they want all the power here we have it and this is this is a tiny box you guys it feels like a perfume box or something it's so small several of my friends have already texted me about the mini asking me about it yeah they're really interested well let's pop this thing open now i saw some comments like why do tech nerds have this crazy thing with the sound it's just satisfying guys all right and i can't get over how tiny this box is wow oh it's mini all right that's crazy look how it fits in my hand you guys i wouldn't hold it here try it out oh oh that's nice tiny right yeah it's kind of perfect though so what's interesting about the 12 mini is that its body is smaller than the iphone se but of course the screen is much larger so you get a nice smaller phone but a bigger display so that's nuts it's a higher quality display as well yes so these both well the entire iphone 12 line features apple's super retina xdr displays oled displays they look great so we're just gonna put this here for a second and see what else we get in the box we got our cable and our booklets i guess and your sim ejector sticker boom that's it these iphone unboxings are a lot faster these days we've talked about this enough right no power break that's not here but you do get your power cable you also don't get the headphones now how many people still use the headphones i'm curious ever but if you're one of those people let me know with a comment down below i'm curious how many people actually did apple could have shaved off 50 dollars i'm like 50 though no power brick and no headphones power bricks 20 bucks okay headphones it's i would i'd believe like the 20 range all right so shave off 40 dollars come on the thing is six six ninety nine all right jeez he's not the average consumer guy don't give me the camera all right say what you will i don't think apple would ever bring down the price of the phone i just think they maybe should have kept it in the box at least for this year but let's take off this little paper cover up front it's so small that's crazy now for those of you who didn't know this is exactly like the iphone 12 but just with a smaller footprint so this is the white version so we have the aluminum sides and the glass all glass back and actually i think this one is probably the best to handle fingerprints because against the white you're not gonna really see it like that but yes this phone there is no compromise in terms of power specs it's exactly like the iphone 12 just smaller for 100 bucks less nice right and this is the same size as we always get volume controls we have our mute switch lightning port at the bottom power button over here and your 5g antenna right there and of course you got your two cameras in the back you got your wide and ultra wide so i just want to power this thing on it's crazy that this thing is smaller than an iphone se you know what let's just pull one out all right so here we have the iphone se or is this the iphone 8 whatever either way it's probably just like a slight color difference it's the same body overall though but lookie here guys you can see for yourself just how much smaller this is so to have a phone that's smaller in footprint but that screen difference you see that right yeah it's kind of nuts so what i'm going to do is i'm going to go ahead get this thing all set up let's unbox some of the other stuff so next up we've got this guy over here the iphone 12 pro max now this is the gold version not the pacific blue but who about to complain but let's open it up regardless ahri has the gold version of the 12 pro it is gorgeous it is a good looking phone you've been waiting for the max oh yeah we've been waiting box looks kind of good you see that those shimmers oh bessie that's a big boy that boy's thick wow wow this is crazy besides though guys this feels solid yo no light it feels like a gold brick right here it feels like a gold i already feel this wow i don't know i kind of like it though right i think it feels nice and sturdy carl you want to want to see what's your future my future jacket feels expensive wow this definitely does feel really solid in the hand and you can see the stainless steel so much more because it's just an overall bigger phone now you'll notice something different here in the back you know with the pro models you get this uh matte texture this matte like texture in the back so you won't get fingerprints somehow though one of you managed to get some fingerprints on this one i was just eating french fries so oh come on so overall it's the same as every other phone box is the same you know i actually just want to see how big this screen is because this thing has a 6.7 inch display this is the biggest display apple has made yet actually let me pull out my uh my old 11 pro max what's that case is this it's a clerk case you're a hater ugly wow so it is just ever so slightly taller than the old one yeah it is just a bigger phone overall so 6.7 inches up from 6.5 and i didn't think i don't think i mentioned the size of this uh but this is a 5.4 inch display very very oh i didn't even think to compare them well oh my god wow you her crush now a bigger overall body is not all that the iphone 12 pro max brings to the table so on the pro models you know you have a triple camera system you have your wide ultra wide and telephoto lens and this year the pro max actually has some benefits over the normal pro so with the wide angle lens we are actually going to have a bigger sensor it's 47 larger and we have a wider aperture so you're going to be able to get more light in when you're taking photos and you're able to get up to 82 brighter photos 82 guys now that is something i am very interested in testing out because going out taking shots at night heck even in this man cave i don't always have the best lighting so having a camera on my phone that just does better in low light is something i'm really really excited for but also on the 12 pro max we're seeing a change with a telephoto lens we now have a 65 millimeter telephoto lens and what that basically gives us is a five times optical range for from the ultra wide all the way to the telephoto so you can get tighter shots listen i don't want to get too technical uh but we're seeing a lot of improvements here on these cameras and we're going to test them out in the real day in the life of course but man oh baby this is a big display now what i'm really interested in testing out here is the battery life because you can't have a phone this big and not have awesome battery life what are you anticipating like what would you want what's acceptable i get great battery life from my 11 pro max like around six o'clock i want to be in that 25 to 20 range screen on time screen on time yeah the screen on time i'm hoping to hit that seven hour mark seven okay yeah okay yeah that's what i want to see but of course the real day in the life is coming i'm going to have separate videos for both of these if you didn't see my 12th pro real day in the life i'll have it linked down below but we got to do a mini and we got to do a pro max but we got some other stuff inside of the box so let's check those out all right oh yes me personally i'm a huge fan of apple's leather cases both their silicone and leather cases those are my preference when i'm picking a case for my iphone this thing is beautiful so it was interesting enough that these cases were not released with the iphone 12 and 12 pro but we will be able to order them once the 12 pro max and mini go on sale this is nice i love this color but you'll also notice that it has the circle in the middle and that is of course for apple's new system the magsafe system where apple has magnets within these new iphone 12s that work with various accessories from wireless chargers to cases and even more things coming down the line with third parties so let's throw this guy in here and you can see the animation go this is not bad looking man this is cool look at you can just see the trim of the gold right inside of here and you might not be able to see it but the iphone case is raised so if you lay this thing down face first the screen is not touching the table now this isn't the only thing apple sent over we also have the iphone 12 mini sleeve now this is another magsafe case or sleeve rather and we've never seen something like this from apple so i'm actually interested all right so this is it interesting so we have a little bump here for the camera system all right let's throw our mini inside of here dope so you can see the color matches the case and it tells you the time and you should be able to see a bunch of information like if someone's calling you or something like that you just can't use your camera while it's in the sleeve right no because yeah everything is covered up now i don't think this is the only thing inside of this box because i saw something on the back here it looks like there's supposed to be a loop oh there is a loop so this is quite the little fashion accessory huh and then you clasp it very simple and boom ahri would you rock this actually what i was thinking that in my head like i'm not mad at that right so you don't if you're one of the crazy folks out there who don't want to use a case you're crazy but there is an option for you to go ahead pull your phone out put it inside of here to protect it when you're not using it and you still get access to like you know your time and stuff i could even see like throwing
