the iPhone X does have stereo speakers that sound pretty good, the new iPhones boast wider speakers that should provide better sound quality.
**No Headphone Jack: What Does This Mean for You?**
One of the notable changes between the iPhone X and the new iPhones is the lack of a 3.5 millimeter headphone jack. Apple no longer includes a headphone adapter in the box, so if you have some 3.5mm headphones, you may need to buy an adapter. This is likely due to Apple's shift towards wireless headphones, but it's still a bit frustrating for those who prefer wired audio.
**Dual SIM Support: A Game-Changer for Travelers**
A feature that has been introduced this year with the new iPhones is dual SIM support. This means you can have one nano-SIM and one eSIM active at the same time, which could be a game-changer for travelers. Whether you want to use two numbers for work and personal use or need to switch between different plans, this feature should make it easier.
**Battery Life: A New Era of Long-Lasting Devices**
One of the biggest questions surrounding the new iPhones is battery life. Apple claims that users should get up to 30 minutes more usage on the iPhone XS compared to the iPhone X, while the XS Max could last for over an hour and a half with its bigger battery. However, it's unclear what exactly this means in terms of real-world usage.
**Pricing: A Steep Upgrade**
The pricing of the new iPhones is certainly steep, especially when compared to the iPhone X. The 512 gigabyte storage version of the iPhone XS will set you back a bit more than the base model, while the XS Max comes with an additional $100 price tag. However, if you're looking for a larger display and better battery life, the upgrade may be worth it.
**Is Upgrading Worth It?**
So, is upgrading from the iPhone X to the XS or XS Max worth it? In our opinion, it depends on your needs. If you want a larger display and better performance, then going for the new iPhones might be a good option. However, if you're happy with your current device and don't need the latest features, it's probably not worth the upgrade. The iPhone 11 could also be an attractive alternative.
**What Do You Think?**
Ultimately, the decision to upgrade depends on your individual needs and preferences. We'd love to hear from you – what do you think about the new iPhones? Should you upgrade or stick with the iPhone X? Let us know in the comments below!
"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: en- Is it worth upgrading from the iPhone Xto the XS or XS Max?And what are the key differences? What's up, guys, Saf on SuperSaf TVand that's what we're going totry to answer in this video.I think the first and mostimportant thing to rememberis that the iPhone XS isonly an incremental updateto the iPhone X and that'sindicated in the name. That's why it's not theiPhone 11, it is the S series. So, especially when it comesto the size, look, and design, things are pretty much the same. We've got the exact same dimensionson the iPhone XS as the X.Of course, the XS Max is much biggerbeing the Max device andthe Max is a similar sizeto something like iPhone7 Plus or iPhone 8 Plusbut of course with a much bigger display. The iPhone X, XS, and Max allhave a stainless steel framewith glass panels on the front and backso they have an identical designand realistically speaking,if you have the XS in hand, you wouldn't be able totell it apart from the Xunless you went for the new gold color. We have silver and space gray for the Xand the XS and Max also have these colorsbut they do have the new gold color. The glass however isstronger on the new iPhones.Apple have said that it'sthe most durable glasson any smartphone. They have not specified how or why this isbut they have said it is very durable. And the new iPhones also haveIP68 water and dust resistance. The iPhone X has IP67.This basically means thatyou'll be able to submergethe new iPhones up totwo meters underwaterfor 30 minutes whereas the iPhone X,you can only do up toone meter for 30 minutes. Now, the displays of the Xand XS are also very similar.5.8 inches, we've gotsmall bezels with a notch, and they have all the technologies.Super retina displays with avery high resolution, 458 PPI.The biggest differenceon the newer iPhonesis that they have 60%greater dynamic rangecompared to the iPhone X so especiallywhen it comes to viewing HDR movies, you are going to begetting a better experienceon the newer iPhones. The XS Max of course has amassive 6.5-inch display. We also have more pixels on the XS Max,however, the PPI pixeldensity, is exactly the sameas the other model. So, overall althoughyou might not be able tonotice a difference right awayon the new iPhone displays, they are slightly bettercompared to last year. Now, you'll really be ableto notice the difference iswhen we look at the internalsand that firstly comes inthe way of the processor. We have the Apple A12 bionicchip in the new iPhonesversus the Apple A11 chip on the iPhone X.Now, Apple is sayingthat we're going to haveup to 50% faster performance,up to 50% faster graphics,as well as up to 50%lower power consumption. All thanks to the brand-new A12 chip. Now, the Apple A11 chipis already very, very fastand really holds its own even this yearagainst many of the competition. The A12 is just going to improve on that. However, we are going to begetting iOS 12 on both devices. This is something thatApple is really good at,updating their devices. However, iOS 12 is going tobe running more smoothly.App launch times will be quickerand gaming will be smootheron the newer iPhonescompared to the iPhone X.Now let's move onto the cameras. At first glance looking atjust the specs on paper, things might seem exactly the same. With the dual 12-megapixel