Build A Fast Gaming PC For Cheaper Than The PS5 Pro!

**A Look at the 3D Mark Steel Nomad Gaming PC**

I recently had the opportunity to test out the 3D Mark Steel Nomad gaming PC, and I was pleasantly surprised by its performance. Running Time Spy, which is essentially a stress test for the system, we saw an average score of 14,657. This is actually higher than I expected, especially considering that this PC comes with a 5600x processor. Overall, it's clear that this system has some serious gaming chops.

**PlayStation Exclusives on PC**

The first three games we decided to take a look at were PlayStation exclusives, and all of them are now available for PC. This is great news for gamers who want to play these titles without having to purchase a console. However, it's worth noting that not all PS exclusives will be available on PC. But with the recent release of games like God of War, which was a surprise to me, we can expect more and more PS exclusives to make their way over to PC in the future.

**Cyberpunk 2077 Performance**

Next up was Cyberpunk 2077 at 1440p Ultra with FSR set to Quality. When we took it to ultra that Auto automatically takes FSR to Quality, which meant that we could pretty much disable it because our system is capable of running this game smoothly even without it. We saw averages in the high 80s with this game, and I was impressed by its performance.

**Starfield Performance**

We then moved on to Starfield at 1440p Ultra, and if you want to run this game at ultra on the 7700 XT, lots of FSR or you can just use frame gen. In this case, we were able to see averages over 100 FPS with frame gen completely off. However, when we used FSR or frame gen, our performance was significantly improved.

**Forza Horizon 5 Performance**

Next up was Forza Horizon 5 at 1440p Extreme. This game is an arcade-style racing game that is known for its high-performance capabilities, and it did not disappoint. With the extreme settings maxed out, we were getting over 120 FPS on average, which is impressive.

**Red Dead 2 Performance**

Finally, we took a look at Red Dead 2 at 1440p Ultra with FSR set to Balanced. This game looks absolutely stunning once you max it out, even at 1080p Ultra. The performance was smooth and consistent throughout, making it one of the best-looking games out there.

**Comparison to PS5 Pro**

One thing that's interesting is the potential for this PC to compare to the PS5 Pro. I know for a lot of people out there, it's just easier to go ahead and turn their console on and play, but if you're already invested into PC gaming, then building an inexpensive PC like this one could be a great option. We'll definitely be doing a comparison test in the future to see how this system stacks up against the PS5 Pro.

