**Top 5 Favorite Tech Products of the Year**
This year has been an amazing one for tech enthusiasts, with numerous innovative products that have made my job as a tech reviewer and educator easier and more enjoyable. In this article, I will be sharing my top 5 favorite tech products of the year, including some surprises that I haven't even gotten to review yet.
**Audio Equipment: Behringer IU Forea UMC Interfaces**
For audio equipment, one of my favorite products of the year is the Behringer IU Forea UMC interfaces. These mixers are a much newer product line than the older Xenyx line of mixers that I've talked about before on the channel. The new UMC interfaces come with high-quality preamps and have audio drivers for 2, 4, and HD connections at an affordable price point of around $40. One of the standout features of these mixers is their ability to bring each individual channel into a separate device and Windows as well, as well as serial pairs, which is a convenient feature that's a step above even the Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 interfaces that I previously used. Unfortunately, the UMC interfaces don't have the same DPC latency issues that plagued my previous focusrite interfaces, which drove me nuts for an entire year.
**Headphones: Audio-Technica M50x**
Another favorite audio product of mine is the Audio-Technica M50x headphones. These are high-quality, open-back headphones that offer a great listening experience and are slightly more affordable than other high-end options on the market. The M50x headphones have a reputation for being one of the best studio headphones available, with clear and accurate sound reproduction.
**Lighting: Link Star Roll-Flex LED Panel**
In addition to my audio equipment, I've also been using another favorite product that has made a big impact in my content creation workflow - the Link Star Roll-Flex LED panel. This flexible LED lighting solution is designed for video production and comes with high-quality LEDs that are very accurate. The panel has full brightness control, including bicolored settings for tungsten to daylight modes. One of the standout features of this product is its flexibility and affordability, as it was once considered a luxury item suitable only for professional video production, but has become more affordable in recent years.
**Key Lighting: Link Star Roll-Flex LED Panel**
The Link Star Roll-Flex LED panel has also become my go-to key lighting solution for my webcam and tutorial camera setup. I've found that using this LED panel has greatly improved the look of my face cams, making them much better than the cheap little LED panels I was previously using. The panel is extremely handy due to its flexibility, lightweight design, and ability to be velcroed or taped into place. Additionally, it provides accurate key lighting, which has contributed significantly to the overall quality of my content.
**Control Panel: Loop Deck Plus**
Finally, one of my favorite tech products that I've recently discovered is the Loop Deck Plus control panel. This product is primarily designed for photo editing software such as Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop, but it also offers features like exposure, saturation, contrast, shadows, black levels, white levels, and custom programmable dials. The Loop Deck Plus has made a huge impact on my photo editing workflow, allowing me to quickly adjust multiple parameters at once and making the process much more efficient.
**Conclusion**
Overall, these five products have been some of my favorite tech products of the year. From audio equipment to lighting and control panels, each of these products has made a significant impact on my content creation workflow and has helped me to create better content for my audience. "WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enas a tech channel person I have covered a lot of products this year every year and I don't always get to talk about some of my favorite ones and I don't always remember to round up my favorite ones of the year and I can speak positively about a lot of products but you never know which ones are like my true true favorites that's what this videos forward in this video I'll be covering my top 5 favorite tech related products of all year just period of a couple different categories not all of them I have even reviewed they might see reviews later on in the next couple months but as of right now I haven't even reviewed them all so I'm excited for this let's jump in Plex is the media streaming app that beautifully organizes your media collections and lets you securely access them on all your screens now with live TV viewing and DVR click the link in the video description to learn more as always with these videos I am starting in no particular order so I'm actually just gonna start with number 1 and that is my new mixer my Soundcraft multitrack mt mt k12 you'll see it on screen I'm terrible I always butcher these product names this is a very expensive mixer compared to the ones that I have purchased as it is around $450 u.s. however it has true USB multitrack support unlike the behringer xenyx mixers or the yamaha mg 10 xu or anything like that those mixers only output a final stereo mix by a USB this one is true multitrack which means in the USB driver you have access to every individual audio channel and each stereo pair is a separate device within Windows which means you can assign things to each stereo pair so I have my microphone and then usually a secondary microphone like my wireless laughs running into one and to which I bring in two OBS and into my recordings and use day-to-day track two and three I believe I have assigned I have a my Windows XP computer brought in so I can hear it in my headphones and things like that I know five and six are my discord output which I have set in Windows so I haven't run to discord I don't I no longer need second round cards or extra wires I can just assign you know music and discord and my game sound to things within Windows and not have to worry about a lot of the magnets that I recommend with the cheaper mixers but this thing has been a godsend