The Poof was Made with Love: A Day in the Life of a Mom

As I sat in my car, trying to keep it cool on this hot summer day, I realized that being a mom is all about finding ways to make life easier for yourself and your family. First things first, I have one of those Sun shields that I put in the front windshield to block out the sun's rays and prevent overheating. It's been a game-changer on days like today when the sun beats down relentlessly. Next to it is this nozzle thingy that attaches to the air-conditioning vent and pushes the cool air all the way to the back seat, where my little one needs it most.

I also have these shade covers for the back windows that not only provide a bit more shade but also protect us from the sun's glare. It's amazing how something as simple as this can make such a big difference in keeping our car cool and comfortable. And when we finally arrive at the mall, I'm excited to pick up some new clothes for my growing family. My firstborn is getting into all sorts of cute outfits, and I love seeing her style evolve.

I headed over to Nordstrom to check out their summer collection, and let me tell you, they had some adorable pieces that caught my eye. First up was this little top, which I thought looked super cute... until I tried it on and realized it wasn't quite flattering on me as much as I had hoped. Back it went! Next, I tried on dress number two, which I think is perfect for summer parties and events. And finally, I picked up this top that I'm absolutely loving - the quality is so high, and it's just the right size.

But the real excitement of my day was trying out a new vlogging camera with you all! I recently purchased the Canon G7X Mark II, which is supposed to be one of the best cameras on the market. I wanted to see if it lived up to its hype, so I compared it side by side with my trusty old Sony A5100. The difference in quality was pretty noticeable - the Canon's image is clearer and more vibrant. It'll be interesting to see how it holds up in real-world use.

After a long day of shopping, we headed home for some downtime. I set up the inflatable tub that I've been wanting to try out, along with this fancy waterfall bath rinser that's supposed to make bathing a whole lot easier. And let me tell you, it was love at first sight! The tub is so much fun to use, and the water feature adds an extra layer of luxury. We also picked up some new shopping cart and high chair covers - I'm particularly fond of this one because of its cute design.

But the real challenge came when we tried to inflate a rubber ducky using a blow dryer and funnel. Sounds simple enough, right? Wrong! It took us multiple attempts (and a bit of Google research) to get it just right. In the end, we figured out that sometimes, less is more - and that this little guy was much happier without the funnel.

As the sun began to set, I decided to put my camera skills to the test. We headed outside for a low-light test, with the Canon G7X Mark II pitted against the Sony A5100 once again. The results were clear: the Canon's image is indeed better in low light. And when we hit the streets for a nighttime walk, I was impressed by how well the camera performed.

Finally, as we wrapped up our day, I couldn't help but feel grateful for this little family of mine. Even on days when things get chaotic (hello, 4-year-old tantrums!), there's always something to be thankful for. And that's exactly what being a mom is all about - finding joy in the everyday moments and making them unforgettable.

ah can you believe things have gotten so out of hand we definitely do not have enough space for all of my supplements we don't have enough space for all of the nut butters we have some rogue onions it's just a complete mess update on everything in here is old the white one alright we're back and we have a little special guest joining it there's some stuff that we have Rico hi so I got my handy dandy rubber and we're going to brush your baby shower with this one does this inspire my Dyson converts into a handheld so I'm going to use this to vacuum up all the crumbs and stuff it in the pantry you help them mama and I'm going to do a quick wipe-down just using these green wipes compostable cleaning wipes to do this faster and easier are you having fun so this is what we have lesson has not expired it's still good we have my supplement nut butters rice chips pasta crackers oatmeal so now I'm going to reorganize all this stuff and show you what it looks like and reorganization take to real life it doesn't look quite as pretty but it is much more functional I'll show you how I have it set up okay so on the top are the things that we don't use as often so extra rice is on the left we have some pancake batter and extra oatmeal in the middle and then on the right is pasta and we don't eat a lot of pasta so that's why it's stored up there now this is the shelf so we are missing before and we have now this is Ryan's snack shelf we'll call it first on the left or tortilla chips in the middle is a space for all of his popcorn on the right is going to be for pretzel chips crackers and other snacks on this shelf or all of my supplements I now have enough space in the back are some of the bend for the items that are going to be shelf stable for a while but I do have them push all the way back because they're not things that we use on an everyday basis and over here is our oatmeal cereal and granola and then on the bottom shelf we have our nut butters and then this can organizer has held up really well I highly recommend this it's been super helpful because it just makes it really easy to see all of the canned goods that you have and over here for any other vegetables that need to be stored out of the light that will update you guys in a couple months to let you know how is holding up and at this time around we did it right you just want to share what I think went wrong the first time the biggest problem was these containers even though they look really pretty and they do serve a purpose of keeping the air out and keeping your products fresh longer so you sound practical when you get back in the grocery store you don't want to have to open up your cereal box open up the cereal bag put it in here and put it back you just want to put your cereal box on the shelf the other big thing was just a categories of items that I had were not the ones that we were using the most estimated Ryan's ability to buy and eat popcorn so this time around I'm optimistic that's going to fold up a lot better but I thought is organizing it sometimes you have to do it twice you do your initial organization and then you check back in six months later or so and see how it's working out in real life and then rearrange it if you need to I'm your good dancer haha yeah yeah yeah next thing I want to talk to you guys about is our bathroom remodel we decided we're going to take the plunge and just do it originally when we first moved in and we were going to completely renovate all three bathrooms but when we got some quotes we were very taken aback by the prices people were charging for this it was like two or three times what we thought it would cost so instead of completely redoing the bathrooms we're just going to keep it very simple so for the downstairs guest bathroom we're just going to do the countertop sink and fixtures we're going to keep the cabinets I like these just fine and we're going to keep the floors although I don't like this random trim right here but redoing the floors is just such a whole other can of worms I don't want to get into so what we are planning on doing here is replacing the countertop and then also redoing all of the tile work over here originally we are going to replace all of this and get a new tub a new shower and redo the tiles but that's just way bigger project than we want to do and we're going to leave the floors even though I don't really like this border or on the edge alright so in the second upstairs bathroom aka Ryan's bathroom we're just going to do the countertops here so we're going to leave the cabinets the floors the shower all of that and just do the countertop when you have all the toys in the world but all you want to do is play with packin air yes of fun it was so fun hey guys today we're heading over to an indoor mall because I like to get out of the house at least every day he likes being out but it's already too hot to do anything outside the summer is just going to be brutal so at least the ball has air conditioning is actually really cold and said mom what is he gonna think looking back on these videos and he's older of how I have him dressed future Carter if
