What's in My Travel Bag

I recently reviewed a battery pack and charger for my iPhone 6s, which I used extensively as a power bank and to jump-start my car. The product was incredibly useful and reliable, allowing me to charge multiple devices on the go. In fact, I found it so convenient that I ended up using it four times in one day - I might be exaggerating slightly, but it's safe to say it exceeded my expectations.

One of the standout features of this battery pack is its versatility. It can charge not just my iPhone, but also other devices such as my MacBook and iPad. It's also worth noting that it has a built-in USB port on top, making it easy to connect multiple devices at once. Additionally, I discovered that it could even be used to charge a car battery in case of an emergency - this feature is often overlooked, but it can be a lifesaver in certain situations.

I've included some additional features and accessories with my travel bag, which will undoubtedly come in handy during my trip. First up, there's a Gorillapod tripod, which allows me to position the camera in a variety of ways - whether I'm filming on a balcony or need to attach it to a door frame or pole. The Gorillapod is incredibly versatile and secure, making it perfect for capturing stable footage in different locations.

Another essential item I've included in my bag is a microphone. I've opted for the Rode NT-USB, which has quickly become my favorite microphone for recording voiceovers. Its exceptional sound quality and ease of use make it a must-have for any content creator. The microphone also features a pop shield, which helps to reduce plosives and ensure crisp, clean audio.

My bag is almost fully stocked with everything I need for the trip - except for one crucial item: new headphones! While I've been using my trusty Sony MDR-XB250s for years, they're starting to show their age. I recently picked up a pair of Apple EarPods at a discounted price, and while some people may not be fans of these earbuds, I find them incredibly comfortable and useful.

The bag itself is designed with travel in mind, featuring tons of padding and support to keep my gear safe during transport. The straps are also surprisingly comfortable, making it easy to wear the bag around my neck or shoulder. On one side, I've added a cover for my MacBook Pro - this skin features a beautiful design that matches my desk and monitor stand, adding a touch of style to my tech setup.

Finally, there's room for a laptop and an iPad in the side pocket. As fate would have it, I've decided to bring both devices with me on this trip - the iPad will be useful for replying to comments and planning future videos, while the laptop can come in handy for editing footage. Overall, I'm thrilled with the contents of my travel bag and am confident that everything I need is accounted for.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhey what's up guys Stephen cult of mac here and today I thought to give you a little tour of what's in my travel bag what I take with me to wear film and edit with when I'm on the move so let's get started well at the time this video is being uploaded I'm currently traveling over to Spain for a week's holiday or sorry vacation but that doesn't mean I'm not going to be creating any videos while I'm out there so this is the travel bag that I am taking with me the lowepro fast packet 250 the guys over at low pro good enough to send this over for me to review so whilst I might let I'm going to be doing a full video review of this baby but just from having it for a couple of days and trying out some testing it out for this video I am super impressed at how much you can fit in with everything being secured so you've got like a camera compartment down here I've got pockets for my laptop of my ipad on the side and everything secure everything safe and it's not too overloaded so if you look on the side I've got this month wrote so compact I don't even know what's called them on fruit so compact MK c 3 now this is pretty much just for photography because it hasn't got fluid head on it the reason i'm packing this is because it's the smallest one I have at the moment and it folds up super small and then with the amount adjustments I can get this to it to extend quite large so let's start on the camera side on the front so under these two clips so this feature I really love as I can get straight into the bag the backpack and get access to my cameras and my lenses super quick so the camera of choice here is the sony a7 that's what I film all my videos on for the channel i'm currently using a older nex-5 so if there's a different quality that's why i absolutely look this camera i want to upgrade to the a7s to just so i've got that low light performance and 4k recording in terms of lenses I've only got the two for this come at the moment I have got a super cheap 50 millimeter prime lens straight from ebay it's made for the canon eos mount and I've just got a little adapter on this that's what gets all the nice boker and the close-ups and things like that then I've also got the stock lens for the NEX that came with it which is the 28th to 70 ml and normally just use this for photography and any kind of wide shots that I want took the way in the back plenty of charges and batteries for the a7 in the back I have got my little lab earlier Mike so this is the rode smartlav plus i used to use for all the videos it just plug straight into my iphone and a record onto the road app it's not the best sound quality but if I do decide to film some stuff outside whilst on holiday this will be super handy also then I have got a little SD card book so I've got plenty of storage for while I'm away examine taking my macbook pro which doesn't have the largest hard drive up here in the top of the bag it's got some spaces for SD cards obviously I've already got that book to keep them all safe so I am using this for a USB stick holders so I've got the I stick which I can plug into my laptop the store movies and music and things like that and then i can plug it straight into my iphone or ipad so I've got films on the plane for my daughter so also here I have got the GoPro Hero just the bog standard one because I don't really use it all that often so it made more sense that the cheaper one and I could spend my hard-earned and I could spend my hard-earned cash somewhere else like on the sony a7 so a food a sip this section back also got another little pocket on top here which is really handy in here i have got the Cobra jump pack and I did a full review on this a couple of weeks ago as a battery pack pack and charger iphone 6s I think it was four times and I might be wrong there I've got a full video review I'll make sure to leave that on the description down below but it's a brilliant power bank or battery pack whatever you'd like to call it and I can also jump start your car so there is things I've missed out on here such as a battery charges from the macbook and my iphone and things like that killed because i'm still using them so then at the top pocket here i have got a job a gorillapod just because i don't know where I'll be filming what it's going to be like whether I could fit a tripod somewhere from going to film in a balcony and so this is great it can bend and move into different positions and wrap around poles or door frames or anything like that you can get a grip on and it's super secure from drill be I'm going to do a full review of this next week you can get iphone variants as well so if you want to mount your iPhone on here you can I've just got the standard DSLR because this should be able to take the weight of these Sony a7 no problems also in here I have got my new favorite make of choice you may have seen it in the room tour if you saw that last week this is the road NT USB and I absolutely love this microphone it's brilliant for my blue servers so that's why it's coming with me cuz i plan to do a couple videos while i'm out there not sure how many so the videos do dip in the week that is why i've tried to film a couple in advance but I've still got to edit them while I'm out there so that's for my voice overs and then it's also got the pop shield so all of this kind of comes apart and screws together just so easy for transport Lenin here I've also got my WD passport it's not going to help me get through the airport any quicker but this is my two terabyte hard drive that I used for pretty much everything so all of my call to my footage goes on here along with anything else that I shoot then I've got some headphones in here I'm actually I'm handy to have so just shown in this bag really quickly it's got tons of padding in support as it is quite heavy with all of my kit in it the straps are really comfortable it's got padding on the back so there's nothing digging into your back while traveling in the side got my macbook pro which has got this cover-up skins on at the moment and I absolutely love this skin I'm not massive fan of macbook cases because a lot of intends added by Tartabull not too fussed if the underside gets a bit scratched but the top I do want to try and keep safe so I've got this maplewood skin and the match
