The Ultimate Luxury: A Review of the Holland and Holland Range Rover by Overfinch

As I received an invitation to attend a special event at a posh Country Club in North London, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and curiosity. The event was being hosted by Overfinch, a renowned company that specializes in transforming classic cars into luxurious machines. They had sent me a special invitation, dressed in smart attire, which hinted that something extraordinary was about to unfold.

Upon arrival at the Country Club, I was greeted with an offer to engage in clay pigeon shooting. While I wasn't exactly thrilled at the prospect of firing shotguns, I understood the reasoning behind this activity. As my host explained, the pigeons had nothing to worry about, but I should treat it as though it were loaded at all times. I couldn't help but chuckle at the absurdity of it all, and before long, we were underway, dropping cartridges into the gun and taking aim.

As we progressed through the shooting experience, I found myself getting more and more comfortable behind the trigger. My host's guidance was invaluable, and soon enough, I had taken down a pair of pigeons with ease. The adrenaline rush was palpable, and I couldn't help but feel a sense of satisfaction at having accomplished something so seemingly impossible.

After our shooting excursion, we made our way to a luxurious setting where a delightful tea service was being prepared. The host explained that Overfinch's customers don't typically drink PG Tips or Triangle tea, so Clare's was the finest option available. As I waited for my turn to enjoy this exquisite brew, I couldn't help but feel a sense of anticipation.

The unveiling of the Holland and Holland Range Rover by Overfinch was nothing short of spectacular. The car, which had been in development for some time, finally made its debut, and it was clear that every penny had been invested with precision and care. On the outside, the car boasted bespoke paint finishes that required an astonishing 130 man-hours to complete. A new body kit and a choice between 22 or 20-inch alloys added to the overall aesthetic appeal.

But it was the interior that truly took my breath away. The attention to detail was staggering, with hand-carved wood and baby-soft leather adorning every surface. Gone were the standard materials used in off-the-shelf Range Rovers; instead, Overfinch had opted for a more luxurious and refined approach. In the back seat, I spotted a refrigerated cocktail cabinet, perfect for storing three full-size bottles of your favorite spirits. For the first year of ownership, this service would be complimentary, with the company sending their team to refill the drinks as needed.

The boot compartment was equipped with a lockable storage space, ideal for housing shotguns or other personal items. And, most importantly, there was a dedicated compartment designed specifically to hold more booze – a feature that I couldn't help but appreciate.

Under the hood, customers had the choice of either the 3.6-liter turbo diesel engine or the 500 horsepower Supercharged V8. While it may seem excessive for some, I couldn't deny the allure of such impressive power and performance.

One aspect that truly stood out was the interior's attention to detail. Every element, from the heated steering wheel to the box designed specifically for storing guns, had been crafted with precision and care. It was clear that Overfinch had prioritized comfort and refinement above all else.

As I sat in the Holland and Holland Range Rover by Overfinch, sipping my tea and taking in the surroundings, I couldn't help but feel a sense of admiration for this extraordinary vehicle. While it may not be to everyone's taste, there's no denying its allure. As I left the Country Club that day, I couldn't help but wonder if I had merely indulged in something rather lovely – or if I had truly experienced something special.

In the end, my feelings towards the Holland and Holland Range Rover by Overfinch remain unchanged. It's a car that defies conventional wisdom, a machine that prioritizes comfort and refinement above all else. While it may not be to everyone's taste, it's undeniable that this car is something truly unique – a true reflection of its creator's passion for luxury and exclusivity.

As I reflect on my experience with the Holland and Holland Range Rover by Overfinch, I'm left with a sense of awe and appreciation for this extraordinary vehicle. It's not just a car; it's an experience, a statement, and a testament to the art of automotive craftsmanship. Whether you're a seasoned collector or simply someone who appreciates the finer things in life, this car is sure to leave an indelible mark on your senses.

The Holland and Holland Range Rover by Overfinch is a true masterpiece – a machine that embodies the essence of luxury and refinement. Its creation is a testament to the power of human ingenuity and creativity, a reminder that sometimes, it's the little details that truly set something apart from the rest. As I look back on my experience with this extraordinary vehicle, I'm left with a sense of wonder and admiration for its creator – a true artist who has brought together form and function in a way that will be remembered for years to come.

