"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enadam savage here in my cave i got to spend a week on the set of ghostbusters afterlife watching them bring this movie into creation and it was so amazing and while i was on set i made a beeline to what you would imagine is one of my favorite places on any movie set and that is the props trailer yeah i was very lucky that my friend ben edie is one of the prop makers for the film and gave me a detailed tour of many of the hero ghostbusters props i even got to look inside them and see some of the latest prop making techniques they were using at the same time as this group of really true ghostbusters fan were hewing to the original ghostbusters aesthetic ah those bucketless material ben you're the one here who has your hands on some of the more iconic pieces yes that are your dream job within the original franchise and also there's some new pieces of those iconic pieces um you want to take me on a little walk through some of the things i i'm like i'm beside bishop i'm keeping it together but it's it's like every it's like anybody that tries to put this on i i challenge him do it and not smile oh my god here let's start with the detachable wand because you know if it's upgraded you need to be able to deal with the wand separately right oh wait a minute wait a minute before we pulled out that i just i'd like to take a moment here i'm i'm noting some already some changes yep uh there's a wooden handle yeah different it's a shotgun yeah pump shotgun pump from that's different than the plastic that was out here initially everything else looks really really canon yeah tape those military tape is is different oh my gosh does this um yeah oh of course it does so this one's been used a little bit so you got to be a little baby in a little bit go ahead man of coursejust wait until we plug it in it gets even more fun that is beautiful is this all aluminum yes it is oh cool yeah we've got rubber ones but uh yeah you got a hero exactly it's actually like a piece of jewelry okay let's break out it so phoebe's pack has been upgraded by egon in many different ways here if we could close that litter you got some help there there you go right oh man and let's attach the wand oh no way really yes so that does it oh it does oh look it's lighting up right so here's one thing's kind of neat though is the fire button you ready yeah so vibrates and everything but the girl we have mckenna couldn't hit the trigger properly yeah so we had to do a quick little impromptu and there's a little tiny trigger hidden up underneath there nice we can't give away secrets like that come onbusted just tested not busted now i might have drooled some saliva on this jason i'm sorry about that so i can't talk to you anymore i'm sorry god dude no this is it's so beautiful it's like a piece of just it gets even better in here and this was all by request by jason really yeah because there's some scenes that require a little more detail in the startup okayi noticed a new switch over here that's new well how about you hit it really yeahno a mechanical cyclotron yes dude i told i can hear it all right so one thing i'm going to do here is i'm going to turn it off yeah and we're going to put it into a different mode so you can start out slow and then it'll slowly creep up into full-on oh isn't that awesome oh i love it i love the sound yeah oh my gosh it's gonna i mean it must give the actress an incredible much more yeah level of tactility to these pieces oh for sure oh wow i'm going to make the assumption you want to see inside yeah i do so let's just i see i'm i'm running grooving on all these improvements so there's this uh all this wiring here this is an entirely new tube am i right ah or at least the top is something the top slightly different i appreciate the ghostbusters one correct a lot of work went into that i can't even imagine i have a couple of myself i appreciate all the new strain relief these are really nifty yep yep uh this loom here is entirely new yes yeah yeah oh my gosh it's gorgeous yes oh it's so beautiful love this dude it's so gorgeous this bar graph is delightfulmanand this is all hand prop room they did an awesome awesome job on this they really did okay so let's just take this away from the motherboard look at that i love it so much yes you have a little commutator ring in there yes exactly wow yeah and originally it was just spinning normally uh we had the acceleration thing so we upgraded with the little motor controller and the rc that was one of my little added touches to to get things working the way we needed them to show properly yeah yeah oh my god it's gorgeous oh i just love it oh so cool very bright super bright yes yeah yeah yeah this looks like a real clipper valve am i right it is oh man some of them like the rubber stunts you know you don't want hard things for people to land on so they're all rubberized and one thing that blows me away even to this day and i've done it myself is a good paint job and like you can't tell if it's steel or not until you pick it up and you're like it's like picking up the milk that you can't see the container and you're like i love that i love that yeah all right pke meter oh whoa so a few things be oh go ahead my first question is i'm very familiar with uh silver paint added on to look chipped but this looks like you actually chrome coated this and then painted it black and chipped it so that was done by iss and i believe they did chrome paint that is amazing they are they're working oh they're it's like there's there's a reason why they're so big yeah it's beautiful beautiful work this looks incredible oh my god that is a sexy little switch right there yeah there's an on off switch on the very bottom nope all right but now you got to go ghost hunting so you got to look for something all right do i push a button no you just got to move it around all right ohthat isthat feels really awesome i mean from my standpoint i'll bet the actors are having a blast with these things oh they are they like running around and figuring out which one of their friends is bad or good and i i get to chooseit's a nice tactile that's laser cut yeah yeah exactly oh so you're gonna have a whole lot of fun with this and you can change the the brightness and dimness of the uh the lights is handled by some of the buttons here that one that one shifts the animation i see nice right and then one of them will handle how bright it is so if you're in a dim lit area and it's overpowering things you can bring all the lights down a little bit right yeah so it's when you build the functionality into the buttons that are already part of the prop it's just i always i just admire that so much me too and it also again it's like more more immersion for the actor it's not like everything's fake and i have to pretend it's real oh exactly exactly it does real things yeah exactly okay you said this is an extra feature on that right well let's let's grab the one that actually is covers that okay i'll turn this guy off hereso you're always going to have an insert shot right and ghosts can be tased what they can now so if you're like this yeah right now the the red button on the bottom of course it's a dummy one yeah but just give her a little nudgeand then you have the arcs that's what those little nubbins are yeah i was wondering because i saw them i noticed them on that i'm like those aren't necessarily canon what is that yeah and that and you have one of these that i'm sure that's actually practical because yes and it's it's it's terrifying the resistance of air is 10 000 volts per centimeter yeah and that's uh 45 000 volts i would guess and wait a second hold on i'll tell you exactly how many here hold this no problem there we go let's see here first enemy i'm not going to shut up well done one two well let's that's uh or do you don't have centimeters there how fast canadian 45 four and a half centimeters 45 000 volts yeah or you got like what inch and three quarters yeah yeah we can convert i love it that's amazing it's awesome here's where it gets really kind of so you get you see the ghost and you can take its picture no oh my gosh oh but you've got the trap and then the warning and the flash right down to the like the very last details you know wow that's beautiful and the way the way it works on camera oh my god it just like it was everything in my ability to not bristol laughing oh my god it's awesome wow oh it's so prettyoh my god i have castings of all of these pieces in my collection well we're gonna have to add some little pieces to it okay all right this is gorgeous use a real camera yeah so you come in to the back stand right here right there yeah okay okay you put it in and then you hit this and we're gonna have to make a run for it okay ben's gonna have to go so oh last bit go go go all rightthis is a fantasy camp right here\n"
