**Hardware and the Future of Memory Technology**
Speaking of which, you have two more segments on the same story that are going to be great follow-ups to this point. One is AI, and I'm looking forward to it.
Intel and Micron just announced their 3D Cross Point technology, which is supposed to be a thousand times faster than traditional NAND. This new technology promises to revolutionize the way we store data on our devices. We've all heard of SSDs (solid-state drives) as a replacement for traditional hard drives, but what makes them so special? It's not just the absence of moving parts that makes SSDs faster and more efficient. They also have limited read and write speeds, which can be a bottleneck for certain applications.
But Intel and Micron are tackling this problem head-on with their new 3D Cross Point technology. The method of storing data is vastly different from traditional NAND, and it's claimed to change wholesale as a bit is being programmed. This means that the fundamental physics of the entire process is very different from what we're used to in NAND. In fact, data can be written in small amounts, whereas traditional NAND requires large blocks to be erased.
The article doesn't provide hard numbers yet on read and write speeds, but it's clear that this technology will offer something in between the performance of NAND and the cost-effectiveness of traditional SSDs. The catch is that 3D Cross Point technology will likely be more expensive than both options. It's like graphine - everyone's talking about it, but not much has come to fruition yet.
**The 3D Cross Point Technology**
Here are some die shots from the facility where this new technology will be manufactured. As you can see, it's modeled after ancient Roman architecture, complete with lovely pillars in the front. This is a good D on the left and a crappy NAND chip on the right - we call that our "money shot." The article also mentions that Intel claims to have made significant advancements in the manufacturing process, which will allow for the production of this new technology.
The 3D Cross Point technology has been hailed as a game-changer in the world of memory storage. With 10 times the density of NAND and a thousand times the speed, it's clear that this technology is going to revolutionize the way we store data on our devices. But how does it work? According to Intel, the method of storing data changes wholesale as a bit is being programmed, which means that the fundamental physics of the entire process is very different from what we're used to in NAND.
**The Benefits and Limitations**
One benefit of 3D Cross Point technology is that it can write data in small amounts, whereas traditional NAND requires large blocks to be erased. This makes it more efficient for certain applications, such as cloud storage or data centers. However, the article also mentions that this technology will likely be more expensive than both NAND and traditional SSDs.
Another benefit of 3D Cross Point technology is that it offers something in between the performance of NAND and the cost-effectiveness of traditional SSDs. This means that users may not have to choose between speed and affordability - they can get both with this new technology. However, the article also notes that we don't have hard numbers yet on read and write speeds, so we'll just have to wait and see how it compares to existing technologies.
**The Future of Memory Storage**
As we move forward in the world of memory storage, it's clear that 3D Cross Point technology is going to play a major role. With its promise of speed, efficiency, and affordability, it has the potential to revolutionize the way we store data on our devices. But will it be enough to make traditional SSDs obsolete? Only time will tell.
For now, it's clear that Intel and Micron are serious about making this technology a reality. They've invested significant resources into developing and manufacturing 3D Cross Point chips, and they're confident that their technology is the future of memory storage. As we move forward, it'll be interesting to see how this technology evolves and whether it lives up to its promises.
**Paul's Hardware**

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enoffering only the finest and PC Enthusiast apparel awesome sauce shirts are not only threaded they're hyper threaded and come factory overclo get yours today at the awesome sauce store really going through Tokyo I know it's ridiculous at any rate we are streaming live now indeed and Paul's already going for the beer pour we're we're late we're we're a little bit late so we should already be like a beer Deep by now well we we kind of are right so we mean yeah I guess we had we had the traditional pre-show beer that's true but then we should be two beers deep chug this guys we need your feedback uh because we have a new mic and we don't know if it sounds good or bad or we need your feedback on our feedback yeah let us know how the audio is coming in we're using this new mon price mic that uh Paul just got it's centered it's centered right there yeah and uh this should maybe reduce some of the the the gurgly sounds that that uh that I emit from my throat it's usually blamed on Kyle but I actually make those sometimes too just to throat farts will not be nearly as noticeable with this uh microphone hopefully it sounds good but I hear a loop it's looping oh oh stream's not over here Loop bad it's all good we got it we got under control guys buzz and Echo kill all right yeah the echo will go away once the loop is finished it's always weird when there's like a an obvious flaw in the audio like a loop and then and some people are like sounds perfect it's like what's you should probably get your ears checked CU clearly it does not all right that Loop should be gone now all right cool well hey welcome to the show I'm Paul I'm I'm Kyle did you almost say I'm Kyle I did say I'm Kyle you said I'm Paul oh wait you're right wow did you not realize you said I did not realize that I was trying to set set myself that kind of show yeah all right so maybe maybe we should lay off the beer um but welcome to the show if you guys aren't familiar we split the the whole show up into two parts uh part A will be uh for this episode part A will be re-uploaded to my YouTube channel awesome sauce Network and Part B will be re reuploaded to Paul's Channel Paul's Hardware so if you happen to miss the stream or you can't catch all of it and you want to watch it later we'll be uploading the rest of it uh sometime tomorrow so go ahead and check that out and thank you all if you're here live in chat yes yeah thank you for joining us sweet we have a good show um I didn't tweet the show you didn't tweet the show I didn't either because we were late you know things things get uh pushed back so so you you tweet while I uh carry the show that's cool you know back's getting a little sore here carrying all the doing all the heavy lifting but that's no worries uh we've got some announcements here of course we are always selling amazing merchandise in both of our respective stores uh we've got uh my shirts that are selling like hot cakes right now um go ahead and check those out all the ones with quotes on the back those those sexy phrase lines those little catch lines those will not be restocked so if you like what you see go ahead and pick one up cuz it's it's your last opportunity to get one I will not be restocking any of them as far as the awesome sauce network logo shirt and the CPU Cooler shirt which have been doing really well jeez I'm going to turn my phone off right now so we don't think Intel's busting in the door um those will be restocked but uh wrong with my internet but yeah go ahead and pick one up what's wrong with your website they're good they're good what's wrong with your what's wrong with your internet internets um so yeah go ahead awesome network.com store and of course Paul is selling his his usual uh grouping of merchandise he's got a lot of cool stuff these new shirts new shirts with his uh classic thumb screw logo one I'm wearing right here very awesome uh shirts and of course mugs if you want to use the very same uh glass or we have mug mug and glass that we that we drink out of on the show not the exact physically same ones but the they have the same logo and everything that would be weird those are available in the store yeah and uh cheers to you guys prints cheers comes your lip by the way I'm drinking some Kirkland India Pale Ale Kirkland's like the Costco brand um but it's actually quite tasty for an affordable price this is still leftover for my bachelor party it is we're still going through Kyle's leftover bachelor party beer because we're weak sa apparently we did not drink nearly enough there um one other thing is that we'll be hollering out Johnson yes because that's a thing that we do right if you guys happen to buy a shirt or any other merchandise during the show so feel free to to do that and uh we'll have lots of fun we'll be hollering Johnson's all night long dude we just got a Johnson just right off the bat what from Angela really yeah awesome Johnson to you Angela thank you so much good old Johnson that's fantastic that was that wow that was like zero within moments zero lag I was not expecting uh KY Angela AKA AKA Kitty she just got the pub glasses so cheers Angela thank you so much cheers I hope they match well with the with the mug she has a mug too nice all right cool uh so um I guess the other thing that I wanted to say is a big congrats to a fellow Tech youber of ours um he does a great show called pimp my PC it's actually such a great show that we decided to rip it off and that's that's how he came up with uh pimp my PC um his show Pimp My setup has been doing really well on his YouTube channel swashing TV I've never Google searched Matt Philly before and there he is look they're all pictures of him see what images come up some of them are even drawings U but Matt Philly our our good buddy and pal who does Pimp My setup has just hit 50k subscribers on YouTube so big congrats Matt you're doing great keep killing it brother and uh and many great things to come for you and your channel absolutely you know