Renault Scenic 2017 360 degree test drive _ Passenger Rides

The New Renault Scenic: A Well-Thought-Out MPV with a Touch of Quirkiness

As I entered the 360° passenger ride video for the new Renault Scenic, I was excited to explore its features and amenities. The exterior design of the car is certainly eye-catching, but it's the interior that truly sets the tone for the driving experience. Apart from the portrait star screen available on Dynamic S models and above, the interior doesn't quite live up to the excitement of the exterior. However, the star screen itself is a pleasant surprise, offering a simple yet effective user interface that can also be customized with driving modes and personalization options.

One of the standout features of the Scenic's interior is its heads-up display, which pops up to raise your eyeline from the seat and provide additional information on the road ahead. While it may not be as high-tech as some other cars in its class, it still serves a purpose well. Additionally, the cubby features in the console are quite nice, with a sliding panel that provides ample storage space and a woo glove box with kit that's both functional and stylish.

Another notable feature of the Scenic is its ability to fold down seats without crushing them. This can be done from either the back or the boot, but unfortunately, it cannot be done while the car is in motion. However, this feature can be enhanced with the addition of Lane Keeping Assist, which will steer the car back on track if you drift off course. The Scenic also boasts a full five-star Euro NCAP safety rating and comes standard with Auto Emergency Braking with pedestrian detection – a first in its class.

Under the hood, the Scenic is powered by a 1.2-liter turbo petrol engine that produces 130 horsepower. While this may not be the most powerful engine in its class, it's certainly sufficient for everyday driving in urban environments. For those who prefer diesel power, there are options available with 110 and 160 horsepower outputs from the 1.5-liter engine. The Scenic's handling is also noteworthy, being slightly better than that of the Citron Grand C4 Picasso but not quite as composed over bumps as the Volkswagen Tane.

One of the most impressive aspects of the Scenic is its standard specification – it comes with 17-inch wheels designed to provide a smooth ride despite their larger size. This is particularly notable compared to cars in its class that are often saddled with smaller wheels on lower trim levels. Overall, the Renault Scenic strikes a fine balance between being quirky and practical, making it an excellent choice for those seeking a well-rounded MPV experience.

As I continued through the 360° passenger ride video, I found myself increasingly impressed by the Scenic's features and amenities. It may not be the most exciting car in its class, but it certainly offers a unique blend of functionality and comfort that sets it apart from more mundane alternatives. As I navigated the various sections of the video, I couldn't help but feel that the Scenic is an excellent choice for those seeking a well-rounded MPV experience.

If you're looking for a car that can handle both urban commuting and family road trips with ease, the Renault Scenic may be worth considering. While it's certainly not the most powerful or technically advanced car in its class, it offers a unique blend of features and amenities that make it an excellent choice for those seeking a practical yet comfortable ride. With its impressive safety features, spacious interior, and smooth handling, the Scenic is sure to please even the most discerning drivers.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enwelcome to a 360° passenger Ride video in the new Renault Scenic this is the five sea model oh let's go before the French trying Crash Into Me There we go right so all new car interior wise yeah not as exciting as the exterior apart from this portrait star screen there which is available on Dynamic s model and above it's quite nice to use actually I do think it's relatively simple it's not the fastest system on the market to respond but on the whole quite nice and easy can also change my driving modes and go for personalization yes darling okay too much of a faf let's go sporty because that's what everyone wants in an MPV right not this car's also got a heads up display can you see it there it pops up there so it's not a real high-tech one that you get on things like BMWs but it's it's all right it helps raise your ey line from down here and you got digital dos actually if you notice this car has some nice cubby features here as well look at this this console slides and there's loads of room in it and check out this woo glove box with kit in it brilliant so you know on the whole it's quite a well quite a wellth thought out car one of the other features I like see if I can do it all driving without crushing right so if I can get to where is it menu I'm trying to explain this to you so basically this car has seats which you can fold down a press a button and you can do it from the back from the boot or you can do it well you can't do it while you're moving I'd press that button then i' be able to select the seats press them and they'd fall down if the car was stationary but obviously it's not and I'm weaving around the road and actually to prevent you weaving around the road you can get this car with Lane keeping assist and it'll steer it back on track for you it also has a full five star Euro incat safety rating and as standard youve got Auto emergency braking with pedestrian detection that's the first in this class to drive well this is the 1.2 L turbo petrol with 130 horsepower and it's you know it's got enough um if you're just driving round Town 1.5 L diesel will be the pick for me 110 horsepower you can also get a 130 160 horsepower 1.6 L diesel but they get a little bit more expensive gear shift yeah typical Renault rubbering us Autos they're so so as well to drive this car well it reallys to be quiet apart from you get a bit of wind whistle up there the handling is okay it's a bit better than a grand C4 Picasso the Citron but not quite as shooted or as composed over bumps as a VW Teran this car is actually riding on 17in Wheels but Renault has specifically designed special tires for it with a thick sidewall so it's not too bumpy like you'd expect on a car riding on 16s not 16s 20s sorry like 20in Wheels I mean it's insane that this car has 20in wheels as standard right across the range I mean that is quite impressive on the whole though you know it's a fairly decent MPV I think Rena have done quite a good job and this car's a nice happy midpoint between the quirky Citron and the slightly boring yet ruthlessly efficient Volkswagen tan now I can't really find a place to stop maybe this will do maybe this will do there we go I can pull over into my end piece see got to stick to the format Matthew got to stick to the format even if it means pulling into a dogger site right there we go so if you enjoyed this video please like it share it and do all that kind of stuff and if you click up there on the on the pop out Banner you can watch more video content on this car thanks for
