Street Truck put to the test! 2600HP cummins!

**A Thrilling Day at the UCC Triathlon Diesels Event**

The day was filled with excitement and suspense as the competitors took to the track for the UCC Triathlon Diesels event. The event was a showcase of strength, power, and skill as drivers navigated their vehicles through various challenges. The crowd was electric, cheering on their favorite drivers as they pushed their machines to the limit.

As the competition heated up, the tension mounted. Drivers were facing a daunting task - to pull their sleds across the finish line, weighing in at over 300 pounds of weight and requiring over 2000 horsepower to complete. The drivers knew it wouldn't be easy, but they were determined to give it their all.

The event was being led by Chris Patterson, who had been training for months to perfect his technique. He had spent countless hours fine-tuning his vehicle, making adjustments to the weight box and preloads to optimize its performance. His crew had also made significant upgrades to the truck's chassis, adding extra strength and support to ensure that it could withstand the rigors of sled pulling.

As Chris took to the track for his final event, he was feeling confident. He had pulled eight times before, with only half of those pulls resulting in a successful completion. The other half had been marred by fires or mechanical failures, but Chris was determined to put those issues behind him and focus on the task at hand.

The crowd was on the edge of their seats as Chris took off, his sled pulling through the first 25 seconds with ease. But as he approached the halfway mark, disaster struck - the truck's triple stage caught fire, threatening to derail his chances of winning. The crew quickly sprang into action, using fire extinguishers and quick thinking to put out the flames and minimize damage.

Despite the setback, Chris was able to recover and push on, determined to complete the final 200 feet of the sled pull. The crowd erupted in cheers as he crossed the finish line, securing a respectable fourth place finish.

The event was a resounding success, with competitors pushing themselves to new heights (literally) in their quest for victory. The level of competition was fierce, but in the end, it was Chris Patterson and his crew who emerged victorious, thanks to their hard work, dedication, and sheer determination.

**A Glimpse into the World of Sled Pulling**

Sled pulling is a unique and demanding form of motorsport that requires drivers to navigate their vehicles through a challenging course while carrying an enormous amount of weight. The event at the UCC Triathlon Diesels was just one example of this type of competition, which has been gaining popularity in recent years.

The sport requires drivers to have a deep understanding of their machines, as well as the track and the sled itself. They must be able to anticipate and respond to changing conditions, making split-second decisions to optimize their performance. The weight and power required for sled pulling are also extreme, with some vehicles reaching speeds of over 100 mph while carrying loads of up to 300 pounds.

The crew's role in sled pulling is just as critical as the driver's. They must be able to fine-tune the vehicle's performance, making adjustments to the weight box, preloads, and other components to optimize its performance. The truck's chassis must also be specially modified to withstand the stresses of sled pulling, with a focus on strength and durability.

For Chris Patterson and his crew, sled pulling was not just about competing - it was about pushing themselves to new heights (literally) and proving that their machine was capable of withstanding even the most extreme conditions. The success of this event will undoubtedly inspire others to take up the sport, and we can't wait to see what the future holds for Chris Patterson and his crew.

**The Competition**

The competition at the UCC Triathlon Diesels event was fierce, with drivers from all over the country vying for the top spot. The event featured a range of challenges, including sled pulling, tire changing, and weight shifting.

One of the standout competitors was Tony, who had been training for months to perfect his technique. He had pulled an impressive 308 feet on his final attempt, setting a new benchmark for the competition. However, he still fell short of taking the top spot, finishing second behind Chris Patterson's fourth place finish.

The event also featured a range of other competitors, each with their own unique style and approach to sled pulling. Some drivers opted for more aggressive strategies, using high-powered engines and advanced technology to maximize their performance. Others took a more conservative approach, focusing on finesse and control rather than raw power.

Despite the competitiveness, the atmosphere at the event was relaxed and friendly, with competitors and spectators alike enjoying the camaraderie and excitement of the day. As one competitor noted, "This is a community that's all about having fun and pushing ourselves to new heights - it's an incredible experience to be a part of."