when I so the we're also streaming for the first time using the orange streaming system that I buil oh nice uh which fingers crossed is doing okay so far um but yeah Matt congratulations I'm just all distracted today but anyway um what were we talk about I just saying a quick congrats to Matt okay and that uh I love ripping off his show every week yeah we're going to do that on our show yeah we are we're going to do it in a few minutes um but let's move on to our first segment actually why don't you go go ahead and blow up Matt's Twitter because you know on his show my P my setup he always tells his special guest to like or he tells his audience to blow up his special guest Channel with a bunch of explosives explosives and other words uh so why don't you go ahead and check out Matt Philly on Twitter it's Matt Philly p i l i e and tweet him hash flamingos are the devil flamingos are they're very dangerous yeah flamingos are the devil go ahead and tweet that to Matt Philly right now everyone blow up his Twitter I want to see him crying because he loves flamingos so much he does love flamingos he's got he's really got a thing for flamingos have you checked your store lately CU we we have more wait how's this happen how did an order come in before Angela's order this like 10 more uh uh Nicholas what's up man thank you so much Johnson to you sir as well as Peter Nick and Peter good job guys uh we got some we get we got logo shirts and Pub glasses and all that good stuff excellent I I hope you guys enjoy the merchandise uh we try to make sure it's high quality and remember if you buy a shirt from my store you'll get twice the Johnson as as the one you that's why I did I Kyle did allow me to do that last week I had double Johnson's uh in order to you never go full Johnson well you can I guess you can all right so uh let's move on to our first segment of my half of the show which is to fund or not to fund uh this is where we take a look at some uh crowdfunded campaigns and decide whether or not they are worth our precious dollars uh do you want to back this type of thing why or why not we kind of go over uh that whole that whole ordeal so the first thing I that caught my eye today on kickstarter.com was the E1 4k camera it's a compact almost pocket sized uh 4K UHD camera that uh they're really pushing to be used with drones but you could obviously use it like on a steady cam as well or just for like a regular film or just shooting Outdoors Vlog stuff uh but it looks really great I'm not sure if this video that they shot was shot with it that would be cool that would be a good that would make sense that make sense if they're trying to promote their product exactly to use their own camera that they're trying to sell um but uh obviously they're trying to say like look we're way better than the GoPro and stuff like that um but just a few things about this oh we got a Johnson hey Johnson hey Johnson Johnson uh double Johnson actually got one Johnson from a Rodney thank you Rodney very much I love you rodne I actually know Rodney personally oh he is my future father-in-law well wonderful Rodney will be my father in like eight days just or giving your future father-in-law the Johnson we have a very close relationship a traditional marriage thing when when you get married weddings are so modern now we don't we break the the whole uh formality uh and we got another Johnson from Kevin thank you Kevin so much for picking up a CPU Cooler shirt a good Johnson to you sir good job absolutely uh oh wow third Johnson triple Johnson is that is it turkey Johnson turkey Johnson it's a turkey let me know if this mic's popping too much guys we got the pop fil pop filter there it's impossible to pop the mic with the pop filter filter's out all the pops Tina hey Tina it says you're peeking a lot Kyle all right we could I will I will dial the Johnson back a notch uh we won't go quite to 11 we'll we'll take it down to 10 I could also like turn the mic down just but thank you Tina for picking up another CPU Cooler shirts really appreciate it uh but you're shipping it to Samuel a gift a gift for maybe your boy toy it could be a Johnson gift the gift of Johnson the gift that keeps on giving keeps on keeps on johnsoning all right what were we talking about talking about your first segment that's right my first segment sidelined you mean my first Johnson okay um all right so this pocket camera what's it all about so it shoots 4,096 by 216 volume is too low sorry it sh shoots a down 10% okay for 4,096 by 2160 at 24 frames per second if you're trying to go for a more cinematic feel you want to shoot at 24 FPS understandably or can shoot the the more standard 4K 3840 by 2160 at a steady 30 frames per second with h.264 compression um sweet uh it's also got really incredible so to speak low light performance via mctf technology which obviously we all know what that means according to this picture can see into people's soul too yes it's got a heat sensor oh that's a heat sensor yeah that's totally not paint on her face but it's actually paint on face it's a special lens that they use okay um but I guess the the biggest cool perk about this camera is is the interchangeable lens feature that's pretty nice so you can actually swap on like an Olympus lens or something like that as long as it's an AF lens um from such Brands like like Panasonic uh Sigma and things like that they didn't mention Canon so I'm wondering if it's not compatible with Canon lenses for some reason that'd be kind of a bummer but um still seems like you still have quite a range of options there as far as AF lenses go uh continuous autofocus is supported with photo and video how good it is I'm not sure that uh time will tell um and the body dimensions this is a compact camera after all you can see right there perfect timing right as I scrolled to the dimensions no but not perfect timing we planned that cuz we're an organized show professional we set that up in when we did the dress rehearsal earlier that's right uh we've got a 27 and5 millimeters diameter I'm sorry depth D is depth no diameter in a square freaking camera uh 75.2 mm wide and 56 millim tall pretty tiny uh probably fits in the palm of your hand I think there might be a shot of some guy handling it so you can see for yourself how small it is so yeah I guess this kind of is a middle man or it's kind of a solution where you have a DSLR that has really good quality but they're heavy they're kind of bulky right I think that's kind of what they're talking about here but you get that good quality and then you've got cameras like GoPro where they're really small and Compact and light you can attach them to drones and stuff like that but they don't necessarily have the same kind of quality that you might expect from a DSLR for example so this kind of fits that fills that Gap so to speak um if in case you're looking for you know that sort of thing uh and uh the starting price on Kickstarter is 599 USD to get one of these bad boys and I think that's just the body probably with a kit lens um wait with the kit lens or not that's a a kit lens can be a pretty significant difference yeah I mean I don't know usually like cheap cheapy kit lenses will run you 50 to 80 bucks sometimes uh for something like this so I could I could imagine it coming with the kit lens but there's a good chance it doesn't okay I I didn't check that uh but around ballpark 600 bucks for this so to fund or not to fund Paul uh I like it at $600 that seems pretty good micro 43 sensor um yeah I I mean it seems like a pretty good price for it and for the sensor that you get and the 4K capabilities uh I don't know if you you said this already frame rate what's it what what frame so does 4K at 24 frames per second or does 30 or 30 or 30 frames okay yeah all right so similar to like a lot of like your like the lx1 100 or the the the Sony the Sony Mark markv RX100 sure um just more compact mean it seems pretty nice I I imagine you'd lose some of the functionality that you get from like full-size camera because it's Compact and it's made to be on the go um mic closer to you because people are saying I'm loud okay it's definitely a little bit more purpose built yeah um for that type of thing um but yeah yeah it's it's interesting I would say I would say yeah I'd go for this one yeah I think so I I I would fund it I would fund it if I if I had a need for this I could see myself buying this uh for the right situation uh so moving on uh this is actually kind of different it's not necessarily super heavy on the tech but uh the next Kickstarter that we have to examine is the lumos and this is where Paul here yeah I was promptly clicks to the next tab the the lumos a next a Next Generation bicycle helmet what yeah just what I've been looking for I know right I read your mind I read all of your minds this is all I was like man I'd love to go ride a bike but my bike helmet is just so not it's the one thing holding back technology integrated into my bike helmet it wasn't for that yeah um so what's this thing about okay obviously there's something special here cuz look at the pledge amount and the uh pledged goal you got like almost four times the amount of the original goal we're at half a million and they were asking you know a fraction of that um and they still have 15 days to go so wow what's going on the bike helmet has brake lights and turn signals that's pretty much it that's like the whole buty that's pretty smart it's so simple but it's so like it's so simple that it's like why hasn't this B been done before on a larger scale um how why is it taking this long for a bike helmet to actually have built in you know brake lights on it for example like things that you are already on your bike but are you know are subject to either being ripped off of your bike stolen off your bike or maybe you forget to bring it out of your house turn signals on your no I said brake light like like little reflector lights and stuff the the the blinkers are just an added bonus right I mean that's that's really cool I think it would take a while for people to catch on driving in cars knowing that that's a blinker and not just some kid coming from coming home from a