Sony A80K OLED Google TV 4K 120 and Insane Sound

The Aatk Television Review: A Breakdown of its Features and Performance

After spending some time with the Aatk television, I can confidently say that it's a solid choice for anyone looking for a high-quality display. One of the first things I noticed was its peak brightness, which is rated at 615 nits. While this isn't the highest on the market, it's still more than enough to handle most viewing scenarios. The native brightness, however, is slightly lower, ranging from 280 to 300 nits, which may be a bit dim in certain situations.

That being said, I didn't find the brightness to be a major issue, and the TV does manage to produce very clear images even at lower brightness levels. In fact, the content looked quite vibrant and engaging, with deep colors and good contrast. Of course, this is all well and good when you're sitting in a dark room, but if you're watching content near a window or in bright lighting conditions, you may find that the TV's brightness could be improved.

One area where the Aatk falls short is in its native brightness. While it's not terrible, it's definitely lower than some of the other high-end OLED panels on the market. However, as I mentioned earlier, most viewing scenarios shouldn't pose a major issue. The TV does have some impressive features that make up for its limitations, including 120Hz refresh rate and support for gaming.

Speaking of gaming, I was excited to see how the Aatk would handle fast-paced action. And let me tell you, it did not disappoint. Games looked absolutely insane on this display, with crisp, clear images and deep colors. The PS5 automatically connected to the TV, and the game mode was enabled effortlessly. The sound quality was also impressive, with a 50-watt rating that belied its ability to produce truly immersive audio.

The Aatk's speakers are one of its standout features. Sony has cleverly converted the front of the panel into a speaker, which they call Acoustic Surface Audio Plus. This allows the entire screen to function as a speaker, creating an immersive audio experience that's basically indistinguishable from a surround sound system. The TV also comes with two forward-firing subwoofers, which add even more depth and complexity to the audio.

The user interface is Google Television, rather than Android TV, but I found it to be easy to navigate and use. There are quick shortcuts for popular streaming platforms, and the remote feels lightweight and comfortable in your hand. The Sony battery that comes in the box is a nice touch, as well. One of the coolest features on this TV is the Living Decor feature, which allows you to play background music or channels while watching other content. It's a really useful feature that I plan on using all the time.

