iOS 10.3.1_10.3.2 Jailbreak Update - Apple Kills iOS 10.3.1 - What Does it Mean _ JBU 36

**Jailbreak and iOS Updates: A Complex Scenario**

When it comes to jailbreaking an iPhone, users have been waiting anxiously for a new exploit that would allow them to downgrade or update their firmware. However, with iOS 10.3.1 no longer being signed, some users may be wondering if this means that the jailbreak is imminent. The answer, however, is not as straightforward as it seems.

**The Importance of the Signing Window**

In the past, the signing window for a new iOS version was seen as an indicator for when a jailbreak would be released. However, with the Penghu team not being the only one working on a jailbreak, the significance of this window has diminished. The Atom from the Imperium team is expected to release a public exploit for 10.3.1 sometime in the next couple of months, which adds another layer of complexity to the situation.

**Other Potential Exploits**

In addition to the Penghu team's efforts, there is also the Keen lab, who showcased their 10.3.2 jailbreak at most likely 2017. When Adam releases his 10.3.1 bug, it could potentially turn into a jailbreak. The Keen lab's plans are still unclear, which adds to the uncertainty surrounding the situation.

**Apple Patching and the Signing Window**

While the signing window is no longer a reliable indicator of when a jailbreak will be released, Apple patching bugs related to jailbreaking is a more significant factor in determining the timeline. If Apple patches certain exploits used in 10.3.1, it's likely that whoever releases the jailbreak will do so once they find out about these patches.

**The Impact on 32-bit Devices**

With iOS 11 beta three and public beta two expected to be released soon, some users are concerned about the implications for 32-bit devices like the iPhone 5 and 5C. If 10.3.3 is indeed the last iOS version released for these devices, it raises questions about potential vulnerabilities that could lead to a permanent jailbreak.

**Conclusion**

In conclusion, while the signing window is no longer a reliable indicator of when a jailbreak will be released, Apple's patching of bugs related to jailbreaking is a more significant factor in determining the timeline. The Atom from the Imperium team and other potential exploits add complexity to the situation, making it difficult to predict exactly when a jailbreak will be available.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enwhat's up guys my name is Brad and I'm welcome back to the 36 jailbreak update video and today we're going to be talking about the killing of iOS 10 point 3.1 and what it means for the jailbreak iOS 11 and more this is going to be one of these shorter episodes in this series because it really hasn't been much that went on in the past week but I really wanted to get this information about ten point three point one out to you guys and of course before we get started if you have not watched the previous two episodes you need to go back and watch those where I talked about the iOS ten point three point two and the iOS 11 jailbreak that were demoed at most like last week so make sure you check the cards and the description right now to go back and watch those before you watch this video alright so first off yes Apple finally killed iOS 10 point 3.1 yesterday evening after 43 days of it being signed after ten point three point two drops now 43 days is so much longer than anyone expected with ten point three point one because if you look at my research here on the chart I put together a difficult signing window time in between iOS versions is around seven to fourteen days and actually as you could see the last time we had a sliding window open for more than forty days was iOS 10.1 but that's actually the only other time since iOS 9.0 back in 2015 that that's happened now if you want to see the full chart and more of an explanation about these signing windows and how I get these numbers and things like that you can check the link down in the description below it's easily laid out for you to see so now the iOS ten point three point one is no longer being signed by Apple what exactly does that mean now I have a lot of new viewers you know a lot of new people into the iOS jailbreaking scene and they may not understand or know much about the iOS signing window so basically when assigning window closes that means two things number one you can no longer update or downgrade to that version which is ten point three point one in this case you can no longer update or downgrade to ten point three point one in iTunes and you also can't save your iOS ten point three point one sh-sh two blobs because of course the version has to be signed for you to be able to save valid blobs so I'm assuming most of you guys are on ten point three point water saved your blobs for ten point three point one because I've been preaching it to you guys for the past couple months you know I was urging you to get on there as soon as possible at least save blobs for there as soon as possible if your jailbroken right now so I really hope you guys did do that so I get this question all the time so I wanted to answer it I answer it all the time on Twitter and live streams even in some videos but I want to make it clear once again you can downgrade using your HSH two blocks if you are jailbroken however I would advise you not to do so yet Peter restore aka prometheus is still not as stable as it should be and of course I'm going to be making a video when I feel like it is to show you how to use your blobs to downgrade or update to an unsigned firmware but again you do need to be jailbroken for it to work so now what does iOS 10 point 3.1 no longer being signed mean for the jailbreak and the answer is not really too much so just because a version of iOS is no longer being son does not mean that a jailbreak is imminent it does not mean that the jailbreak is coming in fact 10 you actually wants the signing window to be open because they want as many people as possible to get on the jailbreak which obviously is not ideal if the signing window is closed but of course if you guys have been following the past few episodes on the channel here you would note that the Penghu team is not the only team that we're relying on to get a jailbreak so what that means is that the signing window is less of an indicator you know to predict a feature jailbreak then it has been in the past and other people I'm talking about aside from the Penghu team regarding the ten point three point X jailbreak our atom from the imperium team who is going to be releasing a public exploit for ten point three point one sometime in the next couple months and then we also have the Keen lab who showed their ten point three point two jailbreak at most like 2017 now when Adam releases his ten point three point one bug that very well could turn into a jailbreak and then the Keene lab we really just don't know what they're going to do yet so yes the signing window does matter of course for being able to update and downgrade to a version like ten point three point one which has been proven to be jail breakable and also for saving blobs for however it's not the best indicator as to when a jailbreak is coming you can't really predict when a jailbreak coming just based on windy signing window closes I'd say the Apple patching the bugs from a jailbreak or potential jailbreak or exploit matter a lot more and is more of an indicator than the signing window so let's just say that Apple patches certain exploits that were used to create the ten point three point one jailbreak in a version like ten point three point three then whoever is going to release the Joe brick will likely do it once they found out that Apple patched their bugs in a later version of iOS like ten point three point three and assuming that most of the bugs and exploits in ten points dew point X are going to be patched or just not function properly in iOS 11 it's gonna be really interesting to see what happens when the final version of ten point three point three drops because then all the sudden you have a lot of bugs the next words that are no longer relevant at all because they're not going to work you know in iOS 11 and later versions so yeah it can be really interesting to follow what happens after the final release up ten point three point three which should be very soon and speaking of Iowa's ten point three point three Apple released the fifth beta earlier today and of course all it does is take some security bugs on the back end that we cannot see so I would expect the final version up to ten point three point three to be dropping either next week or the following week of course when that does get released I would not update to it I would stay on ten point three point one or ten point three point two at the very highest if you're not on ten point three point one now some people have been asking why are they really seeing so many bit is for ten point three point three and a big reason is because ten point three point three it could very well be the last I Oh s released for 32-bit devices like the iPhone five and 5c and Apple want to make sure there are no vulnerabilities in iOS ten point three point three that would lead to a permanent jailbreak for the iPhone five and five C as for iOS 11 beta three and public beta two we could probably expect those either next week or the following week as well we really just don't know it's really too hard to predict these days what Apple is going to do but anyways guys that's all I have for this video like I mentioned it is a shorter episode and really not too much to talk about since I did make a jailbreak update video last week with a ton of information nothing has really come out since then so this is the best I could do because like I said I really want to let you guys know that ten point different was no longer being signed but anyways guys if you enjoy this video make sure you give it a thumbs up also make sure to subscribe because I do these your break update videos all the time so thank you for watching guys and I'll see you soonwhat's up guys my name
