Huawei and it has really nice specifications it has a 3.8 in 480x 8800 pixel display the price is only 14,000 rupees and you can get for about 12 122,000 rupes in the market the Huawei ideas let's quickly go ahead and unbox this device and then we'll quickly review this device for you guys so first and foremost in the Box you get the Huawei ideas you also get you got a quick start guide a warranty card and a safety information booklet you got a standard AC main charger which has a USB port on one side and you get a USB to micro USB data cable you also get a very generic looking handre kit which has an inline microphone and a push button to send in end calls and uh We've tested the audio quality and it's uh decent we won't call it really good but it's just normal there's also a 4GB micro SD card which is included in the package so that's everything from the box let's go ahead and take a look at the devices this ladies and gentlemen is the Huawei ideos uh on the top over here is the earpiece which is really nice and clear very loud earpiece on the Huawei ideos you also have a bunch of proximity sensors and ambient light sensors below that you have a very nice very Vivid uh high resolution 480x 8800 pixel 3.8 in multi-touch capacitive display which is very very responsive below that you have four touch capacitive buttons the standard Android buttons the back button the menu button home button and the the search button on the right hand side of the device you will find absolutely nothing and on the top here you will find a 3.5 mm Jack and the power lock and unlock button on the left hand side you will find the volume rocker on the top over here and on the bottom you will find the microphone hole micro USB charging as well as data syncing port on the back of the device you will find the loudspeaker along with an LED flash which is uh right next to the 5 map autofocus camera which does video recording at 720p on the back of the device and around you have this really nice rubberized finish uh this gives the device a lot of grip in the hand and it makes the device feel really good uh you also have a 1500 Mah hour battery pack along with the micro SD card port and the SIM card port in the back of the device without further Ado I'm going to get into the user interface on the huawe ideos so this is the lock screen of the Hua ideos you get your network information along with your date and time information and the standard uh Android 2.2 slider uh sliding from from the right hand side will uh mute or unmute the device and uh sliding in from the left hand side would unlock the device this is your main home screen uh you get uh your standard visitied home screen you get five panels in uh the Huawei idos X5 you can jump from one panel to another by tapping on the bottom dots over here uh which is fairly convenient you also have the standard Android notification panel which will give you all sorts of notifications along with your missed call information your email messages uh jumping into the full menu you get a standard pullup style menu interface over here which can be customized according to your requirement by installing some exterior launcher uh we have this device connected to Wi-Fi but before that we're going to jump into the dialer this is a standard Android dialer really nice and large uh dialer buttons you can also go into your contacts your call Locks and your favorites directly from the phone dialer uh the earpiece and the microphone on this device are really very responsive and clear so you won't have any problem problems using this device uh to make phone calls let's quickly jump into the internet browser and jump to our favorite website which is .in Ure load the mobile uh site nice and responsive browser as you can see kinetic scrolling is very smooth even though the website is not loaded you can scroll through it and uh go to whatever uh required post that you might want to read we'll switch to the that the display is really clear and the audio is also very very loud and clear we're really happy with the multimedia capabilities on this this device very fast and responsive device uh very nice display uh we going to quickly jump into the messaging panel over here and make uh show you the keyboard this device comes with stock swipe installed so you don't need to install swipe from the Android Marketplace this comes with the swipe keyboard pre-install so really nice s keyboard which comes being installed you can also switch uh to the standard Android keyboard by jumping into that and I'm going to jump into quadrant and quickly run a full Benchmark of quadrant this device scores a 1381 in the quadrant Benchmark score one thing that we would like to tell you is that roting this device was fairly easy uh by installing a simple application uh called Z4 root or Z4 root whatever you like to call it uh you can simply root this device and we managed to install Cogen mod onto this uh so boot up this device in recovery mode and uh install Cogen mod uh ROM on this and show you the scores of the Cogen mod so guys we've uh booted into Sagen mod uh this is now upgraded the device to Android 2.3 uh we're going to quickly jump into the about screen and show you that as you can see this device is running Android 2.3.4 now with the latest version of C engine mod okay so we're going to run the quadrant Benchmark while in signagen mod and show you the result of that so this is increased the score to about uh 1531 uh average score about, 1550 so this definitely improves the overall performance of the device even the bench mark scores improve and uh you also get This brilliant lock screen now every time you lock this device it you'll get the Nexus S Type uh lock out so that's something that is also very brilliant for a device of this value uh we really happy with uh the fact that this device can be rooted and Canan engine mode can be installed onto this I'm going to quickly load up Raging Thunder and show you the gaming performance of this device a this is a very nicely built and very solid uh device and uh we really happy with the audio quality from the speaker
