Razer Man O' War Wireless Gaming Headset Review!

My Experience with the Razer Man O' War Wireless Gaming Headset

I've had the opportunity to test out the Razer Man O' War wireless gaming headset for an extended period, and I'm happy to share my thoughts on this product. In total, I've spent around 10 hours using these headphones, and while they didn't quite meet my expectations in every aspect, I was still impressed with their overall performance.

To be honest, I was a bit skeptical about the battery life of these headphones at first. With a maximum of 15 hours on a single charge, I thought it might not last long enough for extended gaming sessions. However, I've found that turning off the RGB lights can help extend the battery life even further. While I didn't push the limits of the battery life extensively, I did notice that they lasted around 10 hours on average over the past month, which I believe is a very good benchmark.

One aspect where these headphones truly excel is their comfortability. Despite being a larger headset, it's surprisingly comfortable to wear for extended periods. The ear cups are padded with soft materials, and the headband is designed to distribute the weight evenly, making it feel lightweight and easy to wear. I've worn these headphones for several hours at a time without feeling any discomfort or fatigue, which is a testament to Razer's attention to detail in designing comfortable headsets.

The audio quality of the Man O' War is another area where Razer has made significant improvements. While I haven't heard better sound quality from any other headset, including those with higher price points, it's clear that these headphones have been designed to deliver excellent sound reproduction. The bass response is deep and satisfying, while the treble is crisp and clear. Overall, I think the audio quality is top-notch for a gaming headset at this price point.

The microphone quality is another aspect where Razer has made significant improvements. While it's not perfect, I've found that the mic picks up my voice clearly and accurately, even in noisy environments. The mic test that Razer provides in their software allows you to adjust the settings to fine-tune the sound quality, which is a great feature.

Now, let's talk about some of the cons. One area where these headphones fall short is their build quality. As plastic headsets, I'm worried about the longevity of the life cycle with these headphones, especially if you're rough with your products or tend to throw them around. Additionally, when I rotated the drivers on the headset, I could hear a faint sound, which wasn't ideal.

Another con that might be considered a minor issue by some is the aesthetics of the wireless receiver. The design is functional, but it's not particularly visually appealing. When the receiver is plugged into your computer, it can feel a bit awkward to have a large hole in the case where it was previously housed.

