A Master Bathroom Transformation: From Dated to Dreamy

But as the homeowner, Valentina, so aptly put it, "It just needed a refresh in this space." And boy, did they ever deliver.

The old standard for vanities in the Atlanta area was far too low for Valentina's taste, so she opted for something that would make her feel like a queen. And what a great choice it turned out to be! So let me show you first what we didWe ripped out the old vanity ripped down the old mirror and put up insteadThankfully a vanity that is higher. So the old one was so blow. It just seems to be the standard for the Atlanta areaThat's what everybody put ineven for me being sure it was really low so nice and high andWe put in these beautiful round mirrorsI just love these mirrors and the bubble glass on these fixtures. It makes it feel a little bit oldHowever, having this modern the finish on it just makes itPerfectly modern. I just tell you I had so much funaccessorizing this space one of my favorite things that just came out from that magnolias collection at Target is thisJuniper hand soap, I've got a set for myself because it smells so goodJust go and buy some I don't have the price on itBut I don't think it was hardly any money and it smells so good. You're gonna want to buy a couple bottlesI bought the house sprite - they have spray and they had roomFragrances, I'm telling you about the whole thing. I just love it. Ohand while we're herelet's just talk about the faucet for a second because a lot of times people will spend a lot of money on the tile andThe structural stuff but these finishing touches make such a big difference when you're renovating a houseIt's heavy and when you turn it onYou feel the weight of the actual faucet and the handles and everything and those little details matterEspecially on the other side of ityou should always invest as much as you can in your hardware and your faucets because you'll reallyFeel the return on that now. Oh my gosh, you've also got grain sacks from the Magnolia collectionLook out here. I thought this vase from Target as well, and I filled it with flowers from the gardenSo this is something I just went out this morning in my jammies my poor neighborsAnd gathers and clips little bits off the bushes and whatever is in bloomLike these little white ones are just off of a butterfly bookSo it's not anything crazy expensive but these are inexpensive ways to make a bathroom renovationThat is you know, heftyIt's a way to decorate it and make it awesome without having spent a lot of moneySome of the other things that we have here, of course, my bibliothèque candle is my favoriteIt's like a library and I feel like you know a bathroomClimbing it to the tub and having a good book and a candle that smells goodDoes it I think this look what it really comes down to isunderstanding that balancing that farmhouse look with the modern andThings some things are well some things are smoothSome things are round. I know it sounds a little bit elementary, but those are the things that really make this space feelall put together and a lot of times my clients will struggle with that then part like how I actuallyPull that part together and I always say go once you've got all your bigger pieceschosen bring in some texture through your linens bring in some texture through your vase andIt will be awesomeNow over here, let's walk over here. Look at this shower guysOh my goshI love but this white subway tile is so clean and modern and beautifulAnd I love the fact that you've got multipleOptions for how you want to shower and it does mean that one person can be in the showerBut you guys are starting to learn that I have affection for so nice big showerIt's got a seat that you can lounge in the shower and bathe. It's really great shaping legs and stuffSorry boysBut building in the show is another thing that I always recommendIt's always good to have a spot for your syrups and your stuff and this cherylin is something they can actually have stack with towelsIn here. Another thing that I would say is having the clear glass like thisIt makes the shower always feel biggerit makes the whole space feel bigger and I just love theStyle that it generally just the way we're putting our rooms together these bathrooms having that clear glass like thatit's I think one of the best inventions ofRecent years because it really just makes the whole space feel bigger and brighterAnd when you're in the shower, you get to enjoy the whole space. Isn't that awesome now? Let me go show you this jobIam refraining from the urge to climb in this tub because again,I have a thing for testing out other people's stuffso I don't know they may be not always they're appreciative but holy moly this modern tub is to die forI know for myselfI chose clawfoot and I debated up until the day that I heard that clawfootOver one like this because I think if that modern finish especially in a spaceThat has the ship left. It has a little bit of that farmhouse. Look when you balance that with this modern tubIt's just awesome. It just looks good. It feels good. It's beautifulI mean what else can you ask for and all the finishes here? I always recommend getting a sprayerI knew that sounds again Elementary, right but having a sprayer when you're in a tub is life-alteringI haven't showered in ages and I don't mean like a bathe, but it's because like at homeMy aspect showerhead and so you can shower your your hair and with kidsIt's really nice to be able to wash their hair. I just wouldn't go without it. It's that essential. So if you're remodeling anytime soonDefinitely get that little hand sprayer on whatever option you choose because you will be so glad that you didThis space is just balanced with the worth of the wood and just a little bit of a matterAnd it's readyBatson I'm a little bit jealous that it's not mine.
