Ferrari LaFerrari Aperta in-detail at the 2016 Paris motor show _ evo MOTOR SHOWS
**LaFerrari Aperta: A Unique and Exclusive Driving Experience**
As we walk towards the Ferrari stand at the Paris Motor Show 2016, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and curiosity. We've heard rumors about Ferrari's latest creation, the LaFerrari Aperta, but nothing could have prepared us for its sheer presence. The car is actually two cars in one, with a monoposto design that was originally used by David Piper. To make it look like a single seater from a distance, they've added a red seat to the interior.
As we take a closer look at the LaFerrari Aperta, we're struck by its sleek and aerodynamic design. The car's designers have done an excellent job of compensating for the lack of torsional rigidity without a roof, making it just as stiff as the standard LaFerrari coupe. However, they've had to make significant changes to the aerodynamics, including tilting the radiators more upright and redesigning the ground effects underneath the car to channel air under the body rather than over the windscreen. This ensures that hot air is kept out of the cabin, making for a comfortable driving experience.
The drivetrain of the LaFerrari Aperta is exactly the same as its standard counterpart, with 950 brake horsepower and a hybrid system. The sound of the engine will surely be music to the ears, especially when the roof is off. The car's weight has been increased by about 50 kilograms, but this is due to the addition of a fabric roof that can be driven at speeds up to 130 km/h, or a fixed hard top that allows for speeds of over 217 mph in under 3 seconds.
As we step inside the LaFerrari Aperta, we're greeted by a beautifully crafted interior with plenty of bare carbon fiber and a unique square steering wheel. It's clear that Ferrari has paid attention to every detail, from the weight distribution to the aerodynamics. The car is designed to be usable on a daily basis, thanks in part to its low-down torque and lack of four-wheel drive.
The LaFerrari Aperta was built for a select group of customers, with 209 units planned worldwide, including nine for Ferrari's own use. This makes it an exclusive and highly sought-after driving experience, with prices starting at around €1.9 million. Despite its high price tag, the LaFerrari Aperta is sure to be a head-turner on the road.
**Other Ferrari Models on Display**
As we take a look around the Ferrari stand, we notice that there are several other models on display. The 308 rally car, with its bold liveries and aggressive stance, looks like it's ready for action. We also see a 488 GTB, which is sure to turn heads with its sleek design and powerful engine.
The LaFerrari Aperta has certainly stolen the show at the Paris Motor Show 2016, but there are plenty of other Ferrari models on display that are worth taking a closer look at. Whether you're a seasoned car enthusiast or just looking for inspiration, the Ferrari stand is a must-visit destination.
"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enwelcome to the Ferrari stand at the Paris mot show 2016 we've we've retreated to the um calm of us bothos this is the customer area so it's nice and quet and cool in here and we thought we'd talk you through some of the the very cool liveries that are on display we'll get to the LaFerrari AER in a minute don't worry um but there are about five models out there all with particular color schemes and it's it's all for Ferrari's 70th Anniversary so we've got the very cool green one which people recognize a 365 P2 but in the from the David Piper stable who painted all his Ferraris green there's one I particularly love which is an F12 out there which is the Sterling Moss Edition uh in Rob Walker colors the blue with the white paint and the painted sker shield on the side and there's a really cool interior bit of it which looks like sort of almost sort of hammered aluminium or something then there's the Michael schumacker Edition based on his 2003 car the really detailed sort of pinstripe down at the bottom it's got yellow paddles on the back and the thing I really love about that one is the seats uh which any of you remember the F1 C at the time this sort of almost like caramel sort of Alcantara look them which is is very very cool indeed then there's a California out there in a sort of chocolate brown which was uh based on a card bought for Steven mqueen by his wife and in here we've got the 375 mm with the the white with the blue and it's got a particular sort of um the seats are done in something a material that is it's a synthetic Leather So it's uh 30% lighter and it's totally waterproofs too which is good for a spider I suppose anyway there are going to be 70 of these cars you you see some of them flicking through on the screen behind all inspired by a an old historic car and there's going to