Interview With Vrvana CEO Bertrand Nepveu

In this morning session, we discussed various aspects of our work in the field of augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR). We began by flipping through pages of our show and exploring some of the interactive features that we've been working on. One of the exciting features is the ability to create opaque objects, which can be useful for various applications. Our team has also been working on a new type of object that allows users to transfer and match objects, effectively creating a validation process.

We also took a look at some of our previous projects and how they've evolved over time. One of our early prototypes was a virtual shopping experience, which allowed users to explore and interact with products in a fully immersive environment. We were able to create a high-fidelity model that simulated the feeling of being inside a car, complete with transparent surfaces and realistic sound effects.

Our team has also been working on integrating AR into various software platforms. We've developed our own SDK, which allows us to build custom applications without relying on third-party plugins or integrations. One of the challenges we faced was transitioning from AR to VR, which required us to figure out a way to handle alpha blending and other technical issues.

To overcome this challenge, we created a Unity plugin from scratch, which enabled us to seamlessly integrate our technology into popular games on Steam. We've also been working on developing new features, such as motion tracking, which will allow users to interact with virtual objects in a more immersive way.

We discussed the potential for our technology to be used in various industries, including retail and consumer products. While we're still in the early stages of development, we believe that our technology has the potential to revolutionize the way people interact with digital content. We're currently working on partnerships with major companies, including HTC, which will enable us to bring our technology to a wider audience.

One of the exciting developments is our ability to integrate our technology with existing hardware and software platforms. For example, we've developed a way to track users' movements using cameras, which can be useful for applications such as gaming and virtual try-on. We're also working on creating a new type of controller that will allow users to interact with virtual objects in a more natural way.

We discussed the potential price point for our technology, which could be comparable to other popular AR/VR devices on the market. However, we believe that the volume of sales will be much higher due to the vast potential applications of our technology. We're currently exploring partnerships and licensing agreements with major companies to bring our technology to a wider audience.

In terms of hardware, we've been experimenting with 3D printing techniques to create custom components for our devices. The results have been impressive, and we're excited to see where this technology will take us in the future. We also discussed the potential for our technology to be used in various industries, including retail and consumer products.

One of the interesting applications we're exploring is the use of our technology in gaming. We've been working with game developers to create immersive experiences that allow players to fully engage with virtual environments. Our technology has the potential to revolutionize the way people experience games, and we're excited to see where this will take us.

We also discussed the potential for our technology to be used in education and training applications. With the ability to create highly immersive and interactive simulations, our technology could revolutionize the way people learn new skills and interact with complex systems. We're currently exploring partnerships with educational institutions to bring our technology to a wider audience.

Overall, we're excited about the potential of our technology to transform various industries and aspects of life. With continued innovation and development, we believe that our technology will become an essential tool for anyone looking to experience the future of AR/VR.