**The Trucks**

The trucks used in sled pulling are specially modified vehicles designed to withstand the stresses of the competition. They typically feature advanced suspension systems, high-strength chassis, and powerful engines capable of generating over 2000 horsepower.

One of the standout features of the trucks is their weight box, which is specifically designed to optimize performance while minimizing weight. The weight box must be precisely calibrated to ensure that the sled pulls smoothly and consistently, with no jerky or unpredictable movements.

The preloads on the truck also play a critical role in sled pulling. The crew must carefully adjust the preloads to balance the weight of the sled against the power of the engine, ensuring that the truck is able to accelerate smoothly and maintain speed throughout the course.

The trucks used in sled pulling are truly remarkable machines, capable of performing feats of strength and endurance that would be impossible for most other vehicles. As one competitor noted, "These trucks are like beasts - they're powerful, fast, and incredibly durable - it's an honor to drive one."

**Conclusion**

The UCC Triathlon Diesels event was a resounding success, with competitors pushing themselves to new heights (literally) in their quest for victory. The level of competition was fierce, but the atmosphere at the event was relaxed and friendly, with everyone enjoying the camaraderie and excitement of the day.

As we look to the future, it's clear that sled pulling is a sport on the rise - with its unique combination of power, skill, and teamwork, it's an experience unlike any other. Whether you're a seasoned competitor or just starting out, the world of sled pulling has something to offer everyone.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enso 100 to the out here at ucc with chris patterson unrivaled diesel and you've brought your truck out here this year are you are you doing the sled pull that's the first thing i'm gonna ask you absolutely all right so it's like 50 50 i think yeah some guys are just drag racing and dynoing some are sled pulling we do the whole thing ourselves we don't outsource anything all right we build our own engines transmissions one truck does all of it drag race dino sledge full street drive whatever that's what you see is all about i love it yeah so we got the triathlon going on with this truck this year so we're doing drag racing today your best so far is what pass sad and pathetic okay terrible but 650 something at like 121. first pass we had some driver air i kind of you know shifted third and overdrive at the same time and then the second time we had some shifter bind and we held the band and the direct at the same time the transmission didn't like that so now we got a fresh training insane we're gonna try to go down the track on a good good amount of power so somewhere in the fives yeah yeah hopefully what's your personal best with it uh 543 and 870. nice yeah eight seventies in the quarter i like the quarter i like the street cars so do we so we got drag racing today gonna be putting on the dyno tomorrow and then sled pulling on sunday what are you guessing for power with this thing what's the most you've made well our personal best now is 3089 that's right at the time this is what the internet is talking about recently and that is the highest record that anyone's put on a diesel vehicle to the tire on a diner so we're here to defend that and uh the new set up over the winter makes about 420 horse more on the base pile than it did last year so we're hoping that we're going to do really well too and what's the comb under the hood what do you got for engine turbo turbos uh we have a vs racing 83 millimeter ball bearing on the manifold a vs racing 106 triple ball bearing atmosphere all right would you like to see it sure it's not much to look at it's basically a tractor motor yeah cast iron block cast iron head so the whole entire setup is a hamilton competition block modified coolant that we filled with moroso heart block dnj stage three head uh billet camshaft dnj connecting rod uh stock rocker arms 450 flux diesel injectors two 14 millimeter extra that's basically it and this makes 3000 horsepower with some extra nitrous on top of that yeah wow so we did the 3 000 horsepower at the all truck challenge in ohio on a different dyno than tomorrow's dyno and then the next weekend i took my wife to a wedding and it was great like it was 120 miles away it was great wow yeah it's a street truck you like that she loved it yeah yeah she liked it showing up in style i loved it but she liked it yeah she took selfies uh interesting wedding vehicle it was it was amazing to me it meant everything you know because it's one thing to have a vehicle that goes down the track really fast it's lightweight and it's like a pro stock or pro mod type deal but then you only get to do this with it what if you get to go out there or like go to dinner or drive it to work like all these