The Delicious Brownie Cookies Recipe

Brownie cookies are every bit as delicious as they sound. They're a killer combination of brownies and cookies, and as much as Alex loves chocolate, she is gonna go crazy for these now. I'll start by making the cookie dough.

To make the cookie dough, I've got two sticks of softened butter that go right into the mixer. The second stick goes right in, too. Then, two cups of sugar are added to the mixture. This recipe has all the good things of life, and it's an easy one to follow. Now, I'll just turn the mixer on and let it work for a minute, creaming these together.

You know when you make brownies, you have to let them cool and cut them into squares. But with cookies, you can just bake them up and pull them right off the cookie sheet. They're an easy way to get brownies in your mouth. The butter and sugar are all creamed together, which is what makes this dough so good.

To continue making the cookie dough, I'll turn the mixer to the lowest setting and drizzle in the chocolate. This is what makes the brownie cookies brownie cookies now. I use bittersweet chocolate, and it's really important to let it cool completely before adding it to the mixture. If you don't, once it hits that butter, it will start to melt, and it will just ruin everything.

Now, this is looking great. I'm just gonna bump up the speed a bit okay? That's all mixed together now. I'll go back down to low and drop in three eggs, one at a time. I've already cracked them into the pitcher just to make it easier to add. The third egg will be added next, followed by a splash of vanilla to give it delicious flavor.

Now, I'll move forward with the dry ingredients. With 2 and 1/4 cups of all-purpose flour, I love these 2 cup measures; they're so handy! To really drive home the chocolate part of these brownies, an additional tablespoon of cocoa powder will be added if that wasn't quite enough. These are unmistakably chocolaty.

A teaspoon of baking powder and half a teaspoon of salt will complete the dry ingredients. That's it for now; I just need to add the dry ingredients without adding too much at once or I'll have a big poof of cocoa flour. The rest of the dry ingredients go in alright. Now, that's the last of it; all I have to do is give it a couple of seconds to mix all in.

Looking at the mixture now, it looks delicious – exactly what you want at this stage. I've just got to get the dough scooped out and onto the cookie sheets. With the cookies scooped out, all 36 of them look delicious already; that's how many I should get from this recipe. Now, I'll bake in a 350 degree oven for about 11 to 12 minutes until the time is up and the cookies are all poofed and set.

After baking, I took the cookies out of the oven, let them cool for a couple of minutes on the pan, and then transferred them to wire racks. After that, they were cooled completely; it was the final step before I could sprinkle them generously with powdered sugar. And that's exactly what I'll do. I think these brownie cookies will be the perfect thing to satisfy Alex's sweet tooth.
