Karbonn Smart Tab first looks a Budget Android Tablet
The tablet was a Carbon Smart Tab one with a 7-inch screen, not built into the tablet you need 3G dongles and what else, here it says it has HDMI out, 3G sensors for enhanced gaming, and a 2 megapix front-facing camera. Do note that this uh model does not have a rear facing camera and of course we do get a Micro SD card slot you can use that for expanding the memory and uh let's see what else do we get in the Box uh it says the pricing over here is $7,990 but uh I think so you can get this tablet in the market for around 7,000 bucks.
"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhi there this is ranit from Tech tas.com and in this video we're going to have a first look at this budget tablet from carbon and it's known as the carbon Smart Tab I've already taken out the tablet and the charger uh because the tablet was not charged but we'll just have a look at the box and it says Smart Tab and it says it comes with a 1.2 GHz processor and it also says it supports full HD video and if you move towards the back it says that it runs the Android version 4.0.3 that is ice cream sandwich but carbon has released a statement that in J uh September 2012 or so this uh tablet will get the Jelly Bean update and it says that it supports the xur 1.2 GHz processor and it has 5on multi-touch display it's a 7-in tablet and it does support Wi-Fi as expected uh and the battery capacity is 37 m00 aamp and it does support 3G but do note that 3G is not built into the tablet you need 3G dongles and what else and here it says it has HDMI out 3G sensors for enhanced gaming and a 2 megapix front facing camera do note that this uh model does not have a rear facing camera and of course we do get a Micro SD card slot you can use that for expanding the memory and uh let's see what else do we get in the Box uh it says the pricing over here is$ 7,990 but uh I think so you can get this tablet in the market for around uh 7,000 bucks I'll give the link of flip cart so that you can check the pricing and it says carbon mobiles and the name of the tablet that's carbon Smart Tab one and the tablet was here I removed it and what else do we get in the Box I don't think so we have much here in the Box let me take out all those things and we get a carbon booklet uh this is the warranty card in the service centers all the service centers uh in India and we have quite a few actually and we also get a mini user manual about the tablet it's printed in English and it's in color so that's pretty nice so it gives basic info about the tablet how to use the same and we also get this USB cable which is a micro USB to a female USB slot so that you can connect 3G data cards or uh pen drives to this tablet let me keep all these things to the side and let's have a look at the tablet itself this is the tablet and on the top we get a bunch of buttons have a physical onoff button and we have these two buttons one is for the home and one is for the menu and we also have the back button over here and I appreciate it that we have these physical buttons though we can use the touch sensitive buttons thaton on the screen and it's nice to have them and we have nothing over here and moving towards this side again we have nothing on the bottom again nothing and on this side we have actually a lot of ports and uh the first one is for the power uh do note that this tablet does not use a micro USB uh charging slot it used this propriety pen it looks like those Nokia phone charges that we have that pin and that goes over here and we do have a HDMI slot over here and we do get a mini USB uh slot you can attach this dongle that uh this attachment adapter that we get and now you have a full USB slot we have a microphone pin hole over here and here is the micro SD card slot and this is the standard 3.5 mm headphone jack and on the back again nothing else it just says carbon and we do have this small Grill opening for one speaker do not it has just one speaker let us switch on the tablet we have the power switch and as you can see it is the standard stock Ice Cream Sandwich not much of customization has been done by carbon um they did add some of the apps uh but nothing uh much they did add this uh what do you say I browser and some carbon Centric apps like 1 second carbon smart and I'm connected to WiFi and let me just open up the browser I would say the I just tested this tablet for about half an hour or so it's okay it's not the fastest I have seen let's go to Tech to bus and we also get this uh haptic feedback from the keyboard and as you can see it did load the site pretty quickly and kinetic scrolling is smooth uh it's not the smooth test I would say let me do the pinch gesture it does work fine here let us try to load one more heavy website that is in Gadget and it did take us to directly to the desktop version and as you can see does take uh some time to load the website and it did load the desktop version of n Gadget once the site loads it's uh pretty okay I would say the kinetic scrolling is okay and let's try the pinch cure that's also fine it seems fine but not as smooth as what we have seen with other premium tablets it's workable I would say so that's for the web browsing let me get back you also do get this multitasking tray that we get uh with the IC based phones and tablets you can just swipe to kill an application I'll be doing a in-depth testing of this tablets for the next uh couple of days so if you have any particular questions about this tablet do let me know in the comment section I'll try to include those in my review thanks for watching that's it for now this is ranit from tech.com and I hope to see you in my next videohi there this is ranit from Tech tas.com and in this
