behind me is a brand new Porsche Macan GTS this thing is so beautifully SPECT so what we're going to do is a kind of two-stage video we're going to have a really good look around this inside and out do a full on-road review I'm going to get to drive the car up the road but I've also got along with me a good friend of mine Chris whose business it is to get people into cars like that or the best car they can for the budget that they have and I think we can have a chat with him it's going to be fascinating to find out just how you kind of work the figures and get access to the tarp and so on and that's what he's really intact so let's take a really good look house yeah we're not going to take it on track to do some some proper weapons going around the track today let's go and have a look at this lovely Porsche Macan GTS the Porsche Macan gets rave reviews across the board and is arguably the leader in its class providing the usability of an SUV with sports car performance that is comparable with other dedicated sports cars from the stood RC for me the GTS is the pick of the bunch with prices starting from around 55,000 pounds it sits 15 millimeters lower than the normal macam and is fitted with Porsches adaptive suspension management or padam as standard okay so let's just have a bit of a chat about the Porsche Macan GTS so it kind of sits in the Macan range above the Macan s and below the turbo it's got a surface sort of 360 bhp depends on which sites you read as to what number you get it's also got a sport designed body kit over-the-air and which has got I mean this cars obviously wear black but it's got some really nice black trim and you might be able to make out with a lovely sort of black GTS moniker down the side and so really really lovely spec car at this point I do have to say a big thank you to gumball Team 57 for lending me his Brad new car and to do my review I will put all the links down to various social media platforms so make sure you go and check them out but a really really beautiful respect car I'll give you some more stats and figures within the video but I think it's probably a good time to make a head up the road and get behind the wheel because it's one of those cars is just sitting there begging to be driven the interior is well laid out with high quality materials all set around the striking center console and trademark Porsche triple instrument binnacle paddles for the Ament 7-speed double-clutch PDK gearbox are mounted on the sport steering wheel GTS stitching on the headrests looks the part under the bonnet is a 3 liter v6 twin-turbo producing 360 bhp and 500 Newton meters 0 to 60 is dispatched in five seconds when sport chrono is fitted and it tops out at 159 miles per hour okay guys here we are behind the wheel of this very very beautiful macam GTS now interestingly I've driven I think every car in the Porsche range except them account so this is the first time I've been behind the wheel of the Macan and it's brilliant timing if you've been watching my recent reviews because I've kind of reviewed a lot of this cars contemporaries I did the valar last week the sq5 the week before that and there all of that kind of smaller super SUV so I'm going to kind of approach this review from that point you know from our perspective to sort of compare it with those cars but also to compare it with the other Porsches I've driven I am a massive fan of the bigger kn especially the v8 diesel I just think that's a supercar so and my first impressions are it's a very very lovely place to be it doesn't feel like a big car this at all you're kind of sat relatively low or certainly kind of into the car and that gives it a really nice sporty feel so we're going to go out to a few nice bits of road put it through into places I'm at the moment just in the normal manual sorry normal Auto box I'm not in the kind of sport or Sport+ mode but even in this mode this car is no slouch at all very very quick pull away and very very quick response larger adults may struggle a little in the back seats for room but the 500 litres of boot space make this sport SUV a highly practical package the one thing I've done from the get-go is put the noisy exhaust button on because well why wouldn't you basically so this car said is very highly spec if you look at the kind of central console I always have a smile there are not many spare buttons left because it's got pretty much every option you can that you can have and I'm also sure in this review we're going to have the opportunity to go do absolutely everything but we'll certainly have a talk about the main the main things and especially about the sort of driving feel so I'm now going to quickly just drop it into the sport mode which you just start to make things a little bit sharper at the moment I'm in a in a 30 mile an hour limit so made absolutely no difference at all apart from the revs just popped up a tiny bit and we'll put it through its paces in sport I'm also going to stick it into the flappy paddles because this has got a Porsche PDK gearbox and if you've seen any of my Porsche reviews before you'll know I have this massive love affair going on with a PDK gearbox of this thing they are absolutely superb so I think we just popped into one side I'm in full manual mode and we can now start and have a little intimate just such a smooth gear change which is what I love yeah so doesn't feel like that SUV that's for sure it's got a really nice kind of compliant suspension setting certainly in this sport mode it's soaking up the box quite nicely but it's still firmly enough sprung so you don't get the body roll when you're when you're walking into a corner and it just has some really nice previous Authority another car I'm gonna drive pulls up with and then have to buy Chris that next to me so I'm going to get him on camera very shortly to talk about just getting getting one of these cars and what's involved and I think that's going to be really interesting but the driving feel of this thing is great I love this little set of bend it sort of nice nice bit of everything even on the dance if they're absolutely instantaneous if you've not live in a PDK before you need to kill yourself so portuguese didn't go for ancestor on because they're very very good oK you've got the noise it never ceases to amaze me how quickly they get these types of cars to change gear but when you stick it into the manual box almost this card changes its character from being you can quite happily mooch around in in full auto and just drive it like it's an SUV and routes to the shops sticking in the sport box and it suddenly becomes a completely different car and it had this lovely sporty feel about it so what I need to do now is basically put it into Sport Plus mode as well and give it a spanking I need to get this car on a track and imagine it's an amazing car on a track certainly have their kind of sports car character more 911 than 4x4 and I've waited a very long time to drive on the cam for the first time and it's not disappointing me at all it's absolutely beautiful and that gear change of my dimension that a few times but super the break6 Thomas - so at this is my mate Chris welcome to Petra Petra thank you very much thanks we're here let's keep very much for arranging this car today