cameras, both with optical stabilization, the primary with an F1.8 apertureand the secondary telephoto camerawhich is going to giveyou two times optical zoomwith an F2.4 aperture. However, the new iPhonesdo have a larger sensor. This is going to meanbetter low light imagesbut that accompanied with the new ISP,image signal processor on the A12,is going to mean lots of improvements. We've got smart HDRso we've got improveddynamic range on imageson the new iPhones. We've also got portraitmode but with a twist. You are going to be able toedit the blur after the facton the portrait modeshots on the new iPhones. This is something thatyou won't be able to doon the portrait mode of the iPhone X.There's also an improved True Tone flash. We've got further improvementswhen it comes to videoalthough all devices can film atup to 4K 60 frames a second. With 1080p at up to 240 framesa second for slow motion,we now have steadierrecording on the new iPhones. This is something that I'vebeen banging on about for ages. We've got mono audiorecording on the iPhone X.So, the stereo audio recordingis going to sound much, muchbetter on the new iPhones. We've also got extended dynamic rangeout of the 30 frames persecond on the new iPhonesso you'll be getting better dynamic rangefor video as well on the new iPhones. Now, looking at the front-facing cameras.Once again, initiallylooking at just the specs,it would seem that they are the same. We've got seven megapixelswith an F2.2 aperture. But you do have a faster sensorfor the front-facing cameraon the new iPhones and we'vegot some of the featuresthat we've got the rear-facing cameralike smart HDR as wellas the portrait modewith depth controls soalthough the iPhone Xdoes have a portrait modefor the front-facing camera, which in my experience, hasn't worked too great, this should now beimproved on the new iPhonesand you'll also be able toplay around with the blurafter you've taken the picture.I'm really excited to test this out.And if you do want me to doa SuperSaf style camera comparisonbetween the iPhone Xand the iPhone XS or Maxto really see how manydifferences we have, then definitely let meknow in the comments belowand I'll try to do oneas soon as we've got the retail versionsof the XS and XS Max in hand. We've also got 1080p videoat up to 60 frames a secondfrom the front-facingcamera of the new iPhones. The iPhone X has up to 30 frames a second. Now FaceID has also beenimproved on the new iPhones. It should be faster and more secure.Apple is saying that is themost secure facial recognitionsystem out there right now.And although the iPhone Xdoes have stereo speakerswhich do sound pretty good,we've got wider stereospeakers on the new iPhones. They should be sounding better. However, we do not have a3.5 millimeter headphone jackon any of these. And what's interestingis that you'll no longergoing to get a dongle out ofthe box for the new iPhones. This is the 3.5mm to Lightning dongleso if you do have some 3.5mm headphones, you may need to buy an adapterif you don't already have oneand you're going for the newer iPhones. The new iPhones alsohave dual SIM support. You could have one nano-SIM with one eSIM.This is something that wedon't have on the iPhone X.It's just something introducedthis year with Apple. This will be really usefulif you're somebody who travels a lotand you want two numbersactive at the same time.Maybe you have one number for work, one number for your personal. You can have them bothactive on the new iPhones. Now moving onto the batteries,we're not sure of theexact size of the batteriesof the new iPhones.Apple doesn't actually specify this,we're going to have to waittill somebody actuallypops them open physicallyto have a look insidebut Apple has said you should get up to30 minutes more usage on the iPhone XScompared to the iPhone X.And when it comes to the XS Max,Apple had included the biggest batteryon any iPhone beforeand that should give youup to one hour and 30 minutes morecompared to the iPhone X.Now, what that usage exactly means isa bit of a question mark and of courseusage varies from person to personbut the newer iPhones shouldbe giving you more battery lifecompared to the iPhone X.Now, let's look at the price. The iPhone XS is comingin at the same pricethat the iPhone X came in at last yearalthough you do have anadditional storage version. You do have a 512 gigabyte versionwhich is of course comingin at a higher price. The iPhone XS Max comesin at a hundred dollarsor a hundred pounds more for each modelcompared to the iPhoneXS and that is the pricethat you're going to bepaying for that larger screenand that larger battery. So, there you have it guys. That is the comparison of the iPhone Xversus the iPhone XS and XS Max.To answer the questionearlier in this video, how many differences do we have?Well, between the iPhone X and XS,there are definitely improvements, particularly on the inside. But should you upgrade fromthe iPhone X to the XS,in my opinion, it's probablynot worth the upgrade. The iPhone X is still agreat all-around phone. It is going to be gettingthe latest software updatesand it should last youat least another year. And the iPhone 11 mightbe the better optionfor you to go for. However, if you do want a larger display,if you're somebody wholikes a larger phonewith a bigger battery, thengoing from the iPhone Xto the iPhone XS Max mightbe a good option for you.And of course, if you are an enthusiastwho just wants the latest stuff, then I'm sure you'll be goingfor the new iPhones anyway. That's what I think, what do you guys think?Definitely drop me a comment belowand let me know your thoughts.I hope you enjoyed thisvideo and found it useful. If you did, then do hit thatthumbs up button for me.And if you haven't