rave um you know what I mean because I I don't know I'd be like well I me I guess it's pretty intuitive you'd catch on pretty quickly but it's a very simple concept that uh I think they're only going for 100 bucks I don't know how much a regular helmet cost these days so probably slap on 15 25% for the LED functionality so basically the way it works it's got uh remote Wireless uh handle triggers okay and so that's how you can activate the blinkers uh the brake light however is completely automated so it there's a motion tracker built into the helmet that can sense when you're slowing down and it'll automatically Flash got a velocet velociter uh is what they're all using these days 2.0 version accelerometer I think was the word I so so here's the real question Beyond to fund or not to fund should Jay get one Jay definitely needs one of these yeah I would I was going to say like I wanted to immediately say yes because of the practicality you know saving lives and all that thing but I think the only thing holding me back here is that I didn't they didn't go the right direction with this movie with with their Asian guy I agree Asian guy no there's nothing wrong with the Asian guy just I think they they needed to play on people's fear more so they needed to show a bunch of people just like on bik just getting creamed by like big rigs and stuff like that pterodactyl just don't let this happen to you if you had a turn signal on your bike then you would not have been killed by a semi truck or whatever train yeah they need the guy with a deep voice you know just do they need to play on the fear element I think then they they could really escalate this um I mean they got half a million right now 3 million 3 million million they put some Michael Myers in there some blood and gore a drunk driver yeah there you go all right cool uh let's move on to the next one this is the remix mini it's the world's first true Android PC now I'm putting that in quotations cuz obviously I haven't tested this out and I don't know I guess the the jury is still open on what defines a true Android PES are false all those false ones those imaginary ones false dising genuine uh okay so we've all seen an Android console right you connect it to your TV or also like a field of stars and soft focus with words floating in front of it first first thing I'll say is I hate this video because it doesn't tell me anything about the product it just has a bunch of fluff Mark we' G from expecting excessively more to embracing sustainably less they might as well have hired the movie trailer guy to do the voice acting look at all these letters flowing in at random less can be more wow you know after effect you're right this is a shitty shitty video it's like that the whole time you're the whole time whole I was expecting like this is just the first minute right and then we're going to go into something substance by the way kickstarters who are doing this sort of thing this is not the kind of video you post when you're trying to raise money for youru hate this thing already because of the video I can't even hear the audio true Android PC so what makes it a true Android PC well apart from the it giving you access to the entire Android app ecosystem uh it has very desktop like features such as taskbar the dragon's back oh Paul has a pet dragon in case you didn't know the dragon has been angered it plays catch with Nori on the weekends when it's not uh eating villagers um but uh yes so it's got things like a taskbar it looks it looks like a fully fledged operating system it's got a taskbar it's got multiple window uh web uh multitasking so just like on Windows or something uh it's got mouse and keyboard support which isn't too revolutionary to Android consoles but I think the first two are taskbar and multiple window tasking it looks like you could really use this for some productivity uh like you know um like open Office for example I think would be a great application I'm I'm I'm so focusing on all the the marketing garbage that's is very markety it's very marketing I will agree I mean other than the world's first true Android PC okay that's your tagline that's fine whatever like this size Matters okay whatever the power of touch and you know they got a hand model touching it in 64 bits of effortless yeah like yeah I agree stay connected in this is it's like they hired a third party adver marketing with buzzwords and garbage and and like these phrases I've seen used in so many other so many other ways right anyway okay um I agree I agree but let's focus back on the product itself no the product stupid product stupid um it's got ethernet Wi-Fi Bluetooth 4.0 USB consumes 10 wats of power super uh low consumption there um it's got a 1.2 gigahertz I put gigabits gabs in Google Docs I put gbz oh 1.2 gabs gabs uh quad core cortex a53 I was actually surprised it has a quadcore running in it just just wait until we get to the price Paul uh it features either 1 gig of RAM and 8 gigs of storage or you can opt for the more expensive one which is 2 gigs of RAM and 16 gig of gigs of storage uh and it's and both models have 4K HDMI output fascinating $30 or $50 you pick that's pretty inexpensive it's pretty cheap so that's the one thing that I was like it's almost like a like it's negligible I could spend 50 bucks on a thing and if it wasn't everything I hoped and dreamed is 50 bucks yeah um and and chances are there's probably some stuff I could use for it if I needed it so this is falling this is falling into the category like like a compute stick or like the chomecast I mean granted granted this is intending to be a little bit more full-fledged than like your chomecast but yes like yeah I mean they're making it so so cheap that you're like it's a computer I might as well just like buy it for whatever but like it's like a poor man's Nook honestly this doesn't have as much appeal for me but I mean I I think for because for the market they might be going for I'm just a little different I don't I don't want the tiny little computer that can maybe barely do anything um maybe this could be this could work out for somebody who's like you know streaming to like a an HT streaming to a home theater or something like that maybe I'm sure there's lots of little applications I think if you're huge on Android and you really are familiarized with like the kinds of apps that you can get from Android cuz I have an Android phone I use it every day but I'm not like a super like highend app guy I'm not a power Android User but if you're a power Android User this could be might this might serve you well because you kind of already know which apps that you would ex like instantly install on this thing and start using in a full desktop environment yeah right um like me like I I would have to do some research on oh I got the I got the little PC now now what the hell should I put on it like I just don't know I'm not that kind of user so it's definitely a niche market but uh for that I would have to say me personally I would not fund it even for the cheapness I I would just probably do a review on it and then it would go in a box somewhere but I could see some other people getting a a kick out of it and getting some use out of it you never know so you never know but yeah guys that is going to conclude it for to fund or not to fund this has been to fund or not to fund that's right it's been brought to you by awesome Hardware that's right a collaboration between awesome sauce Network in Paul's Hardware one day one day you'll just know what my channel name is what if we told people that after the end of every segment you think they get sick of it no we have to start using tagines we'll hire the same Ad Agency that the remix mini like at the end of P at the end of PBS like TV TV shows or whatever it's possible by viewers like you we accept free donation um okay let's move on to the next segment what is the next segment little less in information heavy it's face off off this is where the music plays off battle Q battle music I have no idea I really hope this isn't like crazy loud or anything like that according to the little meter things over there it's not making any sound yet okay it will probably all right well we'll we'll keep an eye out for that all right Face Off is where uh Kyle chooses an internet game uh CH practices it intensively the before until he's mastered it you've won the last like five face offs you're right doesn't say much about your skill at gaming does it no well these are these aren't real games all right these are these are silly games these are pleb games all right so we're playing did you want to announce this you chose it and everything uh yes I I do uh this is a stick man stick figure badminton stick fig stick figure badminton game yes is is the title here cuz bedminton is funner when you weigh one pound uh but the you know how usually we have like sometimes we have punishments but sometimes we don't I I really want to instill like the notion of punishment instill fear into both of our hearts when we play this game so I have actually made a point this today on this episode to actually like have a system worked out for for certain punishments for the loser put effort into the production of the show I've actually made an effort which is unheard of so what I have in this mug could not be better what I have in this glorious Paul's hard mug or the what is it the Chalice of Doom is what we're calling it uh the it was the Chalice of of emasculation The Chalice of emasculation what we have in the Chalice of emasculation today are several pieces of paper with uh certain punishments written on them and the loser will have to draw one at random their eyes turned away and will have to uh carry out whatever task is is written each punishment more horrific than the last that's right this is the first one so it's not too bad I guess I guess but yes stay tuned for that okay this is you ready I'm you want to do a warm-up round let's do a one warmup you always say that and then and then we'll play to five all right because they go by really quick this is this is on stickpage.com apparently page and wait we have some instructions down here player one uses a to