Last Year's Experience
James Kemp, our team member, ran the GT350 last year, but it was quite a bit slower due to its weight. We needed to get comfortable with the car again after making significant changes to reduce weight and increase power. This year, we're focusing on fine-tuning the suspension, clutch, and other components to optimize performance rather than just adding more power.
The Engine and Turbo
The engine in this GT350 is a 2-liter V-series, which is quite impressive. The Hellion twin turbo kit has increased the power output to around 2000 horsepower. We've also made significant weight reductions from last year's car, which now weighs 2400 pounds compared to 2500 pounds before.
The Car's Performance
Our previous best pass was a few months ago at 704 miles per hour, with a quarter-mile time of 202 back home. However, we're hoping to beat this record and take the top spot in this year's competition. The car has a PPG force feed transmission, a B-series transmission, a bill and bell housing, and a transfer case. We've also developed special parts for the B-series transmission, which allows us to make more power.
Holding the Honda Stick Shift Record
James holds the record for the fastest Honda stick shift, with a time of 706 miles per hour. However, Red Demons recently broke this record with a 698 miles per hour pass. We're hoping to take back this record and beat it in the upcoming competition.
The Road to Sixes
We've been working towards achieving six-second passes for some time now. We need a clean pass to get there, as we've had issues in the past. This car is designed for speed, and we're confident that it can deliver on its promise.
Qualifying Round
In our qualifying round, we faced stiff competition from other teams. However, James was able to make a full pass and secure a spot in the semi-finals.
Semi-Final Round
Unfortunately, Nick Holman's S10 team cracked under pressure and had to withdraw from the competition. James will now face off against another team in the semi-final round, but we're confident that he can emerge victorious.
The Road to the Finals
With a strong performance in the semi-finals, James is now one step away from the finals. We'll be cheering him on as he takes on the best teams in the competition and aims to take home the top prize of $10,000.

with the new car instead of just trying to go nuts again yeah full Shakedown session yeah I'm excited to start putting some power into it now and you'll spend a lot of time with the chassis the whole suspension clutching all the stuff to get the ET and get efficiency out of it not just power so we kind of focus more on that side of it this year and now we're working power brand right at the tail end of this year starting to up the power how big is the turbo on the car now right now it's on an 86. so quite a bit bigger about how much power is it making with that turbo uh we're around 2000 horse range again what's the engine in here it's a two liter V series it's a two liter display as well that's nuts so you're you're how much weight last year it was 2500 pounds here last year it's 2400 right now okay but we're thinking about spraying it now maybe that'd be cool uh so what do you think it'll go our best pass previous to this was a few months ago is a 704 at the same mile an hour Parts yeah I mean we put a lot into developing the B series stuff because you can make the power but the drive change stuff didn't really exist to be able to go this far with it so we spent the last two three years with Jason's guard the four-door developing all the parts to be able to do it we're moving it out with his car you've held the Honda stick shift record for a while now right yep the 706 is currently what it is uh yeah it was 704 and then Red Demons got a 698 yep and of course six is on your mind this weekend what do you think it's gonna take to do that well we just need a clean pass we've done everything we need to do they then start like to go deep six right we've done it plenty of times in the eighth we just haven't got it all to come together clean pass so that's really what we're hoping for here this is just get a solid pass all the way down and we know this one's allowed and this is a place to do it yeah it comes together for a lot of teams here yeah we tried hard to do it earlier we got close we're like oh this is the race to the sixes and Devin got it done awesome congrats to them yep we did not get it done we tried we tried our hardest and it just did not happen for us so it would be great to do it here in front of everyone that makes it like it feels more special to do it here than at home so it's amazing we got one hell of a car here it's gonna be a pattern Honda big thing I mean trying to go sixes on 24 and a half is like our big thing like trying to do that on the smaller like you know to do that on the tire this small yeah freaking amazing just nosed over super hard it's like I think it blew charge fight as soon as i clutched in it was running fine it felt fine so I'm guessing that's what happened first Honda H bed and I think maybe the
