The Performance of a 2 GB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 772 Card in Modern Games
It seems that this game exceeds more than 2 gigabytes of vram even with most options reduced so I decided to go for a mix of options and hope for the best despite exceeding the limit. I was able to achieve a 60 FPS average by using a mix of high normal and a couple of low settings along with limited AI, there will be some moments of slow down with that 60 frames per second sometimes being cut in half.
I will avoid any extra graphical options with dirt for my current favorite racer High settings are easily achievable to maintain a 60 FPS average providing MSAA is turned off. Dirt 4 doesn't really run as well as its predecessors like Dirt 3 and Dirt Rally, but it looks fantastic and performs pretty well even at full HD on this old card.
Ghost Recon Wildlands is a game I've actually yet to test on my own PC, but it seems pretty demanding for a lot of hardware at medium this game at 46 frames per second although it's playable on medium-low settings would mean a closer to 60 FPS experience. But the game looks a lot better at medium in my opinion and for me, the sacrifice in graphical quality isn't worth the extra FPS.
Tech Deals made a video including the 770 compared to a 670 with the game running at low and achieved an average of above 60 another great looking game is Just Cause 3 although a couple of years old now it's still graphically impressive and intensive. With our 2Gig 770 managing an average of 55 FPS with tweaks medium settings as you can tell by that one percent and point one percent low there was some stuttering which mainly occurred around Bill uptown areas with the frame rate sometimes slowing right down.
This tends to happen regardless of the settings moving on to a multiplayer eSports title now, and here we have Overwatch I was actually able to opt for epic settings here and maintain a 62 FPS average. This is unsurprising considering I've had a pleasant experience with Overwatch on a lot of older hardware and it really doesn't take much for it to run out for HD 1080p with multiplayer in mind.
I moved on to PubG here, chose the medium presentence or 56 fps over on this map that being said there were a few hiccups as represented by the 0.1%. I'll figure this game has come a long way performance wise over the past few months though and according to PC gamer who also tested the retail release recently they concluded that the 770 performs on par with the 1050 here Shadow of War was up next, and I found that this is pretty well optimized with 1080p and full resolution scaling.
I saw 54 FPS on average with FX IE and the medium settings. The percentile figures indicate a smooth experience too and it seems that so far, the 2Gig 770 still has what it takes to run most fairly modern games with relative ease.
The second-to-last title of the day is The Witcher 3, a wonderful game that I'm still playing and have been ever since its release. The 2 Gigabyte 770 can handle the medium graphic settings just fine with 48 frames per second but you should expect to see some slowdown in cities like Novigrad where there is more on-screen action including larger amounts of end PCs.
Finally, we have Assassin's Creed Origins perhaps the most demanding game of the day. Medium meant a 41 FPS average and again this was about finding a balance between a good-looking game and a playable one. The point 1 percent low figure indicates some stutter even with my 1070 I experienced the occasional freeze this is an Ubisoft game after all.
To conclude, the 770 is still capable but the 2Gig version may hold you back and cause stutter in some recent releases. You'll likely see similar results to the GTX 1050 gaming wise which means that you may as well buy one of those considering how much more power-efficient that card is. That being said with some 770 selling for almost half of the 1052 price on eBay it's not such a bad way to get into cheap 1080p gaming.
I would say a similar aged card like a three gigabyte Radeon HD 7950 would be a better choice because of the vram but from why I found they are more expensive coming closer to the new price of both the 1050 and 1050 Ti guys. Thank you for watching, I hope you enjoyed this look back at the 2Gig NVIDIA GeForce GTX 772 card's performance it actually surprised me how well this still performs with a few modern games despite that obvious what some may call vram limitation there but nonetheless thank you for watching.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhello everyone and welcome to another video now let's talk about the two gigabyte gtx 770 it can be found pretty cheap on the used market despites 399 dollar launch price in May 2013 by October of the same year its price was cut to three to nine before the launch of the flagship 780 Ti and now you could probably win one in an online auction for less than 100 in both dollars and pounds but should you buy one well let's find out here in the UK the 2 gigabyte 770 is a little cheaper to buy and much more common than the 4 gig version so I decided to focus on that that being said the 2 gig version is more likely to suffer in modern games that use more vram so just how does it do well it's time to see how this old beast fares when paired with a risin 5 1600 which will allow the car to reach its maximum potential let's get into it my aim here was to try a nice combination between a good-looking game and one that performs well starting with battlefield 1