move so w and S to jump so up so you're you're left and right up to jump and down to swing all right all right and you're okay all right that's for don't worry about me I got this you're like don't worry about me I'm practicing for hours eyes closed got this taken care of all right so just hit play all right put in chat right now who you think is going to win guys presented by stickpage.com who who do you have your bets on there's a tiny bit of audio I don't Paul has been on a streak lately a winning streak but the streak has to end eventually right I don't want to share the game all right wait don't share it I'm going to turn the I'm going to turn volume up for the game just to touch so people can hear the lovely yes 8bit audio or whatever is going on uh two player right okay yep uh there's our instructions first to seven wins all right is what it says everyone it looks like a lot of people are rooting for you Paul it's badon I'm going to I'm going to show them I'm going to show them off now swing this is fantastic yes ready okay so so let's play the what what are we playing to it's each game is to seven it says each game is to seven you want to play to seven then sure sure all right all right here we go play should this be a practice round or I'm just getting the time I thought you already said it was everyone's changing their votes in chat everyone's saying Kyle now oh god what happened look this is a very complex okay maybe you should serve I don't know how to make like let you serve this does remind me of L he play badman all right I'm going to like stand back here so kind of goes right know what hell he what hell he went through there you go oh no oh no what I hit it that time I just I'm a good server I've always been a good server in badon all that badon no what made you choose this game I there was I'm running out of ideas was it the advanced Graphics oh there we go I returned one yeah hey that's I suck all right no that's that's cool you have wow am I going to am I going to like uh cream me right here 70 maybe is that what's going to happen oh you didn't you didn't expect the the jump this is awful all right should we play one more time now that you're we should now that I've had a chance to lose okay cuz that was pretty quick be humiliated quite pathetic quite frankly so we might as well you so apparently I never get to serve that's also a fun little fact no no no if you if you actually scored a point you would you would serve all right yeah the winner scores a point I just won every time long you don't have an unfair advantage over me that's part I literally played this game for 5 seconds today for the first time just to make sure that it wasn't broken and that's that's literally all I've done I played for like 5 Seconds all right here we go but you're getting better oh see yeah there you go first point the tides have turned I totally gave that to you I did it on my hand I did not know you could even do that you go away o oh look at that looks like might be making a comeback looks like the skill level is is you you go to hell improving very slowly slowly but steadily um come on it's difficult to like keep up commentary while you're engaged in a game you wouldn't think a game like this requires oh what the hell was that I apparently have mastered this game that's that's what it's come down to freaking a all right that are serving really does help out I think the server definitely has the advantage so oh God yes keep drinking your beer spilled beer St paying attention to to the game it would be the second beer spillage now you're like now you're like a Fearless Warrior I can't stop you you're just like a standing in the same spot I think you figured out the strategy to this really complex game all right oh my the stand in one play strategy my overconfidence was my undoing there all right this is the most boring game that we've ever played I'm on the my seat right now you speak for yourself oh God all right oh God it's slipping away lost the lead oh wait no it's tied it's tied oh it's totally tied wait so can you only score a point while you're serving is that is that wait I should have taken that lead right I don't know I thought we were tied well maybe not I I've lost all sense of everything no no try to step on it oh that was that was rough I was trying to do like a trick shot I like the little band like the little headband that I'm wearing yeah how come your guy has the head oh that was a good hit Ace right there smack down wow okay all right I see playing dirty I'm sorry I'm like I'm so need to go back I should not be screaming on the mic like I am I don't mean to do it all right I'll I'll lean back the viewers oh oh are people complaining that you're no I just there we go did it for you did it for each every one of you yeah this does require a Titan next to play actually yeah we're we're rocking a little bit of shop here cuz we're only using a 980 TI that's a li sorry seeing a little bit of the little bit it's actually oh my God no oh game point game point game point here we go no back row you oh damn it damn it all right all right that was well done Paul that was it right well done that's all I don't think we have time to do this no no no I think I think we've played fair enough yay well we've played uh y for badminton was a noble effort it was but I I just couldn't I couldn't top Paul in this one you spent all that time writing those down earlier like he'd look up at me every so often and kind of like giggle like well yeah little did he know but some of them it was going to be Kyle some of them all enjoy some of them I won't oh all right yeah got to go you know I just wrote I just wrote punishments that you would hate I see right so you should really start contributing to the uh the Chalice of masculinity all right I think I got a good one can't think of anything all right I'm I'm really scared just picking the one that he's specially like lined up corner all right what what do you have to do this is my punishment that I just drew mhm from The Chalice uh tweet to a popular techie female oh For the Love of All That is pure and holy please have my babies well there you go so I got a tweet to a female Tech person right now right now right now like I have to go tweet and and tell them to have my babies okay uh but brief warning um dog barking might be coming in just a just a second barking coming yeah barking coming okay so leave it in chat who you want me to tweet at uh someone said pistol someone said Jenn we got Joanne we got Joan uh come on guys I'll throw uh uh I'll throw uh Lauren in tasty PC that's a good one that's a good one I feel like that would be especially difficult for me because I don't know Lauren very well whereas like I've like definitely chatted with the other one so it'd be like ah you know oh it's Kyle he's just he's an idiot yeah he must be joking but Lauren doesn't know that I'm an idiot yet so she would be like what what what so she might have to like watch one of your videos all right so okay fine maybe I'll get subscribers underhanded okay uh I'm or Josh people are saying you should tweet to Josh Josh is a popular female techie um that would work okay uh I don't know we didn't we didn't establish any what we should what you should have done no you cuz you couldn't have known what you were going to draw out of the jar yeah that's right is like had a list of them that people could vote on in a strapple I know but it was just like have doing all that work for one possible outcome was yeah okay all right Griffin or Ellie awesome there's the dog I'm I'm tweeting to Lauren from tasty PC again what I'm tweeting her is For the Love of All That is pure and holy please have my babies here we go we'll see if we can confirm this that Kyle has posted this tasty PC yeah it's just tasty PC TV For the Love of All That is pure and holy please have my babies here goes nothing all right tweet sent all right here we go let the riot I am not logged into and I will be uh giving you guys updates in case she responds you know what I I need another beer do you I could use one too okay I'm going to go grab a beer for us now that we don't have lavaliers this is a perk of having using the monor price monitor the condenser mic in the me there's no longer te te there's Kyle's tweet right there are you showing it for Love For the Love of All That is pure and holy please have my babies let's go over some of Kyle's other other recent tweets we're trying to punish the loser not the audience there's water leaking out of the garage I don't I don't think there's where over on the far Corner no or here I don't think so cuz it hasn't been running uh oh it might have been leaking out of the uh we we got a new washing machine and the old one is right there it might have leaked out of the old one needs to that' be my best guess you should use your Hardware Paul cuz I haven't I haven't used the the washing machine cool the blond ale uh yeah blond ale all right go for a blonde um crack these all right lost lost track of uh what was going on there for a second yes thanks for bringing beer though of course all right uh end of end of that segment end of Face Off guys thank you for uh hope you've enjoyed hope hope you enjoyed that today's face off segment was brought to you by PBS and proud sponsors like you the WM kek Foundation give us money just right at the end we appreciate your genuine love and support give us all right so uh what's next K next is pin my PC oh yeah BL ripoff segment from Matt Philly let's do it this is where you guys send in your pictures send in pictures of your rigs your personal desktop PCS that mean oh so much to you and Paul and I R them a new one uh no not really we just we we help you we critique we critique and we guide you not blockers we're guiders there's an emphasis on um on Aesthetics in this segment I will say that that that I mean hence the pimp in the pimp my PC uh so the first one comes from let's just dive right into it here we've got Marco can't get rid of this top Barco really really whatever it's cuz I'm not logged in on the system is it fixed so when you scroll it's still there still there that's annoying come on Twitter all right so Marco