Hey Guys Today I'm in My Friend Mona's Beautiful Kitchen Now You Guys May Recognize Mona From Some of Our Videos Mona Has Two Kids Gavin Who's Five and Sophia Who's Four Both Super Cute And Today She's Gonna Share With Us One Of Their Favorite Dinners Avocado Tacos I'm Meg And I'm Passionate About Finding Ways To Make Life With Kids Easier In The Kitchen Mona What Do We Need We're Going To Need Some Avocados And Tortillas Panko Bread Crumbs Buttermilk And Olive Oil Garlic Powder Ground Cumin And Some Salt And Pepper All Right So What's The First Step The First Step Is To Go Ahead And Cut Your Avocados I Like To Cut Them In Half Just Doing It Very Carefully Don't Cut Yourself And Then Into Thirds Or Fourths Based On How Big Your Avocados Are So And So You Leave This Skin On A Little Bit Easier To Cut And Then When I'm Cooking With My Kids I Let Them Peel It Oh Those Are Nice Yeah These Look Great And Then You're Just Gonna Put Them On A Plate Separately

I'm Going To Play Okay So How Many Avocados Do You Think You'd Need For Like Dinner For Your Family Of Four Probably Around Three Or Four Avocados All Right Next Step So The Next Step Is Going To Be To Make Your Buttermilk Mixture Add The Buttermilk Into A Bigger Bowl Because You Want Some Room To Kind Of Dip Your Avocados Got It And Then We're Going To Add Some Olive Oil To This And Then Make You Can Do The Panko Mixture Okay So We've Got A Little Panko Japanese Breadcrumbs Yep A Little Bit Of Cumin And Garlic Powder And Half A Teaspoon For This Otherwise The Flavor Might Be A Little Strong Especially For The Kids And Then A Little Bit Of Salt And Pepper To Taste That Look Good Looks Great Okay So Then We're Gonna Grab Our Avocados I'm Gonna Dip It In The Buttermilk Olive Oil Mixture First I Feel Like My Kids Would Love To Do This Part Yeah It Gets A Little Messy And Then Goes In The Panko Kind Of Roll It Around In There And Then Shake Off The Excess And If You Feel Like You Need A Little Bit More Go Ahead And Pat It On Okay Stick It Directly Onto Your Tray You Have To Line It Because You Don't Want Your Avocado To Stick Can I Do One Go For It It's Like This Is The Best Part Very Satisfying Oh Yeah Oh My God My Kids Would Love This So Now Into A 450 Degree Oven For 10 To 12 Minutes Awesome Oh My Gosh These Came Out Beautiful Love That And Mona Has Set Up A Beautiful Looking Taco Bar Here Yeah And I Like To Set Up Everything Like This So That The Kids Make Their Own Tacos And Then They're More Adventurous With Trying New Vegetables All Right So You Warmed Up The Tortillas Already Right Yes Just So They're A Little Bit More Flexible When They're Yummier When They're Warmed Up Okay Awesome Should We Assemble One Let's Do It
