Hey Everyone: This is David AR Franco with a Squarespace tutorial coming at you directly from Squarespace Summit over at espac summit.com. So, in a previous tutorial, we walked you through a pretty basic process of how to set up and sell Amazon products directly within your Squarespace website.

Now, as mentioned previously, if you want to make some revenue from said product, you will need to link your unique Amazon Associates tag to your Squarespace account. We promise you, doing this is incredibly easy and it takes just a minute. So, to get started, like most of our tutorials, let's enter into the usual content manager view by pressing the Escape key on our keyboard.

Then, let's enter into the settings view by clicking the gear icon in the far left side barar and then let's click on General. And now, right down here, right about in the middle of the menu, we have the option to include our Amazon Associates tag. Now, Squarespace describes this as follows: when adding Amazon items to your pages, entering your Amazon Associates tag allows you to collect revenue for the items you sell.

All right, so in other words, this is an excellent way of earning a small commission for the items that you would normally recommend on Amazon. This is incredibly useful and it's a nice way of making a living if you're really into affiliate marketing. Okay, so as you can see, I currently have my Amazon Associates tag included called Squarespace Summit -20.

And now, by default, Amazon requires that you have that number on the end. Unfortunately, you have no control over that, but still, with that said, if you are unsure of how to get your Amazon Associates tag, you first must sign up with Amazon Associates by going to affiliate-program Amazon.com or to make it easier just simply Google Amazon Associates and you'll find the link of where to sign up.

And now, if you look on the very left sidebar on my Amazon Associates page, you'll see that I'm currently using my tracking ID David DeFranco -20. But I'm also signed in as so blow 20 which originally stood for social blog. So, by default, whenever I'm including Amazon products on any of my Squarespace powered websites, my Amazon Associates tag David the Franco -20 is automatically included.

So, heading back over to our Squarespace website once your tag is in place, click save and then that's it. Now, this is a huge huge topic, so we are just scratching the surface of affiliate marketing. Affiliate marketing is just filled with infinite possibilities, so we're not going to discuss it too much. But this is an awesome way of getting your foot in the door.