sends in his rig and uh the first thing that caught my eye about this system is that he's got a lot of decent Hardware in here I mean he's got two 970s in SLI that's pretty baller that's pretty nice um and he's got a nice little case in there I think that's is that thermal take or is that Silverstone uh or am I completely wrong on both counts I do not know what case that is looking at the side of it um that is a swifttech h220x all in one CPU Cooler right and it looks like um might be military class that's MSI I believe motherboard yeah that definitely MSI Motherboard and he's got some Corsair Vengeance in there for the memory I like it it definitely the blue on that matches the uh blue on your 970s exactly I can confirm I have both of those components I want to say that's like a cougar power supply only because cougar does the orange but I'm not sure there's a at the bottom maybe it's even a cougar case I don't I'm not very familiar with Cougar's cases derly no all right so regardless of what the parts are here um there's there's some there's some very evident Cable Management uh issues going on here that could be fixed up yeah uh I mean there's just there's just way too much of it visible um this is this is not like a super old case there's clearly some passrs here and some space behind the motherboard tray you just you need to make use of that a little bit more absolutely um and P pull some some of that stuff back there you also have I think the um like the thing going on where it's like you have red SATA cables you've got the the the the power cables for like the the the hard drives and everything with the the yellow and the red and the orange and the black the ketchup and mustard cables you got a lot of ketchup and mustard if only there was like a tutorial where people could watch that would teach them how to make those ugly cables black and really match I I mean don't you think there should be a video on that there should be there should be it is a shame it is a absolute shame day and age you that nothing like that exists didn't you just post a video on how to do that I think what yeah I thought I thought I saw something where it was like you know change your ugly cables and paint them black and make them look good again I posted that publicly yeah well wow oh I'm sorry was I not supposed to say that I I just I thought that was a private video it was very intimate well now that the truth is out uh in case you guys are wondering how to make go around that solution if you didn't want to opt for something like an extension or something like that you could spray paint them that is a very viable option as long as you practice and you get it get it right you know what you're doing Paul does a really nice video on it that he just posted like a week or so ago so go ahead and check that out I just use plaster dip it's like honestly a really quick and dirty method um yeah there's there's definitely other better things extensions I think could be a great option here for you but it's also kind of plastic dip is like from what I understand it's like anxiety free right cuz you could just peel it right off after it D if you're not happy with it you get the corner and kind of just slips right out sound um by the way Johnson oh Johnson we got a Johnson uh who do we got here um Eric Eric Eric Eric from Florida yeah buddy thank you sir I picked up a CPU Cooler shirt of course thank you very much and another Johnson um from the Beloved Richard Sweet Moses Richard thank you guys appreciate it I have several Johnson's to holler all right uh s off Kevin Johnson Kevin oh Rodney Johnson Johnson Rodney was it oh okay uh Lenny Johnson Lenny Eric Johnson to Eric my future father bought bought bought a shirt from you oh was that Rodney mm oh thank you Rodney it's beautiful y you're you're you're inheriting a wonderful wonderful you're inheriting him too so right there yeah I come I come along thank you Eric thank you Phillip Johnson to Phillip Johnson to Eric Johnson to Richard nice Richard you could I don't know if Richard go ever goes by dick but you could almost say Dick Johnson hey yeah Dick Dick Johnson I don't know if that's a thing I mean it's a thing now it's entirely up to you it's a thing all right Johnson to all you guys wow all right fantastic people absolutely thank you guys so Marco again uh what Paul said try to wrap up those cables not only tidy them but try to color coordinate them a bit better if you can um I don't know if that orange part of your power supply can come off if that's a sticker or decal it looks like it might be painted but that's probably easily painted too I think that's permanent yeah you could paint over that easily in black and it would look perfect it would look perfectly fine um and then I think I think this is an awesome system I really do yeah it's very functionally again you got the hardware going on I'd like to see just just a rewiring of everything um with some real attention to the cable management and and see what you can do about that stuff behind the uh the drive cages and toss an fan up there in in the back cuz it looks like you got room for it and you know why not you got space for it yeah that would be nice cool thanks Marco moving along thank you sir next one next one comes from Fernando Fernando Fernando let me pull up his picture here Fernando this like the funnest name to say ever Fernando because you can roll your RS horri R rolling Fernando this is a ASUS Sabertooth 990 FX and fx8320 at 4 GHz Cooler Master TPC 612 case uh with two noctua no no no the TPC 612 is the cooler I'm sorry uh with a couple noctua NFP 12 fans on it beautiful uh 20 gigs of DDR 31333 um 20 20 gigs 20 gigs how's that maybe I mean you can't you can get you can have 20 gigs you can have a couple eight gigs and a 4 gig but I'm wondering if he meant eight but it looks like I wonder if he meant eight it looks like only two of the memory slots populated though 10 gig modules are a thing no they're not uh anyway 7970 lightning edition from MSI 950 wat 80 plus silver Power Supply uh 840 Evo 500 GH SD and some other drives actually quite a few other drives the hard drive collection down there in the bottom right and that's of corer 300 R is the case that's a 300 R yeah 300 R I thought has a painted interior uh no apparently not no it totally does come on are you calling are you calling BS Kyle calling BS we getting played right now pen right there right there it looks like yeah actually you're right that is weird dude I know I built I built in the 300 R like a couple months ago for system config and it's got a full black paint interior so maybe you either got that a type maybe you're I mean maybe these specs are just all wrong or I can't believe I can't imagine something all right we've never received such conflicting information my PC before wait wait do you think maybe it's the Flash no no no that's definitely unpainted look at this other look at Pi yeah CU you can see the the front you can see the outer frame yeah okay anyway yeah I'm not sure what's going on there buddy um right so interesting M for the SSD there funny though on that that weird thing though that we just talked about because I think a 300 R since it's clearly not in one right now would be a good fit for this case for this for these parts if you really wanted to pimp up your PC and you wanted to make it look a little bit cleaner I think a black painted interior is something that goes a long way in terms of making thing making everything seem a bit more neutral uh the reflective interior when it's unpainted kind of looks very bare and there's a lot of light that gets bounced off and reflected and it doesn't always look the cleanest it kind of looks like unfinished um or just it looks really old and kind of dated so um I don't know maybe switch over to a 300 R it looks like you've got you know a pretty decent system here it's not super high-end so maybe a 300 R would be a good fit considering it's a budget case and all um I don't know what do you think Paul um I I agree I agree completely I don't I don't think the system looks very good I mean just talking from Pure Aesthetics Aesthetics yes you have a lot of conflicting stuff going on you've got a military color scheme with the motherboard you've got NF uh you got noctua fans which don't match with anything right uh you have a lightning power or lightning uh uh graphics card which is probably yellow under there but I can't see um and then the 950 wat power supply which I didn't I didn't know Sapphire made power supplies that's the thing it's 80 it's 80 plus silver and and 80 plus silver just doesn't they don't make them anymore right so it's an older power supply so that's interesting um strange I think I think like Kyle said another a new case with the painted interior would would do a lot of good yeah um and other than that I mean if you want to if you want to be color coordinated you're just going to have to swap out parts or other than that you just or spray paint those fans honestly I've been doing a lot of spray painting lately and once you get the hang of it it's really not a big deal you put it out there you spray it down if you know what you're doing you know how to how many C spr you haven't spray painted fans yet though I've spray painted many fans really even though I haven't shown any in the video I've done a lot of testing I've sprayed like five different blades and I've sprayed like three different bodies and fans yeah have you had any issues with them like being off balance or anything like that after you use them again no I mean I even talked to Bill Owen uh briefly and he said uh you know yeah of course it probably adds a fraction of an ounce to to the actual weight of the fan blade if you do spray paint the fan blade are you going to experience problems maybe but is it likely probably not in some use case scenarios if you're running the fans 24/7 for years maybe it adds up to something but in the long run you know honestly you're usually safe and this is spoken from the the mouth of a professional modder uh so if Bill Owens stands behind it I think it's okay to spray paint you know do a light coat I mean do two three light coats on your