I'm so glad I switched even though it was kind of a headache bouncing around of mixers a little bit if you followed along with that series I have my original kind of unboxing and impressions video linked in the description but this thing is great number two is also in audio products actually we have a couple audio a few bra do products in this list and that is my sennheiser master op Edition HD 6x X headphone these are the master op variant master op does their variants to make more affordable options of expensive audio equipment all the time this is master ops variant of their 650 s and 600 series headphones which I did review last year and these things are great now there is still an issue of the clamping pressure that I addressed in my original review I am NOT a fan of solid band headphones they sit too heavily on the top of my head they hurt me a little bit and then this one has some serious clamping pressure on the side to alleviate this which I wasn't willing to do on my review unit I've had to bend it out quite a bit and kind of flex the top band a bit and this actually ended up resulting and kind of creasing the top layer of the printed like paper u plastic where the Sennheiser branding is and some of that has actually flaked off as a result and if I go any further I really feel like I'm gonna break something but this is what everyone suggested in the comments and they even said you're gonna feel like you're gonna break it but you won't I got it bent out it is comfortable now sometimes it still gives me a little bit headaches but most people do not have this problem I got so many comments saying I was ridiculous for those complaints on the video that some people think they're the most comfortable headphones in the world but they sound amazing the pads are super comfortable the drivers are higher quality they're pseudo open back so I can still hear things when I need to there's some freaking great headphones all right and I was able to attach the mod mic Wireless to it next up we have the link star roll-flex LED panel that I've got that I reviewed a month or two ago from the time of recording right now this thing has very high quality seemingly very accurate LEDs it has full brightness control you have bicolored for tungsten to daylight I and it is super flexible and it is a very affordable option for flexible LEDs just a couple years ago flexible and LED lighting that was actually suitable for video production was unbelievably expensive and thinks it becomes so much more affordable these days and I have this thing rolled up it looks a little stupid but I haven't rolled up with some diffusion material up above my computer monitor and it is my main key lighting for my webcam and tutorial camera setup and it looks amazing it has contributed to my face cams for tutorials and things like that looking so much better than the cheap little LED panel that I was using and it is extremely handy you can put it in a variety of different situations because it's super lightweight and it's flexible and you can velcro at places or gaffer tape it places and then it is also just a very accurate key light as well it's pretty great I kind of want one or two more but I will have to save that for when I have a bigger budget going back to audio for a second another favorite product of mine this year that I actually haven't gotten to talk about are the behringer IU forea UMC interfaces these are a much newer product than the the behringer xenyx line of mixers that i've talked about before on the channel those are pretty old these UMC mixers are much newer technology they're much newer hardware they come with the lightest preamps which are actually very very high quality you can they all have their audio drivers for the 202 HD 2 o 4 HD 404 HD all of those higher end ones would started just like 40 bucks they all have each individual channel brought in as separate devices and windows as well and serial pairs which is very handy and a step above even just the focusrite scarlett 2i2 but they don't have the crazy DPC latency issues that we ended up in everyone getting static and popping and stuff with the Focusrite interfaces that drove me nuts for all of like 2015 and i finally gave up on them and these are my new favorite mixers or interfaces to recommend and i actually picked up a for review i have the 202 or the 204 HD at the massive 404 HD and then i did pick up the cheaper the like $20 um c2 that one is still a pretty good basic one input interface but the preamp is a little bit lower quality than the bigger ones and the audio driver is much more basic so I'd only recommend that one if you're really on a budget but overall the line is freakin great and they're built really nicely lastly I have the loop deck Plus this is a control panel for your video and photo editing software it's mainly geared around photo editing such as in Lightroom but it has a bunch of different dials for adjusting exposure saturation contrast shadows black levels white levels things like that a bunch of custom programmable dials and a bunch of different profiles and you can have it automatically adjusts for different software so I have it integrated currently into Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Premiere for the luma tree color panel it has made my photo editing so much more efficient like I've gotten through an entire year's worth of photos that I was actually putting off editing due to how efficient I could be with these dials still really learning how to map it properly in Premiere to be most efficient with it and same with resolve but I'm having a great time with it my only complaint is I wish it had the little kick-out stand feet that keyboards have because it's totally flat and it's thinner than my keyboard so it's a little awkward reaching over my keyboard at it but it's still freakin awesome that's been my top 5 favorite tech of this year some of which I have not talked about enough with how much that I've loved it on the channel these things are amazing and stuff that hasn't necessarily come out this year but I've only really just discovered this year and started talking about and
