get on a phone right now it's more the brightest making it easy to use outdoors colors are rich and vibrant thanks to the Super AMOLED panel especially so if you're watching HDR content and it's sharp with its quad HD plus resolution but it's when you pair this massive screen with really really good stereo speakers you've got a speaker on the bottom and one earpiece or of course you could use the headphone jack which is useful to have this becomes for me at least my favorite device to actually watch stuff on I won't take my iPad anymore on planes or trains I'll just take my no.9 it's just so nice for watching stuff Gaming is awesome as well thanks to these snapdragon 845 chip and six or eight gigs of ram so as you would expect for a phone like this it'll breeze through any Apple game uther tip I do like the fact that it has Dex Samsung's Android desktop thingy which is really good for pro users and although I've never actually felt the need to use it some people will want the note 9 as an actual productivity device with the big screen the powerful Hardware the s-pen and also the potential for up to a terabyte of storage if you go for the more expensive model and we pop in a 512 gig SD card but continuing with the theme that everything is just bigger on the note 9 and designed for power users the battery life on this thing is incredible note 8 had a 33 hundred million power battery this has a four thousand milliamp hour battery as the same as the Huawei p20 pro I get to the end of a full workday with 40% of my battery left I've never run out of battery or even worried about rationing how I use it so it lasts until the end of the day it's something I really appreciate plus it supports was and fast charging for me the battery life is one of the biggest selling points of the note 9 but of course for its most famous for the staple of the note series is the s-pen it's interesting though because I never think I'm actually gonna use it that much but then I find myself jotting down little screen off notes playing tic-tac-toe with a friend on the train screenshotting or even recording video of certain parts of the screen or just showing off that I can take a selfie remotely by pressing the button on the s-pen the thing about me s pin though is even if you don't actually ever use it and you just keep it in there the whole time it doesn't take away from what is already a terrific phone but I did surprise myself with just how often I ends up using it I actually miss the s-pen when I go back to using other phones now the last thing I want to talk about before we go on to the not-so-good stuff is the camera which is almost identical to what you get on the S line plus with some added AI scene detection which can actually make a noticeable difference to picture quality the note 9 is one of the most versatile cameras you can get on a phone with a two times optical zoom lens a variable aperture which opens up to F 1.5 for low-light shots for K 60 video 9 60 FPS super slow-motion and while I do still prefer the picture quality and also the selfies on the pixel to excel for me I think the node 9 is the best all-rounder server has a beautiful screen strong performance a huge battery and a great all-round camera but there are a few things I'm not so keen on and the first thing is the size now not everyone will have a problem with it some people love bigger phones but this thing is big especially people our case on it it's definitely a two-handed phone and for me at least I found the s9 plus felt much nicer to hold sticking with the design if I'm honest it's just a little bit boring looking I'm not sure what you think I really do like this new blue color but a slide from a slightly different camera layout ever so slightly thinner bezels it looks pretty much just like the note 8 from last year I am glad though that Samsung moved the fingerprint beneath the cameras which makes it a little easier to get but it still feels far too high and it's just a little uncomfortable to reach we still have the big speed button right here which it's just a pain in the ass even after a month I keep forgetting it's not the power button which is over here and because the volume rocker is so high on the phone I feel like this is a good place for the bottom of the volume rockers so I still keep pressing him I don't mind big speed it's fine for some stuff especially image recognition and giving you search results around that but it doesn't need a physical button or if it did at least let me change it to something else like a shutter button what I would say though is none of those issues are deal-breakers and overall this is still one of my favorite phones it is expensive very expensive at 900 pounds starting at 900 pounds but I don't think that's unreasonable given the competition and just all the bells and whistles you get with this thing what is tempting though is the cheaper s9 plus but I do think I will miss the note lines excellent battery life and the s-pen does come in handy for me I probably pay a bit more and actually go for the note 9 so it's not perfect there's a few little Samsung annoyances about it but I was still