be only one of each model in each Livery so there will be one California in the the chocolate color for example but there'll also be uh a 488 spider and an F12 but there will only be one of one which is is pretty cool I'm sure somebody's going to want to buy each model in the range in that color somebody's going to want to do that anyway we'll go outside and have a look at the GTC 4 Luso t next and then we'll get to the aperta I promise we'll get to the apera in a minute this is the brand new GCC for Luso D so under the Bonnet where there was a natural sated V12 and you can still buy the natural sated V12 version there's now a turbocharged V8 that might sound like the poal cousin but it's actually got more torque 560 foot of it it's also still putting out 62 brake horsepower about sort of I don't know 70 brake horsepower less than the V12 but they're saying it's going to be more usable every day because it's got low down torque I suppose look under the Bonnet and there's actually um there's no power transfer unit because it's not four-wheel drive it's now just rear wheel drive although does keep the rear wheel stead so yeah it's quite a cool looking thing and I you know there's some people that yeah don't want the four-wheel drive and the V12 and we like to use it every day so it's cool thing right we're going to go have a look at the pera now I said we will and it's just over there okay I know I'm being a tease now but je tot is looking mildly interested in the LaFerrari aerta so we'll just look at this for a second the original car the original David Piper car was a monoposto so single seater and so they've done one of these seats in in red to make it look almost from a distance like it is only a single seater quite cool he's nearly finished we going to have a look so here we are this is the one you've been waiting for it's the LaFerrari aperta they they've rumed it for a long time but this is the first time we've really actually been able to see and feel and touch it all of them been sold obviously that's the first thing to get out of the way they're building 209 of them 200 to go to customers and they're nine for Ferrari to use for I know not what but their own their own purposes so yeah hopefully you might actually get to drive one or something should be be good anyway there's been quite a lot of redesigning going on it's it's not just a case of looing roof off laf Ferrari uh obviously they've got to compensate for the sort of the lack of torsional rigidity of not having a roof but they have managed to do that apparently it is as torsionally stiff as the coupe the standard La Ferrari and they've had to do quite a lot of work with the aerodynamics as well because the way the radiators work in the standing car we getting a lot of heat actually sort of hot air basically coming into the car so you can see there's little strips somewhere up here on the wind screen they've also tilted the radiators more upright and actually redesigned a lot of the ground effects underneath the car uh so the air now channels under there rather than coming up over the windscreen so you got this little thing behind me here to help uh stop all the hot air coming into the cabin as well and keep it sort of nice and not too turbulent the drivetrain well it's exactly the same as the the standard so 950 brake horsepower with the obviously the hybrid system in there as well it should sound amazing with the roof off cost well about 50% more than the standard car but then they're obviously far fewer of them being built so you could look at it as a bargain or not as you as you choose I suppose um that puts it up at about €1.9 million something like that and what else to say wait I did ask about weight as well um the weight is well they usually say it's about 50 kilos more now because they obviously homologated two different versions of the La Ferrari one for America and one for the rest of the world this time they're only homologating an American version which obviously will be sold all over the world but the American version is slightly heavier anyway so it's not just the extra 50 kilos they would normally add roof as standard you get a fabric roof which you can drive up to 130 km an hour uh or you can have a fixed um hard top you do that which will go all the way up to the the top speed of about 217 mph not 62 mph in somewhere under 3 seconds they're not actually quoting it so there we go feels like a very lovely place to be I love all the bare carbon fiber in here and I love the square steering whe as well it's it's a it's a very very cool thing that is the Ferrari stand there's a lot here I know it's been quite a long video but that's the Ferrari stand at the Paris Mo show 2016 let us know let us know if they've missed any of the 70 anniversary sort of liveries and stuff which ones would you like to see I've got a few favorites um obviously