fan blades um but in this case honestly I would probably go for the spray painting the body before spray painting the fan blades obviously doing both would be nice but um it's that that tan beige color of the the the frame itself on those those noctua fans that really clashes with the the nice green army green color of your motherboard um so if you got a nice spray can and you started to try to match that color on your heat sinks of that motherboard you could paint those fans the body of those fans that same color and I think it would look a million times better you're right a million times better uh get some maybe just some plain black sleeved extensions right from Silverstone or bit Phoenix they both make great options and avoid the rose World ones those aren't very good um and and and it'll look a million times better mine kind of came apart on me um yeah yeah I agree I think I think first first thing though new case yes and the and then kind of see how things come together after that all right thanks Fernando thank you sir and someone in chat was asking what kind of paint honestly you have to do your research and find out which brands are good um Rustoleum is a really good one that I stand behind primer self-etching primer self-etching primer you should not use yeah you don't need to do that that's for car repair and uh you can it's used on cases a lot of times but you should only be using it on cases and steel don't use on anything else and don't use it at all because unless you know what you're doing because it's like it's one of those things you buy and it says on the label like you're not supposed to be able to buy this and I'm like oh okay know like this this should only be sold sold to licensed professionals committing a crime Amazon sold it to me yeah all right cool yeah yes uh rain rainbro Dash I love your name by the way uh kryon is also a good one I've used some kryon for for my custom build that I'm doing right now and it works pretty well as long as you get that solid color on there oh no um the color that you're looking for time for a second all right this is why we need top hats I told you we should put top hats into the budget you didn't believe me but I knew this moment would come where one of us would need to buy time and we wouldn't have any top hats or canes this is these are both very crucial things say nothing of the little tuxedo suits that we can pop on at any time I mean I have my own bow tie but seriously uh help me out here what's going on I'm trying to log into Twitter okay Twitter I do I do have a I do have a wow you you you really go all all all out on your passwords even for Twitter E Yeah someone could probably hack my Twitter in like five minutes got just like a week sauce we wouldn't want to encourage anyone to do that though I got a week sauce uh password on my Twitter's um it's great that I'm advertising that too um but yeah okay so let's let's move on to the next one forget everything I just said you'd think I would be joking you was think I was room all right um the next one's from Chris we should speed through these because so the problem was it was flagging his tweet as like possibly offensive I don't yeah huh I don't know why but it wouldn't let me show it unless the cable management is offensive good God someone flagged this immediately all right so you've got a killer rig here you've got two 95 x2s from AMD damn son damn son you're rocking it hey girl hey uh but the problem that you're having with having those two cards in there is with the coolers specifically the tubing got one in the he's got one in the exhaust one the top right and I agree it looks pretty janky it looks pretty messy um just because you got tubing going everywhere and even if you tidied up those uh the tubing on the top card and you kind of solidified them as one it's it would still look really weird um I don't know exactly what case this is it looks like a Corsair case so based on yeah it's definitely a Corsair case I think yeah it's the same interior body model as a 760t cuz it's got those SSD mounts at the back of it yeah so it could be a 760t of course they used in a few different cases though or maybe a 6 or 780 I think they also use that in I forget um so any so what I would suggest is try I don't and again if this is like a 780t it's not I don't think it's a 78 but if this is like a there's this is a build in progress cuz there's no there's no processor in there chances are you don't have any room for any of those radiators at the front of the case no he does you do look right here oh okay right there so I'm going to say that the lower card actually front no no no no I was going to say that looks okay only because the length of the tubing seems right no you're not feeling do you not like it going over the logos I don't like how it no not even the logos I don't like how it goes straight over the CPU straight over the CPU okay another question here is what CPU is going in there and what cooler is going in here because that's a concern right um but yeah I'd say definitely take one of those and move it to the front intake that's what I would do I would i' take the bottom card and move that radiator to the front and then take the the top card and move that radiator to the back that way this one back to where the okay yeah especially especially since he's got an x99 system in there it's probably going to benefit more from a like a 240 radiar AIO or something like that as opposed to an air cooler that way you could put the AIO for your CPU up top and if you have like a 240 mm exactly AIO for the CPU yeah yeah exactly and you got 2 two 295 x2s an Allin one 240 probably is within your range yeah yeah so much water cooling um awesome and this is this is also the first time I think we've looked at like not a full build on this on pit my PC yeah this is definitely work in progress yeah oh yeah I mean there's no power suppli there's no drives no cables the the the uh the case box access Bo accessory box is still in in the little Bay there awesome but that's great I mean and that's perfectly fine you can send us your stuff in even if it's not a finished build if it's a work in progress that's cool too because everyone needs help regardless of what stage in their build they're in umed it is still a PC this is pin my PC so doesn't need to be% complete thank you for that Nicholas and there was nothing offensive about that those pictures at all I don't know why log in to look at him all right so we got Nicholas here Nicholas too big Nicholas he's too big for for your mom Nicholas it's Tu big it's it's probably his last name genuinely and we're just being 5-year-olds um this is Nicholas too small that would be a terrible last name yeah uh so congratulations on the last name Lottery there build beautiful build actually ooh nice are those custom those are custom painted custom painted pans those are custom painted fans Kyle that we're looking at right here it's not even my half of the show yet I need to maintain some normaly all right that's right uh yeah this is a so this is a like when all these gold motherboards started coming out this is my thought was like there's going to be some nice black and gold builds yeah and then there's going to be a bunch of like crap that looks hideous with it because it doesn't match this is a good example of it though yeah uh this this looks very nice yeah I agree um dude honestly I picked this because well for a a there isn't much to say couple 97 negative about it a X or I'm sorry it's a z97a what what I think would take this rig from kind of ordinary to extraordinary would be the sleeving yeah honestly if you did some like black and gold sleeving in here like custom gets like lutro Customs Tio sleeving uh damn it would it would like I would never even pick that rig for pimp my PC cuz it would already be done yep because everything else is spot on your cable management is topnotch dude you done a really good job I love the paint job honestly it's not just you know the it's not only that you took the time to find the right uh shade of gold to to match the rest of your system because I know that takes some time and effort you got to buy one or two maybe three cans sometimes or more to find that perfect shade of gold or whatever shade you're going for I know um but it looks like you've done a good job about it it doesn't see I don't see any rough spots it looks very smooth it looks very professional is almost like the fans came that way I think that's a very important part to not notice that like oh if if you can tell someone did it themselves it's not very clean I agree that's that's that's my rule or whatever um and it looks like you've done a great job there so really the only thing here for me that's standing out is those cables the cables are they're good they match right they're black so you have the basics down but to take it a step further and say like like look wow like make my rig really Pop I think some uh custom sleeving in there black gold I think those are your two main colors honestly those are like the only two colors I see in there do some black and gold sleeving in there for your at least your 24 pin your pcie cables I think you're good I think I think also though just a great example of of like without going over the top as far as extensions or water cooling or anything like that with your with a pretty standard set of components I mean granted it's an SLI configuration this is a pretty highend build but a bit of custom ization everything Blends in really nicely and you know there there's nothing that stands out there as outside of like take this to the next level that I would say you can fix this really easily or something like that everything looks really nice right so great job Nick yeah thank you very much sir and good luck with the rest of your system uh next up we've got plit skin plit skin plit skin he was the only one today who had a strange name that I wasn't sure how to pronounce uh but he sends in his rig uh actually a rig that he posted on the it's on the tech Syndicate for Tech Syndicate Forum hey nice good to see you're a Logan fan and supporting Tech Syndicate um he's linking his profile in Tech Syndicate