cool things check the guys out you got to be able to use it yeah enjoy it enjoy it different ways what are your plans what's your strategy for this weekend to make 3 000 horsepower to prove to everybody that's real and to finish the weekend perfect that's it it's not easy if you get podium great yeah if you finish that's what i want so we're just going to do the best we can every segment with what we have to work with beautiful well good luck on the next pass man thank you luck this weekend yeah appreciate it exactly what he was looking for mid five will work great a lot better than the mid six that he had earlier let's see what he does on his uh last few passes here today and the dyno tomorrow is gonna be very interesting i've got a very important question for you do you like diesel trucks of course you do you've made it this far in the video we have a brand new 1320 big rig shirt that just came out and we have our 1320 hd shirt that's very appropriate for this event along with a lot of new fresh merch for the summer got over 100 different merch items on our website 1320video.com right where you wanted to be damn no i said five times to five pounds okay all right not quite where you wanted to be we just you know warmed it up okay we took a second off your last pass that's pretty decent that is good but yeah we're happy we're happy but we don't want to be greedy but it's not turned up all the way yeah they're passing tonight yeah i think we're gonna leave some more yeah we're gonna have a team meeting so you might see us if not you know where to find us all right thanks man see you chris coming up for one last pass here this is number five just behind turbo problems 488 after day one on the drag strip so get out of it bro whoa chris yes i have no idea how kristin hit the wall on that one that was sketchy not sure what the sparks were from right before he got back into it but uh he almost ended up in the wall there i i good save you're good oh damn you good yeah we're great man what happened dancing a little bit you know you didn't see the wall on the on your fender there yeah i mean it wouldn't be the first time this is what it is turned her up the air got better one down track tank went down yeah i wonder what the sparks were i think that was brakes oh okay played sparks everywhere yeah let's go figure it out you know his heart rate up through the roof right now mine would be if it's not there's something wrong with him are you ready yeah i think so yeah you changed anything up for the dyno yeah the triples oh yeah show me that real quick trust your hood properly is this bamboo or what's your proper choice here so what's the what's the triple setup it's 96 ball bearing vs a manful and two 87 no two 76 87 tdi forced on the atmospheres is the manifold turbo similar to what you're running yesterday exactly okay this is the setup you did the 3000 horsepower no we did 3 000 horsepower on an 8106 okay so this is bigger nice can you put a bunch of spray on it too yeah we update quite a bit yeah so three something that's what you're looking for yeah i want to do three to prove it and then turn it up but we've gained a lot of power over the winter so we don't know exactly where we're going to be it might be a one and done it might take a swing or two but it's like a tally marker you only get so many swings yeah just uh two trucks away see up there soon thanks man good luck here you notice a lot of these trucks here without doors uh that's because sometimes it goes wrong and you need to get out of there fast uh when we saw the we saw the dirty hooker diesel guys here in 2019 the turbine wheel just exploded and took out a bunch of stuff there was fire everywhere and he was struggling to get the door open with the dyno rail there so they can get out of these trucks real fast you also notice that the also notice the dyno is way down there this year it used to be right here but last year uh there was an explosion and a piston actually made its way up to right there on the p that is a piston mark right there from last year hopefully we don't have that again this year all right the prep the vht is going on to the tires let's see if that magic 3 000 horsepower number is possible number one right now competitor number 20 derrick rose the dnr your overall number one all right what'd it do two four two two that's the number we're at right now all right 24 22 for the first pull now he's got 30 minutes to get the truck cooled down he gets to make as many more poles as he wants within that 30 minutes those these guys are doing two total so they can cool the engines down as much as they can for that second one maybe he's got some more spray on tap hopefully he's got quite a ways to make that 3000 horsepower number just at 1734 not sure what the issue was it looked like a strong pull but it's pretty low maybe no nitrous or something i'm not sure do they think it would spin in or what get out of it it would just fit in that's why go ahead like four more straps i