The Story of Our Lives Through Food: A Journey with Anthony Padilla and Ian Hecox

Hey guys, I'm Anthony Padilla, and I'm here with my friend Ian Hecox. Together, we created Smosh today, and we're going to tell the story of our lives through food and then we're gonna eat all of it. You're gonna eat all of it! Yes, I guess we start with first I have to go with the largest thing on here. The bad guy really because I weighed nine point eight ounces when I was born. I was a big baby, so I don't know how much I weighed when I was born. Yeah, well, I mean I was just a real fat baby, so that's why I knew that I'm gonna have to go with this pair cuz this honestly looks like how my face as a baby looked. I had the biggest cheeks, and actually, I think they're still pretty ugly today.

Next up, my childhood. I'm gonna have to go with pumpkin seeds. Pumpkin seeds are weird, don't understand them, and I was a weird kid. I don't think a lot of people understood me, but that's okay. I feel like sure as hell didn't understand you. Yeah, I was a potato, a little potato, yeah, i sat around couching do nothing but play video games. That's me, my teenage years were all about being a couch potato. It's great when it's happening, great when it's eating, but later it just leaves this disgusting flavor in your mouth and you're like ooh ooh that you know. You look back at those old photos, they're metaphorical of the great times I had.

My teenage years were kind of sour, though. It was equivalent to sucking on a big fat lemon. But then came young adulthood, which is where my favorite food comes in – the pink frosted sprinkled donut. This donut is very symbolic of our coming into Smosh. We created it together, and we were just about to turn 18 when we made this video called Food Battle 2006. In this video, we had a battle to see whose favorite food could do more everyday tasks in the other. Mine was a pink frosted pink frosting sprinkled donut, which is still hard to say.

As for me, my young adulthood was all about pasta. I'll sterilize that because of my hair. My hair used to have huge emo flaps, and this image kind of looks like it, but with better imagination, there's more representation of having curly hair. Well, this is what my hair looked like back then – just a broccoli. And that's where my adulthood was until about a month or two ago. I think I'm tofu because I'm really bland and have no personality. But right now, I'm learning how to season myself and prepare and cook myself well.

What are you in the future for? Ha ha ha, it's all metaphorical here. Here is a good coconut, oh man, it smells so good. Stop smelling my future, though, because there's some good stuff inside just like life – we don't know what it holds us, and we don't know how much good stuff is inside there by the way. If you want the good stuff, you gotta work hard for it that's my future alright. My future is peanut butter, which I find delicious. And your future is also delicious.
