Pixel 4a unboxing

The Pixel 4a: Unboxing and First Impressions

As I stood in front of me, I couldn't help but notice that I was holding a device that looked exactly like its predecessor, the Pixel 3. The phone is made by Google and has a matte black finish with an accented power button. According to the box, it's supposed to be the successor to the Pixel 3a.

Opening up the box proved to be easy, thanks to the little tape that makes it simple to open. As I pulled out the phone, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and anticipation. The first thing I noticed when looking at the phone was how similar it looked to the Pixel 4. It has all the same features as its bigger brother, including the single rear camera with a 12.2 wide-angle lens and the fingerprint reader on the side.

As I turned on the phone, I couldn't help but notice that it had all the same specs as the Pixel 4. The screen is just as vibrant and the performance is just as smooth. But what really caught my attention was the inclusion of a headphone jack, which was missing from the original Pixel 4. It's a small feature, but it makes a big difference in terms of usability.

Looking at the front of the phone, I couldn't help but notice how much more streamlined and modern it looks compared to its predecessor. The fat bezels that were present on the original Pixel 3 are gone, replaced by a full-screen experience with a home punch selfie camera. This means that you'll get a more immersive viewing experience and better selfies.

But what really sets this phone apart is the software. It's running Android 10 out of the box, which means that you won't find any bloatware or unnecessary apps clogging up your device. Instead, you'll get a clean and pure Google experience. There's also a new safety app, camera enhancements like portrait mode and night sight, and a bigger battery to boot.

I have to say, I'm impressed by the overall design and build quality of this phone. It feels like a premium device in your hands, with a solid weight and a durable finish. And when you consider that Google is including an 18-watt power adapter, which is rare for a budget-friendly device, it just seems like they're trying to give you everything.

Overall, the Pixel 4a is shaping up to be an excellent option for those in the market for a new phone. It's got all the same features as its bigger brother, plus some extra goodies like the headphone jack and improved camera software. Whether or not it's worth competing against itself directly with the Pixel 4 remains to be seen, but one thing is certain: this phone is off to a great start.

And that's where I'll leave you for now. Let me know what you think of the Pixel 4a in the comments below!

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhey so i got the pixel 4a let's unbox it so right in front of me is the pixel 4a made by google and just looking at the box it looks exactly like the pixel 4. i have the just black model and it has the accented power button and yeah i mean according to the box it's supposed to be the successor for the pixel 3a so let's open it up so here you got the little tape here so it's easy to open that was easy and i'm going to open her up and pull that up the accented power button yeah i'm gonna do the favorite part of an unboxing just looking at the phone it looks exactly like the pixel 4 i mean it has a matte black finish right here i'm gonna turn it on and while that's turning on i'm gonna check out the box here we go inside we got the instruction manuals setting up your new pixel got the sim card removal tool it also has an esim inside built-in so that's easy here we got the usbc charging cables also a usb a to usbc adapter and finally google decided to add the 18 watt power adapter which is super cool this is quite rare to have such a powerful adapter to charge up your phone pretty quick that's what's in the box and now let's look at the phone on the outside it looks fairly similar to the pixel 4. you got that single rear camera a 12.2 wide angle camera and the fingerprint reader stays in the middle on the side you got the accented power button at the bottom you got the usbc port but at the top you have a headphone jack it's just quite weird because the pixel 4 didn't come with a headphone jack so in a way this already seems like a big upgrade from the pixel 4. and in the front do you notice anything different yeah the fat bezels that came with the pixel 4 this time around you lose all that you're gonna get a full screen experience and you get a home punch selfie camera and on top of that you're getting a full android 10 experience this is a clean google software so there's no bloatware there's nothing you know that's gonna clog down the phone this is a pure experience you're also gonna get a new safety app and the camera you're also getting a portrait mode and night sight that came with the pixel 4. so overall you're getting a full pixel experience and on top of that you're getting a bigger battery here i mean i feel like the pixel 4a is competing against itself to the pixel 4 rather than the other budget friendly phones or maybe we're foreseeing the new pixel 5. so there you have it the pixel 4a let me know what you think i also like the fact that google is giving you a 18 watt charger on top of all this it's already feeling like a premium device and make sure to check out our full review here on cnn stay safe and i'll see you next timehey so i got the pixel 4a let's unbox it so right in front of
