My Favorite Gift - Bulova Automatic Mechanical Silver and White Pearl Dial Bracelet Watch

My Favorite Christmas Gift of 2010: The Bulova Mechanical Stainless Steel Watch

As I sit down to write this article, I am excited to share with you my favorite Christmas gift from 2010 - a watch that has been a constant companion for me over the years. This is not an unboxing of an Apple product or an electronic device, but rather a watch that holds a special place in my heart.

The watch I am talking about is the Bulova mechanical stainless steel watch. It retails for $650, but can be had for under $500, making it an affordable luxury item. I have been wearing this watch since 2010 and must say that it has become an integral part of my daily life. The watch features a square shape that I tend to like, and the exposed mechanical mechanism inside is both fascinating and beautiful.

As we take a closer look at the watch, we can see the stainless steel body with titanium accents. The face itself is crystal clear, allowing us to see the intricate details of the movement. The bracelet is made of stainless steel, and features mother-of-pearl inlay on top. The second hand is red-tipped, while the hour and minute hands are white-tipped and filled with a glow-in-the-dark material. These features not only make the watch visually appealing but also provide functionality.

One of the most interesting aspects of this watch is its automatic mechanism. It uses a counterbalance or counterweight to charge the spring, which keeps it powered. The movement can be seen moving around inside the case, making it possible for us to see the inner workings of the watch. This feature not only makes the watch more appealing but also provides a sense of satisfaction when you know that it is running smoothly.

However, there are some drawbacks to owning a mechanical watch like this. One of the main issues is that they will run out quickly without movement, typically lasting only a few days. Some people buy cases with built-in mechanisms that move the watch periodically, but I personally prefer not to bother with such arrangements. Instead, I have learned to appreciate the simplicity and beauty of the watch as it is.

The stainless steel band has already had five links taken out to fit my hand comfortably, and features a folding clasp that opens on two sides when pressed. The logo is made of stainless steel, adding to the overall aesthetic appeal of the watch. Overall, I am thoroughly impressed with this watch, and I am grateful to have it in my collection.

As I finish writing this article, I would like to take a moment to thank all of you who have been following along with my journey. I have recently completed an unboxing of the Pioneer VSX-1020 cave AV receiver, which I will be sharing with you again soon. However, I am eager to complete the setup and share my final thoughts on this device. In the meantime, I would love to hear from you - what is your favorite gift that you have received in recent years? Please feel free to share your stories in the comments section below.

Thank you for reading this article, and I look forward to sharing more content with you in the future.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhey YouTube this is Detroit borg and this video is going to be a little different for me it's not an unboxing of an apple product or an electronic this is my favorite Christmas gift of 2010 this is a watch this is the Bulova mechanical stainless steel watch it retails for $650 but you can get it for under $500 this is something I asked for something I wanted and as you know I've been wearing this Kenneth Cole stainless steel square-shaped automatic wrist wash you can see right through it the mechanical mechanism on the inside and basically it's automatic so automatically winds itself just by shaking it there's a spring in there and a counterweight let's see if you can see it moving around in there no but there you go you can see it moving around in there and basically the movement charges the spring and it keeps it keeps it going this is same with this watch so let's just crack this open and there you go it's very similar in design this is square shape I tend to like that design if we take a really close look at it again you can see the exposed mechanical so it is an automatic watch again it uses a counterbalance or counterweight to charge the spring to keep it powered now they face itself is crystal and the body is stainless steel and titanium the bracelet itself is stainless steel and you can see actually mother-of-pearl inlay on the top and you can see the red tipped second hand along with the white tipped hour and minute hand and those are actually filled with a glow in the dark material so if we take this out remove the pillow and just to take a close look at the timepiece you can see the curvature of the glass and the thickness of the timepiece you can see I really like these broad smooth surfaces on this side you can see the adjustment mechanism so basically in order to adjust this you just have to pop it out you have to kind of get your fingernail under here it can be a little tricky so there you go you can see it pop down and now you can adjust it as you want leave it like that of course on the back you can see the automatic mechanism inside and you can see just like the Calvin Klein timepiece you can see the eight inside which charges the spring and see it moving there now the only drawback to these timepieces is they will run out pretty quickly they only last maybe a few days without movement so some people do buy cases that actually move the watch to keep the the mechanism charged but I I don't bother with that but otherwise you can see right through it which i think is pretty neat again this is a stainless steel band I've already had five links taken out to fit my hand and it has a folding clasp so basically it opens on two sides so if I push the button it opens up like that stainless steel and the ball of a logo let's go ahead and put this on there you go and just to let you guys know I will have a follow-up on the Pioneer vsx 1020 cave AV receiver unboxing I did over a week ago now I have been waiting for a few components to complete the setup so I can do a complete demo and I should have that up by the end of the week already guys this is Detroit Board with a look at my favorite