Pitkin also has two 970s that's a that's a hot apparently a hot card remember I think it was you that that saw the talked about the steam study a couple weeks back where like the most popular car that people were using was a 970 right it was was that number one uh it was in yeah I think it was number one like it just recently become number one right um and but 970 SLI would be even I mean probably a lot less common than just a 970 but apparently there's lots of people doing it yes all right so this is a a fantex case um and it looks like he's painted is this is it painted or did fantex do like a razor Edition I've never seen this this is this is a custom paint job for sure that's really I yeah I've never seen a fantex case with that color unless I I could have missed it it's possible I could have missed it I haven't either I just feel like that I mean between the both of us we would looks like a really nice custom paint job for what's painted it does it does but um at the same time I can kind of I I yeah I don't know wait they're saying that's Factory they released colored variants yeah okay interesting I did not know that uh yeah I did not know that man geek says that so that's yeah that's just the impression I get of this and and no offense to you Aaron but if you were to have custom painted this I feel like the internals would look a little bit nicer I don't think you would have gone to the trouble of painting that green and then used a white and an orange fan in the bottom of the case right right you would have spent another 20 or $25 to get matching fans yeah yeah uh agreed yeah that's just yeah um all right so all that aside side you have a case with a special with like the custom green color not custom but like the special limited edition or whatever with the green Interior right nothing else in the case is green yeah none of the other Hardware matches with it which I don't know it's kind of confusing right yeah like did he buy the the case first or did he already have the components before maybe he got given maybe he was given the case given the components or something um cuz I can't understand why you would buy them all same time if you knew that they weren't they were going to clash yeah uh so geez I mean what do you do here Paul do you spray paint the the RAM and the little blue strips of the video cards to match the green of the case I think that would probably be the easiest I would I honestly do I think easiest would be to try to black out everything on the motherboard on the motherboard and graphics cards I mean I'm just saying easiest yeah yeah yeah like some some some Plasti Dip or something like that right to to kill the blue and then you have black and green yeah and even then the white on on the two fans that are white would still probably be okay but eventually you want to get rid of those to uh get rid of that get rid of that that fan Cougar Fan that Cougar Fan at the bottom that's a very nice fan don't get me wrong that's a hyd that's a hydro bearing fan put it somewhere you can't see it but yeah put it put it somewhere you can't see it or something like that or in a different system cuz it's not doing anything for you yeah and it's probably not even going to be that big of a difference cuz you've already got 140 doing intake right right there yeah and it's a huge case so you've got plent you know you're not things aren't cramped in here you're probably not dealing with thermal problems right get another get another 140 like the one you have get another exact duplicate of the white fan you have at the bottom and put it right next to the where where the cougar is replace it um that way you have even more air flow to those video cards and you're good so we're being told that the on the fantex website this is from the manic geek by the way yeah uh they have the U Primo SE special edition they make red white and orange versions as well as okay interesting I had not seen those good to know all right thanks good to know thanks manic geek thanks Manic and uh also thank you plit skin for sending that in uh by the way Johnson Johnson we got a Johnson we got a Johnson from Joseph Joseph of what's wi Wisconsin Wiscon Wisconsin Michigan wish we Wei U wish aama we got Joseph from Wii U thank you Joseph for picking up a oh he got avoid my warranty shirt nice that might be one of the last ones actually I bet those are all gone now yes yes they I I got a couple notifications also that your your inventory is low low yeah low stock level for void my warranty so you have those are almost gone then second to the last shirt there buddy I got a I got I got a Johnson shout out for Danny hey Danny thanks thanks for pick up uh did not go that far yet he picked up a Johnson that's what he picked up Danny got wait I do it for the Johnson that's that should be a shirt that we sell collectively oh Danny got a mug yeah one of those fine Paul harder mugs suitable for holding all all varieties of liquids yeah coffee works good your in my experience yes okay uh we have Kyle you have one more my PC I do have one more and uh this one comes from Liam I'm reloading Liam what you got buddy let's see it he's going to Define our five 4790k I use that as well 4790k good gtx970 yes and and hit the motherboard with screwdriver hit motherboard with screwdriver what is what does that mean I don't know please Liam expand on what you mean by hit motherboard with screwdriver okay so he how he turns it on painted his uh his his IO Shields or his expansion card slot Shields oh yes yeah slots yeah uh to match with the red on the motherboard right and the memory but it doesn't look like they really match it's not it looks like a salmon red it's not quite there a cherry red maybe maybe maybe a recod on those could be a could be a thought right um man that Corsair h100i is that an h100i it's probably an H it's 100i GTX yeah the GTX yeah man those are some taut cables T like tubing there yeah yeah I mean it looks exactly it doesn't look too bad is it but I mean it makes just makes me wonder like is there a lot of tension there yeah are those are they being pulled like vigorously if it was if it was too TT right there I might I might think about moving that and you got plenty of room to the top up top put it up top man the only real thing you lose by putting it up top is that the front side of the case becomes a little emptier get some fans but yeah I mean or or you could drop those Drive cages in or or something like that right um if if it's got a little bit of give and you're okay then then fine I mean it's nice straight tubing yeah that's nothing wrong there um other than that uh you could probably tuck those uh cables at the very top right you could probably bring those up bring them straight back behind the the motherboard tray up there that would uh that would clean things up couple little stray wires down here it looks like for maybe your front fans coming through that you could kind of yeah reroute and tuck away a little bit us for the most part it's okay there's a little bit of cable management stuff that could go on in here what the the one cable that really gets me is the one coming from the uh CPU Cooler that's curving around this one here yeah yeah that doesn't look very good yeah you could bring that straight up here to this little little port or you could uh rout it really closely around the the memory I've done that before as well yeah um so yeah a little bit of C management could go along here other than that I mean everything's real clean indeed um just yeah it's that that tubing there just really really it just looks alarming when you see it you're like oh that's like the first reaction I had I open up I was like oh yeah cuz literally it with it like that if the if there is pressure on that it's pulling the block away from CPU yeah and over time that could lead to like air seeping in there if if there's actually pressure pulling that away getting between the your Tim right there you yeah you don't want that um but yeah I'd say I'd say move that to the top the the number one thing other than that cable management thank you Liam and thank you everyone for setting in your rigs for pin my PC that's going to conclude this segment so let's move on to the next one it's been wonderful let's move on on the next segment we're going to try to blast through these because I've gone a little bit over my PC is a huge time sync I know but it's so fun worth it though I can't stop all right so first on the tech news are we doing a straw pole in this segment yes we are okay you are prepared let's get that ready you are prepared and you are ready for anything uh you got this you got this I'm ready I'm ready c yeah all right news news uh some someone said Jesus dude aren't you engaged on Twitter really after I after I tweeted tasty PC we got eight retweets wow 30 favorites too H it's a good thing it's a good thing my fiance doesn't have Twitter that would be that would be uh that' be awkward she's completely oblivious to all social media I I'll tell her as soon as I get home I tweeted it labc that I want my babies just so she doesn't hear it from anyone else first I'm sure that's like a great thing for her to come home too anyway I should follow you home with a camera today stay tuned for Paul's next videos it's a doozy um all right so uh the next segment is Tech news and the first story to be talking about is Razer acquiring the oh yeah oh yeah oh yeah software assets is that how you pronounce it oh yeah oh yeah oh yeah I always want to say it like Luigi from Mario Kart oh yeah he goes oh yeah what I've not heard that anytime you like anytime you like hit someone with a shell or like they s on his b he goes oh yeah oh yeah all right so o yeah I'm going to say o yeah for now uh in case you're not familiar it launched back in 2012 they had a huge it was one of the biggest crowdfunded campaigns ever like in history uh it raised $8.5 million everyone's like it's going to be the next gen console thing it's like a you know it's a cool console competitor whatever independently owned and then it kind of went nowhere because there was a very a huge lack of devel development support developer support as well as uh