now the reason that the Chris and I kind of had a chat about doing this video is because the business that Chris is in is a huge interest to me and probably most of you so in a nutshell what do you do so so I run a company called 4c prestige with obvious under Michael in essence webhead roads and we all about trying to get the best car for somebody's body so the body is a cash budget whether the budget is a monthly figure some other whether 200 a month 1,500 a month or 500 1000 20 was the best car you get really particular when's the best time to buy and sell again yeah absolutely I mean you cars we know depreciate heavily so you know we quite often against bike you yeah but buying it at the right time actually the total cost of ownership is not always as bad as people may think yeah point to note this beautiful McCann yes so let's have a chat about about this car because we've kind of put it through its paces and it it's a stunning stunning motor I mean it's beautifully spent so let's have a chat about that's kind of yeah I mean this is kind of car I mean honestly this particular car with this kind of car yeah I mean SUVs very popular sports cars for a problem yeah so it's inevitable that sporting SUVs we're going to get married together yeah and sometimes that's been done well sometimes badly this very much as a case has been done very well indeed probably my favorite to date yeah but you know a lot of people won't necessarily have the budget but for a GTS although need Kaname Vin Diesel's dunking diesel SUVs around as well yeah but these cars are real sweet spot had used hold their value better than probably most other cars on the road yeah the tools mechanically talk about the numbers or figures for a car like this the thing in this car any car new will depreciate with the exception of a very small number of form of new cars a week we supplied a number of two-year-old mccann diesels you know to clients and they're just hitting that point in their life cycle where they're they're dropping of this new help they're very brilliantly working a lot of the diesels were with where heaven expect when you are sitting at 16,000 and now in there in the forties and in some case received in their mid to late 35 on a low rate finance you could be talking you know a figure of under 500 of that and therefore their bank really from that point once PC if you get a comedy car announced on a fourth Agra quit a month you probably and then most people look on their 3-series Beemer or a c-class or something don't probably think about McCann or you know something it exactly exciting the sounds like well yeah because we burn in the fuel just just to hear that so we know noise you know that's a big people you can make a finance packs with very attractive the front end with the total cost of ownership and say nope looks good yeah wants to have the back in what happens money to jump out yeah when you buy used your money didn't in a much safer place because you're not a risk that massive whole episode drop in the first 12 to 18 months their loved you come and that's where you can get in something a lot nicer you look at in ever two year old car versus a brand-new so it'll come to you and say oh I've got autumn oh I've got ten thousand quid that I could use as a deposit and I've got a budget of four or five hundred pounds a month what can I get I think what we would always look at is what do you need the car to do is it is it work is it family cause it's a play yeah and then you're going to look at where is it when sweets walk in the cars life cycle yeah do they want an SUV levels on the sports car yeah they're one pixel income and then we look at what other cars that can really maximize that cost job get their sports club in a billion SUV and what are the really good ones you know there's there's always sweet spots of above a particular marketing yeah we're sitting one of them now the Macan you know the LDA q5 and sq5 equally very just come back right I'm here as a really smart q5 that goes past an esky five mil we supplied a number of clients sq5 they wanted McCann's but then budget wasn't quite stretching to McCann's what we said was walk walk by and buy an esky find out from that and in two years time change in early and get into McCann and you probably get one for the same money yeah which is interesting cos of 0 vs q 5 of us q5 recently some funky please be careful absolutely mega car very similar feel to this I mean their nails sq5 enough started late twenties and so finite of them is it in the threes are a monthly cost whereas McCants high forms the absence of deposit but you know tremendous value you're you're still looking at a carbines sq5 you Spanky's in the 60s yeah so to get one of those I'll get a few years old the circuit three hundred and eighty pounds a month phenomenal these kids Emily and what I have really interesting talking to you Michael about what you guys do is unlike Garrett you see I always get the feeling of Garrett just wants to get you in a car get get the Commission and that's it you know and maybe see if servicing in six months time you guys work with clients for a longer period of time so you kind of almost put a plan together of what happens with the next a schism my worry with finances you organ if you buy it badly the PCP finest especially you end up with a car you want to think balloon payment you don't have enough equity in the car and you're in big trouble you guys kind of always think about what's happening in to yeah because that's how we got it for ourselves yeah and then it's you've done it for yourself it's easier to have that mindset yeah and our businesses really spawned out of a love of cars and seeing that the market didn't operate that way it's very much once you make your purchase you kind of on your own alright yes you a negative equity well you know tough so we are we trying to do it differently and we try and look at the client as as the customer not selling them a car and then and then be done with them yeah yeah and that's where we do DISA and we try and work with them and you know what it is quite often we acting totally weird with spending less because they we can actually get the right car and they don't need to spend the amount we thought it would take and if that makes sense for them to do so them will recommend let's do that ah time for my final impressions of this car guys my half this happy it's made quite an impression on me I think it's an absolute cork I mean this particular car is so beautifully spent has so many different options on it but it's this kind of combination of things it's a it's a hugely practical car you could mouton it quite happily but when you stick in Sport+ you go to the PDK flappy paddles it just transforms itself into a into a sports car with kind of more 911 feeling and it's absolutely amazing how they get cars like this to do and if I was certainly to compare it with it with its kind of peers that I've driven recently the valar and the sq5 I think comes out on top to me there's not a great deal I don't like about this car to be honest and it certainly got more poke and performance than the valar and I just think it has a more special feel than the sq5 nice as those two cars are but yeah I really really like it so I need to answer a few