UK at Wembley Stadium and fifth gears Jason Plato took part this year at the start of November the likes of schumacker button gron home and vatel gathered in Beijing for a series of head-to-head races in a variety of motors and after 3 days of battling Audi DTM driver mattius extrom was ultimately crowned this year's champion of champions BMW seems to like making tall cars these days there's the X1 X3 X5 and X6 and now there's another model to throw into the mix it's confusingly called a five series but it doesn't look like one this is the Five series Grand Turismo it's another one of those crossover vehicles that tries to get the best of several worlds kind of like the way the Swiss Army does with knives it's a vehicle that's part SUV part Saloon and part Coupe and BMW hopes it will deliver a premium feel with practicality comfort and style but who will it appeal to well someone tall for starters because it's got almost as much leg room as a seven series and almost as much head room as in an X5 and the clever packaging continues around the back if you follow this Coupe line the bootle does something very clever it can either be a Saloon or a hatchback and if you want to take a big load I don't know if you're carrying something like a lawn mower then just take this parcel shelf off open up the floor storage it's the perfect shape for it and in you go very practical so it'll be a good limo and sitting in the back makes you feel like you've upgraded from economy to premium economy particularly with features like reclining seats where you can do useful things like work on your laptop or read a newspaper if you buy the top speec executive model then this middle seat is replaced with a sort of Bureau so you can use this car as a mobile office can I drive now please that's better now this car comes with three engines the most powerful of which is the twin turbo 550i this however isn't it this is the entry level 530d for diesel but it is the same 6-cylinder 3 l diesel engine that's in the 330d and it is an absolute Peach it's got 242 BHP and 400 lb foot of torque which is more than you get in a Ferrari F430 which all goes to help this car hit 60 mph in 7 Seconds which is pretty impressive considering this car weighs almost 2 tons it comes with an 8speed automatic gearbox 8speed I've never driven a car with that many gears but wait till you he how many clutches it's got 1 two three four five five clutches but they all work harmoniously together to give you a really silky smooth acceleration and as for the gear changes themselves well they're almost done in secrecy look I'll show you put the gear lever over to manual go down a couple of cogs third gear so accelerate hard flick up to fourth gear nothing the only way I know that I've got another gear is because the revs dropped ticking the new technology box is a system called brake energy regeneration which basically means that when I take my foot off the throttle the power that the engine is still producing gets sent to recharge the battery and over the long term that will save you fuel as it is this car is pretty fuel efficient doing 45 MP gallon on average the ride height is about halfway between a regular 5 series and an X5 so it's no tarmac sucking sports car but it is so well balanced and so well poised through the twists that it handles better than some sports cars it also cruises brilliantly with a ride that's not too dissimilar to a 7 Series as you expect from a BMW the interior is well laid out and the switches and the DS are all beautifully made the standard level of equipment is good but as always you're going to have to pay extra for the really fun stuff £920 for the headup display £25,000 for the media pack including a satellite navigation system and Bluetooth and £300 for the sideways facing cameras that help you see out of Junctions then there's the 300 rear-facing camera that is essential because that clever boot design doesn't allow for much visibility so providing you don't find the GTS looks too awkward the biggest problem is the price this 530d is the cheapest in the range at 41,000 a similar 5 series Saloon is6 Grand cheaper so are you just paying for more rear leg room well no because this car is also striking to look at it offers executive levels of luxury it is incredibly practical and it's got perfect Road manners it is a mixture of Motors but it's got all the best bits it is BMW's Swiss army knife we rather like Range Rovers here at fifth gear and so it seems do an awful lot of other people which is why there are plenty of companies that specialize in customizing them the latest to be launched is very special indeed so we sent office boy Graham in his best threads to take a look today I've been invited to the unveiling of what I'm told will be the world's most luxurious Range Rover the Holland and Holland Range Rover by overfinch they sent me a special invitation very nice time me to dress smart cash which so to put me in the right frame of mind I've been offered the chance to do some clay pigeon shooting I don't think the pigeons have got much to worry about to be honest so most important thing of all safety okay treat it as though it's loaded at all times okay and if it doesn't go off I'll take it off you and sort the problem out so it's like a firework if it doesn't go off Don't just run back to it just keep it pointed out in front and I'll take it off you sort it out it's a bit more dangerous than the firework is it yeah so I'll drop cartridges in we're going to close the gun up nicely into the cheek and the shoulder at that point finger on the trigger pull bang or bang bang kill your birds of course off we go again yeah that looks easy marvelous marvelous well done killed a pair two down I'm right past keep going keep going you're just going to come gently up and shoot it little birdy legs Daddy marvelous old boy Daddy's present will never be the same again thank you very much after some light violence a chap who's really serious about high-end luxury wants nothing more than to sit down and have a good Brew but overfinch customers don't do PG tips not even triangle ones so we're being served tea from clares supposedly the finest tea in the whole of London Town and then came the unveiling of the car described as the ultimate allpurpose All Season luxury super car for the better you can't really argue with that to most petrol heads talk of design usually revolves around making cars lighter and faster so a car like this that's had so much effort devoted to completely
