**Unboxing and Review: Asus Monitor**

I'm very happy with my other Asus monitor, it doesn't beat Apple Cinema displays quality and color reproduction, and the accuracy of the colors obviously. I mean, the Apple Cinema display was a lot more expensive than Asus, but this is exactly like the current Asus I already have, except this one might be a little better. The back looks better, yes, I know, the back really matters. You know man, I'm a design freak.

**Mounting the Monitor**

Get that out of the way here we go. Let's Mount this in real time, let's open this up, take it out. Gotta love that plastic sound and I know I'm out of the frame. I apologize but I'm trying to get more of this in than myself that's the important part of this video. Oh also while I'm here for the next week or so comment below if any videos you want to see since I'll be around the pets I don't know if you want to see videos of Hunter or jasm or anything like that.

**The Stand**

Very nice once I get this mounted, I'll get a closeup of everything. Well I don't know about too close but we'll see. Let's flip this around so the bigger side is facing me. The stand's not bad looking it's nice and simple. Oh wait I'm going to have to mount it upside down because there's a screw involved so yeah right here can't see it but there is a Twist screw which is nice cuz that means you do not need any tools of any kind.

**Features**

So now twisting this in place there you go it's pretty light. There's the front very wide I love it. I just ripped the sticker off on here I'll come around and show you features ow I'm tripping over the Box obviously full HD 1080p um 50 million to one high contrast ratio htcp support two Ms response time which is awesome oh and Trace free so that makes me think my current Asus display has a uh ghosting problem which which you can fix but it resets itself every time you turn the monitor off so hopefully this does not have that.

**Controls**

We do have Smart View which I'm guessing is a wide angle cuz my current Asus display is not good at that at all but we'll we'll see how this performs in a future video. And there you go, all right. Now let me uh green this closer and show you guys nice closeup here we go. Uh we do have the controls power button on the bottom. Uh we do have the input selection button settings menu uh I think that's brightness or contrast or maybe both.

**Connections**

And then sa screen something not sure I'll figure it out afterwards then down here in the corner we do have HDMI and on the back the most important part because without the back this definitely would not be possible. We do have connections for VGA DVI and HDMI as well as headphones which is interesting I don't think I'll ever use that.

**Pivot**

And of course we do have your power connector that's definitely required unless you are creating your own energy source of some kind. This does pivot very nice now let's pull off the back, pull off the rest of the plastic and I will let you guys go but first before I do let me get into some details of how I won this on H QuiBids well I won it by bidding.

know I'm in Jersey which is the next state over so it literally shipped like overnight insane so why do I need this monitor well okay first of all where am I I'm actually in my old bedroom as hard as it is to believe I mean this this kind of gives it away the closet but I got to you know give my mom prop she did an excellent job of transforming my old bedroom into this awesome scrapbooking room I mean perhaps I'll do a tour in a future video but it's complete guys it looks amazing I mean it looks really really good anyway that's beside the points I know some of you are going to ask where I am and this is where I am my old room so it's really really good to be back cuz I'm I'm like here for 10 days or so since my family is in Florida on vacation at Disney World and some kind of work convention my dad has to go to so I'm here to watch the pets so my next two videos will be from this house anyway now that that's out of the way today's video is all about this monitor now you're probably asking David why do you need another monitor well because well one I was kind of having fun bidding on I was like you know what I really could use this and well because two coming from number one uh the way I'm going to use this is I'm redoing my gaming setup in my office at home my real home not not here my new house I'm going to take off my Xbox 360 for my current Aus Monitor and put it on this one put this Aus monitor on the piece of furniture I have to the left where the two drawers are it's like this table thing so I'm going to have my 360 over there this over there I'm going to have my capture card still right there inside my Mac Pro since it's close enough I can run the HDMI cables right there it's like 2 ft away this way I can game on my own monitor now and still have my two other displays freed up for my primary use when I'm doing Twitter graphic design web design video editing anything like that so let's get this unboxed gu I'm using pink scissors actually there's got to be something better some kind of BL my mom is tons of tools seriously there's like seven pairs of scissors right here obviously for each one's for different use mom where do you keep a blade I should have been prepared you know what let's just try this again oh these are thinner there you go these will work and by the way this is an update I'm less than pleased with my ashtro 50 headset in terms of voice commenting the microphone is kind of blah unfortunately I half expected that because it's not really meant for that it's meant for also I mean awesome game audio which it is awesome for that do not get me wrong the sound quality is amazing especially when when uh playing Modern Warfare just hearing the guns in your ears it's really really good so no I will not be returning or selling my Astro A50 but because I got this monitor I might set up my audio techga at2020 USB microphone on that mic standand I have and put it to the side of me that way it's not in the way when I'm using the computer because if this new gaming setup works out then I could get back to using you know an awesome microphone uh cuz I've been using this blue Blue Snowball mic which is awesome as well I actually prefer it over the at2020 but it's certainly better than the U Astro A50 okay enough babbling let's get this B thing out of the way your little manual and yes I know this is going to be be a very long unboxing but I'm excited and I wanted to explain to you guys where I am in my tech life right now cuz it's a very exciting time I can't I can't believe I'm actually going to have a dedicated giving setup in my office outside of my living room it's going to be sweet okay so there's the manual you do get a VGA cable which I will not be using you do get a DVI cable which I will not be using I will be using strictly HDMI which they do not include but that's normal for them to not include it uh but I have like four or five HDMI cables at home that I'm going to use not all of them obviously but two of them for input and output on the card then for the monitor itself you do get a stand it's a little heavy now taking out the styrofoam by the way I'm very happy with my other Asus monitor it
