Android App of the Day - GTasks

G Tasks: A Simplistic yet Practical To-Do List App for Android

Hey guys, it's David from Unlocker.com and today we're showcasing an app for Android called G Tasks. Today we're going to talk about an app called G-Tasks why I have this app is because I'm sort of forgetful, I also like to flash ROMs, wipe my device, and basically just start over and over and over so I didn't want to have to do that with my to-do list because frankly if I did a to-do list wiped my phone and then tried to do the to-do list again I would have already forgotten what was on the to-do list so this app solves that problem.

Now, how does it do that well? It is a basic to-do list but what it does on top of being a to-do list is it syncs with your Google account and it syncs with the Google account that's set up on your phone already so whenever I log into my Google account on the phone I re-download this app say after wiping my data it automatically syncs back up and all of my tasks are back. On top of that great feature, it is very simplistically styled which works well when you're doing a to-do list and you have lists and tasks and things that you need to go through quickly and you're not concerned with crazy animations and stuff like that you just need to get stuff done.

So here you can see I have things that I need to do tomorrow uh and you can also set deadlines by the way which we'll show you in a second uh within the next seven days and then these are the things that have no date. You'll also maybe notice that there are colors next to some of these and reason being is that you can set up different lists say you want a list for work a list for home a list for your football team whatever you can set those up as different colors and either display them all here like this or when you swipe see the lists individually.

Now, as with any basic to-do task list um you do have the option to actually click on them to look at them or tap on the little check box or check mark in order to say that you've done them then they go down here and they're crossed out. Okay, in addition to looking at the tasks themselves you can actually click on them and go into the task view and in here is where you can write and change the task then you can also tap up here and set a reminder uh or a due date or both uh you can even set it to repeat and that kind of stuff so that's pretty practical.

So, on top of all this practicality the app itself is pretty smooth performance is pretty snappy. Also included with the app itself is a widget so you can scroll and there's different sizes for the widget we're using the regular one you can choose font size the color all that fun stuff I'm just going to save so I see it and there's your widget with a list of all of the tasks that are coming up. You can also tap on it to launch the actual app which is convenient obviously because you can see all of your to-do list stuff and if you put your calendar next to it all your calendar stuff as well in one quick glance.

There you have it, a quick um app of the day so here is G-Tas. It is available in the market for free simply search for GTass and you can install it it should work on pretty much all versions of Android haven't seen it not work on even a tablet or any other version of Android besides the one I'm using here so enjoy also, it does have ads just so you know although they're not intrusive so they don't really bother me but if they do bother you there is also a four dollar version that just removes the ads so up to you enjoy.