Overall, I'm extremely impressed with the Aatk television. Its panel delivers impressive image quality, with vibrant colors and deep contrast. The sound quality is also top-notch, thanks to the Acoustic Surface Audio Plus feature. And with its 120Hz refresh rate and support for gaming, this TV is sure to please gamers and entertainment enthusiasts alike. If you're in the market for a new TV, I'd definitely recommend checking out the Aatk.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhey guys oled televisions are becoming more and more popular nowadays and sony's just launched the a80 k series and we're checking out the 65-inch television from that series now they're available in three sizes the 55 65 and 75 and if you guys are interested i'll have links with the best prices in the description below now this is their latest line of televisions while these are not flagship oled panels from the company uh these are right up there with some of the best panels that are available in the market now the display itself in this one is a 65 inch and in all televisions the front about 94.8 percent is the actual display and the rest of it is the aesthetic garnishes including the bezels and the bottom elements and those are also made out of metal and they look really nice and there is no sony branding on the front of the tv and it looks clean because of that the stands itself are also made out of metal and they slot into place it's basically a very easy setup and it takes about two minutes to basically get this tv up and going if you choose to wall mount it some studs are included so you can extend the back holes and have your wall mount on there it can basically sit flush with the wall as well provided you do get the right stand or you buy one from sony the back also has this grid style pattern it looks really nice and modern and all the ports are right there and they're labeled correctly so you do have two ports that are 4k 120 capable and the earc-1 is also properly marked and then you do have your usb ports some analog inputs and some of the other stuff that you're used to on the back of the television now you can hide all of this with a cover that is included and that basically routes your cable through this little hole and everything sort of hides behind and the cable mess sort of goes away now that's the back of the tv let's talk about the front of the tv which is the main aspect the panel itself is a oled panel lg is the manufacturer and it is a 10 bit panel with 30 bit color you do get the new xr engine the bravia xr engine it is an ai engine so you do get a really good amount of a picture of scaling so if you're watching content that is not all the way up to 4k this panel can really do the job and bring that content up now images from this panel are really brilliant and because it's an oled panel it can really dim down the dark sides and liven up the light size it's rated for about 650 nits and some of the picture modes that are pre-configured from the factory looks really good but if you're one of those people who likes to basically tweak around their settings there is an expert mode that lets you tweak out the picture to your heart's content and there's a lot of customization in there so you can get the best possible color there are some modes built in including the imax mode and a mode in which netflix content will automatically show in the best possible coloring that was done by the actual content creators so the producers and the directors of the movie the way they colored it you'll get to see that movie or show on netflix in that particular aspect it looks absolutely brilliant and it automatically does that so you don't have to worry about fixing the color setting the color all of those things again if you don't want any of those things you can go into a expert mode and customize the color yourself but having that feature means that most people can basically have this television out of the box and going almost instantly without needing any kind of picture customization now hdr content looks brilliant of course this is a 10 bit panel and it does support hdr dolby vision as well and dolby vision content looks absolutely mind-blowing some of the low points and the bright points on the panel come out really nice you'll see that in dark scenes things like skin tones which suffer on some panels that they look absolutely clear and crisp on this television and the lighting effects also look great because of the triluminos color technology you'll also find that some of the color aspects the greens and the reds uh the yellows that televisions usually struggle with those come out really well on this panel especially the skin tones they tend to look a little blue on other oleds that i've seen but here they come out really clear and these are the settings that we've seen out of the box without any customization so like i said this panel is rated for 615 nits and in my testing and i've been testing this for a couple of weeks uh i'll find that uh the 615 nits is basically a peak brightness and while the native brightness is somewhere in the 280 to 300 range it seems a little bit dim and if you have this right in front of a window you might find that in certain cases you'll need to see more brightness so because it's not the top of the line oled it does suffer in that aspect a little bit but it is not like it is unusable the brightness is really good and most of the content is very clear but some of the elements of the brightness could have been higher especially if you compare it to some of the slightly more expensive panels that are available in the market now this is a 120 hertz panel and it does support gaming as well so if you do have a playstation 5 which it is basically because it's a sony product it automatically connects and also automatically enables the game mode and if you connect it to this television it will automatically set up a playstation profile and you're good to go now games look absolutely insane on this i was comparing it to a qlik that i used personally and in comparison some of the elements in the games including the colors they look absolutely brilliant including in games that have not played for a while and i was recently going back into so red dead redemption for example looks absolutely insane on this along with ghost of tsushima which is a game that i've played extensively now sony's done something really interesting with the sound and the sound is rated for about 50 watts but what sony has done is converted the front of the panel into a speaker so they call it acoustic surface audio plus and it basically converts the entire screen into a speaker it actually feels like there's a surround sound setup in front of you it does have two big size subwoofers that are also forward firing so it converts the entire screen into a speaker and the sound effect from that is kind of insane when you're setting up the tv for the first time it'll actually map out the room uh that you've kept the tv in with this little configuration in the beginning so that it knows what kind of sound effects it's going to send at you and then once you're actually using it you do get that surround sound coming through in most cases for most people the sound from the speaker is going to be more than enough for you and you will not need a special home theater system because the audio is actually that good it is as good as a home theater system of course you're not going to get the kind of vibrations and the acoustic effects that you will get with a dedicated sub on the floor and some satellite speakers but you do get a really impressive audio out of the box this television also has something called voice zoom 2 so if you are watching content that is more voice focused you can enable that and get a lot more focus on audio or spoken content versus ambient sounds or music or things like that of course you do have dolby atmos along with dolby vision like i mentioned so you do get all of those audio capabilities and surround sound capabilities as well now the user interface is google television and not android tv so you will see that you do get the new user interface along with some of the new menus it's actually really easy to navigate through and it's basically your good old google television you can control it through the app as well and uh the remote is also really nice and it has this really nice texture on the back you do have some quick shortcuts for some of the popular streaming platforms and it's really easy to use it's lightweight and you do get a sony batteries in the box as well i wish sony was selling these separately but they're not one really cool feature is the living decor feature that's what we have actually playing in the background this has various modes with the audio which is where the speakers sort of come in if you have it playing on that mode say you're having a party at your house and you want something going in the background you do have sakura chill beats as a channel option in there as well so and some other really cool features built in and i have to say that is one of the coolest features on this television and in my tv i'm going to have that on at all times overall i'm really impressed with this television some of the features and the capabilities especially the panel the picture quality the image and the kind of colors that it is able to deliver and sony is known to make really good televisions so this one is no different if you guys are interested i'll have links in the description below if you have any questions or queries i'll try and answer those in the comments below let us know what you think of uh the aatk and uh this has been i'll see you guys in the next one youhey guys
