**Reducing Animations and Speeding Up Your Samsung Note 10**
If you're experiencing some sluggishness with your Samsung Note 10, reducing animations can make things feel a bit faster. To do this, head into Settings, then Advanced Features, and turn on "Reduce Animations". This will help to reduce the number of animations that appear on your screen, making everything feel more responsive.
**Unlocking Developer Options**
To further customize your Note 10's performance, you'll need to unlock Developer Options. To do this, go into Settings, then About Phone, and tap the build number eight times until it says "Developer Mode" enabled. Then, head back to Settings, then Developer Options, and change the three animation settings to 0.5 or 0, depending on your preference. This will help to further reduce animations and make your Note 10 feel even more responsive.
**Smart View: Mirroring Your Phone Screen**
One of the unique features of the Samsung Note 10 is Smart View, which allows you to mirror what's on your phone screen onto a TV. To use this feature, go into Settings, then Drop Down Shortcuts, and toggle on "Smart View". This will allow you to stream content from your phone directly to your TV, making it perfect for gaming, watching videos, or sharing photos with friends and family.
**Customizing Your Home Screen**
The Note 10 also allows you to customize your home screen in various ways. One feature that's available is the ability to swipe down from the top of your screen to pull up the notification drawer. To enable this feature, go into Settings, then Display, then Edge Screen, and toggle on "Swipe down from notification panel". This will allow you to access important notifications without having to navigate through menus.
**Using Link to Your Windows PC**
If you use a Windows PC, you'll love the new "Link" feature on your Note 10. To set this up, go into the Microsoft Store on your laptop or PC and download the "Your Phone" app. Follow the instructions to link your devices, and you'll be able to access your photos, messages, and more directly from your phone. This is perfect for app developers who want to test their apps on a remote device.
**Screen Recording**
The Note 10 also features a new screen recording feature that's perfect for gamers and streamers. To use this feature, simply tap the icon and wait for the three-second countdown before it starts recording what's on your screen. You'll be able to capture everything from games to videos to even your own hand-drawn doodles with the S-Pen.
**S Pen: The Ultimate Note-Taking Tool**
One of the most unique features of the Note 10 is the S Pen, which allows you to convert your handwriting into text. To use this feature, simply open up a note-taking app and start scribbling away. Tap the "Convert" icon, and a window will pop up with the converted text. This makes it incredibly easy to take notes without having to type them out by hand.

missed a good one then please do share it in the comments below and if you find the video helpful it'll be amazing if you could hit that like and subscribe button alright so let's get into it and first of all let's get rid of bakery from that side key by default a long press opens bakes B but if you go into settings and van settings and then side key you can reprogram it so I mean I've gone crazy and said the power button to actually be you know a power button as by default you actually have to hold the power and the volume down to turn it off next up let's make the home screen icons a bit less ridiculously big all you have to do is simply long press or pinch in on the home screen and then change the app grid to 5x5 and this gives you more room and make the icons a bit more reasonably sized now while we're talking about good tips a quick shout-out to Nord VPN who are helping to support my channel by sponsoring this video and it is always a good tip to make sure you use a fast and reliable VPN to stay safe when you're online whether you're shopping banking watching us Netflix in the UK or well doing whatever it is you do online Nord VPN have super fast and secure servers so your data is kept safe and PC Mag gave them a perfect score so head on over to Noir DPN comm slash tech chap or click the link in the description to get a whopping 75% off a three-year deal and also enter the code tech chat for an extra month completely free that's Nord VPN comm slash tech chap and I'll tell you more about it at the end of the video now I do love a bit of dark mode and well it may save a bit of battery personally I just prefer the look of it so jump into the display settings and turn on night mode is as simple as that and now menus and the Settings app are a darker theme and until we get a built-in night mode with Android 10 this is the best we can do so the no 10 plus has a huge 6.8 inch screen and I'd like to make the most of it so by enabling gestures you actually get that little bit of screen back where the Android navbar usually is go into settings then advanced features scroll right down and then click navigation bar then just tap on full screen gestures I'm also used to it you can turn off now obviously this is a very powerful phone but it can still feel a little bit sluggish because of Samsung's 1ui software and so reducing animations does help make things feel a little bit faster firstly head into settings and then advanced features and turn on reduce animations then go back and head into about phone then software info and tap the build number eight times to turn on developer options once you've unlocked it go into the dev options scroll right down and then change these three animation settings to 0.5 times or 0 times and then everything should feel a bit nippy err ok this is a quick one and with the in screen ultrasonic fingerprint reader on the note 10 I found to make the finger point mean a more reliable you should register the same finger twice I tested it before and after doing a second time and it did seem to be a bit more consistent now another nifty feature is Smart View and you can find it in the drop down shortcuts this basically lets you mirror what's on your phone screen onto a TV as far as I know this works with chromecast's Amazon fire sticks and Samsung TVs for now so you can then play games watch videos basically you're streaming your phone and actually it's really responsive since the note 10 plus is so big you don't always want to keep having to weak to the top to pull down the notification drawer I'm surprised this isn't on by default but go into the home screen settings and then turn on swipe down from notification panel now you can do it anywhere from the home screen if I'm honest I don't really use the notes edge panels very often but I know some people do and it can be a handy shortcut for apps contacts or actually I found thing reminders they're quite helpful still sometimes I find myself accidentally pressing it so I went into settings display edge screen and then just turn it off and from here you can also customize the edge lighting when you get notifications another cool feature is link to your Windows PC and it does pretty much exactly what it says on the tin go to the Microsoft Store on your laptop or PC and download the your phone app follow the instructions and then you've got it linked up so from here you can see your photos you can send messages and even get a live view of your phone a bit like the Smart View feature we talked about earlier I can definitely see this being handy for app developers who want to test their apps from their piece and also being able to copy photos across to your desktop rather than having to plug the phone in or blow them to a cloud server now if you're a big gamer or streamer then the new screen record feature will come in really handy just tap it and you'll get a three second countdown before it starts recording what's on the screen if you long press the icon you can tweak the settings including the resolution while audio eight the chords and the size of your selfie video so while you're recording what's on the screen maybe a game or something it'll also capture selfie video from the front camera and it'll even capture what you draw with your finger will the s-pen it's everything you need for mobile game streaming and finally last but not least we have the S Pen I'm not going to talk about air gestures or AR doodles which both seem ridiculously gimmicky to me but one cool feature I really like is the ability to convert your handwriting to text open up some some notes then scribble a few lines and then tap the convert icon and a window will pop up with the converted texts and then you can copy it or share as a text file and this definitely makes the idea of using the note 10 as a note-taking device much more useful so I hope you found my little guide to the note 10 and 10 plus helpful and I know a bunch of these tips also do apply to the Galaxy S 10 phones as well so a big THANK YOU to Nord VPN who is sponsoring this video and I'll say the only reason I work with these guys is because I genuinely do use it a lot especially when I travel I mean I use hotspots and public Wi-Fi all the time so having Nord VPN keep everything safe when I'm doing my online banking or logging into my youtube account for my business or just helping me stream shows from back home it's all really useful they have fast and secure servers all over the world a dedicated cyber sec feature that helps stop malware phishing attempts and other nasty things online as well as 24-hour customer service and as I say they've got that perfect score from PC Mag so head on over to Nord VPN dot-com slash