Overall, I think the Razer Man O' War Wireless Gaming Headset is an excellent option for those in the market for a new gaming headset at this price point. With its excellent sound quality, comfortable design, and user-friendly interface, these headphones are sure to please even the most discerning gamers. While there are some minor cons to consider, I believe that the pros outweigh them significantly.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enwhat's up guys I'm random Frank p and today I'll be bringing you a review of one of the most highly requested reviews on my channel by popular demand we'll be taking a look at the Razer man of war wireless gaming headset I've had it for about a month now and I figured I can bring you guys a full review on my thoughts and experiences with it in case you're interested in picking these up or if you're just in the market for a new wireless gaming headset these might be your next option now the Razer man of War comes after a pretty long drought of headsets from Razer so for $169 we're going to find out if it's worth it first off just taking a look at the headset itself I'd say the man of war is like the perfect love child of the Razer Kraken pros and the Astro a50s they have that same Grill style that we're used to with the Kraken lineup and then the headband is very similar to something we'd find like the Astro a50s but Al together it looks pretty solid I think it's a NIC looking gaming headset but it doesn't really matter what matters is the comfortability the sound quality and the mic overall right so in terms of comfortability the headset overall I would say is kind of a medium weight but once it's on your head it feels very light and that's helped out by a few things first off the headset is highly adjustable so it could fit a wide variety of heads even I usually keep it on one of the lower settings because it is kind of like on the medium side so it fits very well and that's also greatly due to the fact that the clamping pressure on these is damn near perfect it's not too tight it's not too loose and it feels really really great also on the 50mm drivers they have these very very soft and cushiony like a faux leather ear pad here just absolutely very very soft and the headband up top there's not too much padding but you're not even going to feel really the headband on your head since it is more lightweight and it's plastic up here uh not too much pressure on top also to give you uh you the best fit possible the ear cups do kind of rotate a little bit probably around 90° so they can lay flat around your neck if you're into that and the ear cups also do tilt probably around like 15° inward just to give the best fit possible for when you're wearing them then real quick taking a closer look on the bottom of the left and right ear cups is where you'll find most of your volume controls and the buttons there then also on the left hand side is the retractable microphone which is very flexible so you could fit it you know wherever you want in front of your mouth to pick up your voice the best and when you uh press in the microphone button you can mute it and it'll let you know by glowing red so it's a pretty cool feature overall and don't worry I'll give you a mic test in a little bit so you can see how the mic sounds or I guess hear how the mic sounds either way you know what I mean now judging the sound quality of the Razer man of war was kind of difficult for me because for the past probably around close to a year or two now I've been used to using headphones when gaming I'm just used to very high-end headphones overall on my channel when I take a look at you know audio file grade drivers so judging a wireless gaming headset was kind of difficult for me cuz my ear is just so tuned to those other headphones but after my time with it I'd give these a solid 7 out of 10 which is pretty decent considering it is Wireless I didn't hear any interference there wasn't a lot of you know like buzzing or anything like that which you usually hear in the background when there's complete silence pretty solid overall in the razor synapse software you can do a few things one is change the lights on the side of the drivers if you're into that because yes they got to appeal to the RGB fans out there which I think is kind of pointless having lights on the ear cups but hey if you're into that there there you go it's there if you want but also in the synap software you can go in change the eqs and the presets and also enable their like razor 7.1 surround sound to give you that emulated experience like I said hard for me to judge gaming headset quality uh but I found it pretty pretty good overall definitely better than some headsets I've tried out there that are around $200 and upward and I always keep the presets and EQ all at stock and on St stereo to get this the best natural sound quality without any you know unnatural interference and bumping any of the settings there are 7.1 surround sound um it's gotten a lot better over the years with how they they tune the software and stuff uh so it's definitely usable but I'm not a fan of it like I said I stick to stereo and now battery life they boast a 14-day battery life if you're using them for two hours a day so they say two weeks no not not two weeks at all I've gotten probably around 10 hours total out of these and if you turn the RGB lights off you can definitely extend your battery life even more but I didn't use them really for long sessions days and days at a time it would be like 2 hours one day 1 hour the next day then 3 hours the next day and I found on average over the past month I think around 10 hours total would be the most accurate for my time with these and that I think is very very good like I said I've tried other gaming headsets out there that have a higher price point worse sound quality and much much worse battery life these I think are pretty decent and before we move on I'll give you that mic test right now so you can hear how the microphone sounds this is the mic test for the Razer man of war gaming headset completely unaltered and unedited audio here but in their software you can go in and change you know the ambient background pickup the mic level to adjust it so you can get the best sound quality possible possible and just real quick I am typing and clicking in the background so you can see right now how it does picking up the background sound so now that that is over I'll give you guys the kind of overview and my final thoughts and experience with these I don't usually give you know ratings when I do reviews or scores but I feel like all across the board these are going to be like a 7.5 to an 8 out of 10 uh I think the mic quality is it's okay I've heard a lot worse and I've heard some being better but for the price point I kind of expected you know a little bit better sounding mic quality out of them but you know it's it's definitely decent enough and it's going to be fine if you're just playing with your friends online Etc overall audio quality I think is pretty good definitely one of the best in their Razer product line I think so great job on that and comfortability was going to just you know round out that solid eight out of 10 score I'd say uh there are a few cons I do want to mention uh first is since these are plastic I'm kind of concerned for the longevity of the life cycle with these if you're rough with your your products you're very careless if you're throwing things around which people do I'm not too sure how the plastic headband style is going to hold up over time and I don't like the sound when I even just rotate the drivers on the Yol now I get it's plastic and I get you're going to have some audible sound with moving them but that doesn't really make make me uh doesn't make me feel good when I'm spending $169 on these next is kind of just a visual Aesthetics kind of thing with me but where the wireless receiver plugs into your computer uh it's it's housed right here when you're not using them so when it is plugged into your computer there's just a a a hole here H I think H I don't know I'm not a big fan of it but uh that's probably going to round out the two cons for me I think overall like I said solid eight out of 10 and for pros overall pretty good sound quality um I've heard better but I haven't heard better in terms of Razor headsets out there which is a good thing going for it knowing that this is the best headset available if you're a fan of Razer uh the mic quality was pretty decent as well comfortability with these is absolutely great one of the most comfortable uh headsets that I've used out there for being a rather larger one overall and then lastly I think they nailed the ergonomics of the buttons there's no crappy useless macro buttons that some headsets have that I've tried out the buttons are very you know user friendly they're they're simple there's only three buttons there so you know what they are you know right side is going to control your music volume or your game audio and the left side with the mic is going to control your mic audio very simple so I would recommend these I keep saying it but I think a solid 8 out of 10 would describe these perfectly so if you're in the market for a new gaming headset and you have $169 to spend the razor Manore is a solid investment and it is I'm going to say it's it's the best headset that Razer has put out thus far so guys that'll wrap it up for my Razer man of war wireless gaming headset hope you enjoyed if