**Conclusion**

Overall, I'm really impressed with the performance of this 3D Mark Steel Nomad gaming PC. With its powerful hardware and efficient cooling system, it's able to run some of the most demanding games at high resolutions and frame rates. If you're in the market for a new gaming PC and are looking for something that can handle all sorts of games smoothly, then this is definitely worth considering.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enwhen the new PS5 Pro was announced I got really excited until they showed the price coming in at $6.99 you can build a PC like this that'll play any AAA game for less than the cost of a PS5 Pro what's going on everybody it's ETA Prime back here again today we're going to be putting together a powerful AMD based gaming PC that costs less than the new PS5 Pro in fact with what I have here it actually came in $60 cheaper than the pr is going to cost when it's released and I did kind of want to match up some of these parts as close as possible right now we're not exactly sure what GPU is being used over there now they did state that it's 25% faster than the PS5 so what we've got here at least on paper is faster than that and I did want to keep the price on this way down I'm going to talk about all the parts here I've actually got a lot to go over but before we get into it I do want to mention that this video is sponsored by Ur CD Keys I've been using this site for quite some time now they offer steam Keys Uplay Ubisoft but the main thing I pick up over here are windows 11 Pro keys and right now if you use code ETA you can get 25% off so at checkout we'll just enter the code ETA that's going to bring the price on down to $21.86 for a full windows 11 Pro key they're going to email you that key and then you can activate Windows speaking of that let's head over to a new pc that I recently built as you can see we're running Windows 11 and from settings we're going to go to activation settings it's going to tell us that we're not active we don't have a key installed so we're just going to paste it right in here choose next it's going to activate Windows for us and we're ready to go if you're in need of cheap Windows keys I'll leave a link in the description and remember you can use code ETA for 25% off getting right down to it what we've got here is a b550 motherboard 16 GB of RAM 512 GB m.2 SSD and we've got a ryzen 5 5600x yeah I know that the PS5 Pro is going to an 8 core CPU but the clocks on that are going to be much lower than we're seeing over here on that 5600x and it's really hard to beat the price on something like this new egg recently had a deal going on motherboard Ram m.2 SSD and that 5600x after tax shipped to the door $28 and I did post this in my community section A lot of people were able to get their hands on it and since then they ran the deal again but they took out the m.2 SSD either way definitely keep an eye out I'll leave links in the description this was such a great deal I had to pick it up and I already own a 5600 x I think I've also got a 5600 laying around but since it was only 208 with the RAM storage motherboard and CPU I had to pick it up when it comes to the cooler for this build we're going to be sticking with the r stealth that comes with that 5600x if you want to spend a little more you can get something a bit beefier but we're not going to be doing overclocking right now you can always upgrade this down the road and this does work really well at the stock wattage and clocks of the 5600x once it's all together looks a little something like this the motherboard that came with this bundle isn't the greatest in the world but I have used these cheaper gigabyte boards in the past b450 and 550 this is the b550 MK and again we're not going to be doing any overclocking so it's going to work fine with this setup when it comes to a case to use with a build like this it's really going to come down to personal preference and of course pricing this is the gigabyte 301 in white it comes with four RGB fans and this this is the glass side panel I think they make one with a lexand side panel this was 60 bucks and I mean I think it's a pretty decent looking case I'm not a huge fan of RGB but some people may appreciate that we've got four fans already pre-installed ready to go tons of room to work inside of this case and to tell you the truth if I could have picked up something a bit smaller I probably would have for the price and I'm sure if you keep an eye out over on Amazon you can find something that you like but for the price time frame this was the one I picked up and it does support a vertical GPU comes with our back plate here but unfortunately doesn't come with a bracket or a PCI Eiser so we're going to be installing this horizontally now all I need to do is wire this up and of course we're going to need a power supply to get everything going I went with a cx750 this was supposed to be refurbished on Amazon it just kind of looks like it's used I did bench test it it's working good I paid 45 bucks for it but yeah it is a little beat up it's a semi modular power supply came with all all the cables and everything like that it should be sufficient for what we've got going on here now I've got the motherboard CPU RAM storage fans were pre-installed in the case and I've wired up the power supply last thing we need to do here is install a GPU and we definitely wanted something with a bit of power so I opted to use the AMD Radeon RX 7700 XT I've got the ASRock Phantom gaming version but right now the power cooler version is $350 it's on sale basically everywhere 12 gigs of vram and of course you could always go with an Nvidia card if you want to but for 350 right now for the 7700 XT I do think it's a pretty awesome option if you don't mind going AMD this ASRock version is a lot larger than the other ones on the market I mean they go overboard with their coolers but that 7700 XT is a great card for 1440p gaming RGB on those front fans we've got that rear fan with some RGB and on this ASRock card you can turn the RG GB off directly from the card if you don't want it on I'll probably disable all of this later on down the road but I wanted to give you an idea of how it looked now all I need to do is install Windows 11 get the drivers updated download some games and applications that we're going to be testing okay here we are been up and running for a while now as you can see we've got that ryzen 5 5600x haven't done anything to this in the Bios whatsoever there's no overclocking going on uh we've got that stock cooler with the better cooler we could definitely definely overclock this chip but I think it's going to do pretty good in its stock form 16 GB of ddr4 from the BIOS I have en abled that performance profile so we're up to 3200 MHz and of course we've got that AMD Radeon RX 7700 XT 12 gigs of vram and ASRock does offer their tweak software but for some reason I just can't get it to run right now so what I've actually done is just taking it up to their recommended clocks from afterburner plus 15 on the power power limit there core clock 2599 and memory clock I'm actually just a bit under at 2300 so we'll have a little bit of a performance boost on that 7700 XT but yeah I mean it's really got a nice cooler on it it's not going to be an issue for this unit another thing I personally wanted to check out here was just the TDP on that 5600x so to make it pretty easy here I've got CPU Z we're going to stress this out and that CPU jumps up to right there at 77 Watts so almost 80 watts and I'm sure we could definitely get there while gaming but yeah with that stock cooler don't want to do much more than that but so far it's been working great now the first thing I want to take a look at are some benchmarks and then we'll jump right into some gaming 3D Mark steel Nomad coming in with a pretty decent 3,349 and I also ran time spot just to kind of give me a Baseline 14, , 657 it's actually outperforming what I thought it would do I figured we'd be right there around 13,000 with this setup here given that we've got the 5600x but it did exceed what I was thinking it was going to do the first three games we're going to be taking a look at were PlayStation exclusives but now they're available for PC and it looks like their turnaround time is like 12 to 14 months for a lot of
