The Design of the iPhone 5: A Closer Look

The reason why I'm doing this video is for one main reason only - I get questions asked all the time why upgrade to the iPhone 5, what does it offer, and usually the response that I'll give is that they just add a couple of features and can sell it and do very well and be successful at it. That's what Apple is known for, but with the iPhone 5, it really changes the game. I feel like people need to know why this phone is this phone and why it is one of the best smartphones on the market.
Let's start off with the front face of the iPhone 5. As we can see up on the top, we have our 720p Mega uh 720p front facing camera, excuse me there. We also have our speaker for the top part, and that is just a huge upgrade. Coming to the bottom here, we have our home button coming to the side, here we have our volume volum rockers as well as the mute and unmute switch coming to the bottom here, and this is one of the more important faces on the phone.
The front and back are very important, but the bottom does have a bunch of upgrades. We have the 3.5 mm Jack, and as we did see on the iPhone 4S, it was at the top, but I'm very happy they took some of the uh consumer's advice and put it on the bottom. It's just easier to use if you have headphones in, and they added the speakers and there's physical speaker holes here versus the speaker being inside the 30 pin dock connector as we did see on the iPhone 4S.
The last prominent thing we see here is the lightning charging uh Port, it's very cool for charging, and we actually did a video demo on this. I'll put an annotation right up there coming to the side, where we have our new nano SIM tray, so it is a different SIM card than your standard uh micro SIM that's kind of cool.
Coming to the top, we have our power on and power off button, and then nothing else over here, so another important face on this phone is the back. They did a lot of cool things to the back, which I do like, we have the 8 megapixel camera, it didn't change in terms of megapixels but it is made out of sapphire. We also have the LED there, LED flash and then we have this kind of black slate backing you can see how it's two-tone from a black to an aluminum.
This is to prevent uh drops because if we did see on the iPhone 4 and 4S it was made out of glass, and if you dropped it and it cracked you got a cracked back my friend, and it is just not nice having a cracked back. What the aluminum is supposed to do is keep it a little bit more safe but one report is saying the aluminum scratch is easier so there's pros and cons to everything.

main reason only I get questions asked all the time why upgrade to the iPhone 5 what does it offer and usually the response that I'll give and this is from the 4S uh to the 4 was because they just add a couple features and they can sell it and do very well and be successful at it that's what the Apple known apple is known for but with the iPhone 5 it really changes the game and I feel like people need to know why this phone is this phone and why it is one of the best smartphones on the market so we're going to go ahead and start off with the front here so as we can see up on the top we have our 720p uh Mega uh 720p uh front facing camera excuse me there we have our speaker for the top part we have the gorgeous 4in screen and that is just a huge upgrade and coming to the bottom here we have our home button coming to the side here we have our volume volum rockers as well as the mute and unmute switch coming to the bottom here and this is one of the more important faces on the phone the front and back are very important but the bottom does have a bunch of upgrades we have the 3.5 mm Jack and as we did see on the iPhone 4S it was at the top but I'm very happy they took some of the saying the aluminum scratch is easier so there's pros and cons to everything so we have this nice black slate here and then we have the same black as we do see on the top so overall am I a fan of the changes Apple did on the new iPhone 5 yes I absolutely love them the only con that I really have about the back is the fact that it's a grease monkey and it picks up every single fingerprint I put on it but I guess I can just get used to that as time uh goes on and the fact that it is the new iPhone 5 so if you guys enjoy this design video please be sure to give this video a thumbs up as it does help me out a lot and definitely recommend you check out our playlist for all our iPhone 5 coverage which can be found right up there thank you guys again and I look forward to seeing you in my next