thought they're gonna go there and find out see how much more they can find all right so what's the strategy i just shoved more nitrous down in it i think i'm taking the vht off oh or at least going down i got too much phd from what these guys are telling me interesting it gets greasy yeah just kicking tires at that point just spin the last two it's fun the first one the last one is it really if it's fun the second one was the definite yeah but he also only made like a half second pull this last one so we only made three quarters you can't really tell they spin up so fast it's like one and a half seconds versus two is quite a bit rpm hey you messed up you missed it 32.82 one thing's for certain this his setup has taken a lot of abuse two different dino poles over 2000 horsepower within 30 minutes 26 14 on that hole holy is he gonna do another one there's one minute left here on the clock all right hopefully it stays together this is rough all right 25 seconds on the clock 25 34 on the fifth fifth dino pole wow no 3 000 horsepower but he put on a show everyone else that's gone on the dyno software has only done two poles that thing went through some abuse 35 34 and 25 44. we did three pulls in 12 minutes i started the gopro and i just turned up and grabbed six we did three pulls nobody else has done three holes in an hour yeah okay like five six i don't even know with the cigars six dyno pulls in 30 minutes for them over 2000 horsepower i believe three of them were two anyway that's insane we've only seen everyone else run two poles in 30 minutes and he uh yeah that was a great show no 3000 horsepower but man the level of ridiculousness of these diesels are is insane just in here idling like a semi truck good girl were you planning on doing six pulls let's play on doing one jeez maybe the vht was a bad call but it's worked on other dinos in the past were you thinking about that as you're doing your fourth fifth second motor in the training ah okay all right congrats man pretty epic we'll be seeing you tomorrow for sled pulling sounds like right got the pulling tires on and the weight box yeah no kidding it's versatile so what all do you change on the truck to get it swapped over for sleep one um i catch you right after you lift a few hundred pounds not very much yeah just about 300 pounds of square tubing on the bottom oh they just strengthened the chassis 40 feet 2 inch 16 wallers whatever they had in stock welded all that crap on you did that last night yeah we left the triples on so you don't snuff out a charger nice that's about it really tires weight box preloads solid rear suspension the normal things that people say they do when they sled pull yep so i don't know how many pulls have you done with this sled pulling i've only pulled about eight times half of them been on fire the other half i was bouncing been in the frame so i hope it don't bend no frame and i hope it'll come out on fire we got some extra strengthening in it i think we're gonna i think we're gonna chip it and just hold it to the wood let it this is the last event it'll cost me a pair of pistons but you know it's cheap to pay there you go and you're only like four points behind tony right now yeah you get to overtake third fairly easily first and seconds can be tough yeah i don't know what the competition has i know there's a bunch of professional sled pullers out here but we're just a street truck trying to do our thing so whatever it is whatever it is we hold our heads hot we are good this weekend chris hook it up for a sled pull let's see if we can make it past that 300 foot mark that seems to be kind of the rough goal everyone's going for uh it's a tough one to do there isn't really a full pull here you just go as many feet as you can that that sled's gonna put a ton of weight on you at the end you're not gonna make it much further about 300 feet a little bit of smoke damn that is solid what's the furthest so far i think it was 300 wasn't it i don't know i just got down here he did 308 on that one he's driving away too i i think chris can be pretty happy with that one 308 that might be the longest of the day nice work how many feet that was solid well it said 274 at the front and 308 up here so i'm not sure which ones how much it said 274 on the back side and 308 on the front side i'm not sure which one's accurate okay i don't know if that's enough that's not enough nice work man false performance all week appreciated it we did what we could help you brought it that's right that's for sure congrats on a great weekend thank you see how you place out yeah i appreciate it chris patterson and crew finishing overall fourth place here at ucc which is pretty epic here at the triathlon diesels one hell of a performance by the crew and they did all three events with the same truck which i think is epic that's gonna do it for this video thank you guys for watching as always if you haven't subscribed already go click that button and click the bell so you get notified every
