I was trying to get some tech done and I just can't seem to catch a break. I've been going around stores looking for specific parts, but it seems like Tech Shop doesn't actually sell the kind of tech that I need. I mean, they had 11 Mercedes Benz on hand as rentals for this week, but I'm not driving any of them. I decided to hitch a ride to a bigger electronic store down the street to see if I could find what I'm looking for.

As I was walking around, I couldn't help but think about how my heritage may be Italian, but I'm actually hanging out with a bunch of Germans right now. One of them asked me if I looked like one of them, and I have to say, I don't know if that's even possible. But hey, being an honorary German isn't so bad, especially when everyone is bragging about their silicon gadgets.

I got back to my hotel and they were in the middle of making up my room. So, I decided to head down to the lobby to kill some time before things started getting interesting. As I was walking around, I kept thinking about how much I take these tools for granted. They work, and as long as they keep working, I'm fine. But it's when they stop working that everything else starts to fall apart.

I did happen to run into an old friend who had wandered off from the party at the Tech Museum down the street. We were chatting and catching up, but then we realized we were supposed to be meeting everyone else for a night of fun. I don't want to show up looking partied out before even starting the party, so that was definitely not on my agenda.

As it turned out, there was going to be beer served at the party, which would have been awesome if they had something stronger than just lime-flavored water. Speaking of which, the orange water in my glass wasn't exactly helping to wash away the taste of the lime, but I knew that wouldn't last forever.

As we walked around, I ran into an old acquaintance who works for Mercedes-Benz at this location. We met up again when I was at Star Wars Celebration a while back, and unless I managed to recover my footage from earlier, you'll just have to take my word for everything that happened.

Eventually, they finished making my room, so I took a break to grab some breakfast. That's when things got really interesting - I put Stormtrooper on top of the bed made out of bacon (I ate it afterwards) and posed him in front of the spinning Mercedes-Benz logo outside the building. It was pretty ridiculous, but hey, that's what happens when you're alone with a camera.

It turns out that my friend had brought along a card that I could borrow to use with my app. The colors on this new card relate to different areas of the world and there are even speakers that can be rearranged to create a life-size "toron". It was pretty cool, but as I looked around, I realized that I couldn't quite see myself in the reflection.

I guess this is where we live - tech can't live without it, but sometimes it's hard to find what you need. Luckily, I had some support from my friends and family who had pledged their loyalty to GeekFam on their website, which will help us keep sharing our adventures with you for years to come.

back up to slav anyway cuz it wasn't being used he's taking advantage of it but now I need it back but I won't be able to get it back until I get back I'm going to need to back up to the backup oh man I really don't like this feeling of having done something and then having nothing to show for it it's kind of like sweating which I'm also doing right now I'll just have to make do which won't be easy