end user sales so it kind of just stagnated they're still selling stuff but it's just not as huge as it was initially hyped to be what did Razer PID for him 15 20 bucks Razer paid three cents I don't know it doesn't say um but uh an undisclosed amount Razer bought oya's software okay so not the hardware because you remember I don't know if you saw it CS but um Razer has their Forge TV Android console yes the little controllers and stuff you can play games whatever browse whatever um so they already have the excuse me it's gone from throat farts to throat burps that's all right I'm sure it was much less pronounced it's probably a lot easier for people to listen to than that that's right so they've got their forg TV Razer already got the hardware down but they want some software to really break into the Android console market so they bought oya's software okay and they're going to be implementing that into their forg TV their their own Hardware um so current users of Oya are going to have this migration period where they kind of transfer over to um Forge TV essentially and uh kind of get used to the new razor ecosystem um so what was originally called Oya software is now going to be called cortex for Android CU cuz cuz Razer bought that too they bought their their their whole app system and all the soft they bought all the software things I see um so yeah I mean I I don't care very much but whatever some of you guys might I mean hey it made it made front headline news you know so I was like you know it we'll just we'll we'll do it live we'll do it live and I made Paul laugh a lot so try to impress upon you the importance of this news story I'm sharing with you guys and who gives a who cares all right yeah so we're going to keep this mentality up for the rest of the show I love it I love it it's so us um okay okay the next story is much more interesting uh it's about it's about robots and how they will destroy us all oh good oh yes so Skynet is it approaching let's find out we'll be talking about this more on my half of the show yeah perfect um and Paul's gonna uh you know we'll both tweet you guys or we'll put it in chat um a straw poll that we would like you to check out and also be a part of uh because the question for this article I actually have a tailored question for all of you uh which is should autonomous war machines be a thing and so you know autonomous war machines you're thinking Skynet yes should Skynet be a thing um not the part where it obliterates all of humankind but the part where it's like it fights Wars for us we no longer have civilian casualties because we have robots doing all the heavy lifting and shooting other robots of course um so there's an article that was posted it was kind of more of an insightful article as opposed to like look what happened nothing really happened but it's just kind of like one of those Food For Thought type uh pieces um where it talks about a group of AI and Robotics researchers uh by the name of future of life you guys may have heard of them Elon Musk donated $10 million to this organization because he just you know believes firmly in in what they're doing with AI and all their advances and he's rich as ball balls out of his pockets in the movie theater yeah pretty much they kind of just table scrapped it you know as he was walking out of Regal 16 um and so basically they kind of released this open letter that would BAS Bally explain what might happen if we allowed autonomous machines to take over that's what'll happen that's that was the open letter it was just a picture of that just a picture Terminator rise of the machine of scary as hell robots with with freaking Min guns to be expected absolutely and so they explained that it could be the third revolution in Warfare following the whole gunpowder thing and the whole nuclear arms thing right so that's the next thing you got gunpowder you got nuclear arms and then you've got AI you got Killer Robots right Killer Robots is the next thing in the third Revolution uh and the components needed for to build these AI machines these war machines uh are a lot more easily accessible than the components uh resources needed for nuclear warfare for example this a great great tie in for my upcoming how to video how to build a bum how to build an autonomous War Machine Rob robotic war machine that will kill everyone use your respons please yes so sponsored by fractal I mean and obviously obviously obviously the resources required for AI stuff is easier to gather I mean look at like the the quadricopter obviously it's not AI but the quadricopter that that 18-year-old built that we talked about last week where he fixed a handgun to it and he could fly it and it could shoot I mean he could be in a different you know he could be a mile away or something and kill someone you know and just imagine programming that ability to move around and and Target things put face detection on a freaking quadricopter something a technology that we have on our phones Implement that into a machine with an attach a handgun to it like this 18-year-old did and you've got freaking Skynet essentially now you're just waiting for people to hack into it and turn it against us and we all die um so I don't know I thought it would be an interesting straw poll because I mean it could be cool I mean it'd be cool to like you know people start making this and we get you know it would take Battle Bots to a whole new level remember Battle Bots it's still going on but yeah gr mhara is he's he's a part of it I think hosting it Jessica Chobot I think is on it too she's one of the I don't know if she still is but she whose name is very remarkably similar to robot never thought about that me a mixing board CU we play the Twilight Twilight we're the mixing board is is forthcoming which we've only just introduced this feel free to donate this new microphone technology that we have that's right this is a Monoprice microphone by the way so okay so let's let's check take a look at the straw pole what do we got should autonomous uh war machines be a thing uh survey says number one no I've seen enough of ter the Terminator franchise to know better I'm I'm glad that was the number one choice but number two was I'm on the fence the machines might kill us all but I want to see what they can do in fact I'm making one right now all right and number three they could save real human lives so yes in fact I'm making one right now um okay so I think I think as long as you guys are in control of things and make the decisions and call the shots we should be safe Point here is that 48% of the people watching this show right now are currently creating autonomous war machines right I can't wait for your segment oh joy awesome Hardware which will be a great followup to this point speaking of which you have two more this is AI thing is last one is this on the same story or on the last story The Last Story the Intel one Intel and Micron they have just announced their 3D Cross Point technology which is supposed to be a thousand times Cross Point like XO it is cross Crossfire pronounced Cross Point I looked it up did my research uh so thank you PC perr Ryan shout or whoever wrote this article Alan Melvin Tano Alan Melvin Tano thank you sir for writing this article great guy we hung out in Korea oh nice nice I I hung out with him vicariously through Paul uh so nand obviously is great in ssds right but it's got limited uh right speeds and stuff so Intel and Micron kind of joined forces to release a new kind of memory technology that would solve this issue which is 3D cross this is a 3D rendering of the building that they're going to be making in order to to manufacture this stuff it's the facility as you can see it's it's modeled after ancient Roman you got the uh the lovely pillars here in the front it's the facility for really really small people exactly okay now here's look die shots die shots yeah yeah we got some die shots um super sexy this is a good D on the left and this crappy nand on the right that's what we call the money shot yep uh so okay what's the deal here this this 3D Cross Point memory technology it's got 10 times the density of dam okay A th000 times the speed and a thousand times the endurance as nand flash which is really the the big seller here uh the method of storing the bits is vastly different from nand Intel is claiming that the wholesale properties change as a bit is being programmed and fundamental physics of the entire process is very different than what it's like in nand uh nand data storage uh the data is also writable in small amounts whereas you know realize like nand has to be erased in large blocks right and that can kind of slow down things uh from time to time and also the cost should be somewhere between nand and Dam obviously uh clearly we don't have any hard numbers yet as far as far as what we can expect from uh like read and write speeds in you know the megabits per second type thing I can't give you that right now and this article doesn't list it but if they're saying somewhere in between nand and Dam dam is pretty fast Dam's pretty fast and but that's for the cost though right that's that is for the cost so there're it's more expensive than nand because nand is cheaper than but I did read in the article that's also the performance too is in between nand and Dam okay so um I don't know sit on it think about it hey that's cool it's funny though because just as ssds were about to get were getting cheaper now we have this new technology that's probably going to be like it's going to be the new hot item that everyone wants and it's going to be super expensive like damn it and mean an SSD based on this would still be an SD it's just solid state it means there's no moving Parts yeah that's true but I mean SSD is not like tied to Nan no yeah that's true so um but yeah that's that's cool yeah I hope this doesn't turn out to be like all that stuff that talking about graphine over the past four five six years graphine I mean graphine is cool it's just they all the stuff they're talking about doing with graphine and not much of it has come around yet yeah all right that's about it yeah your your show is over it's over uh well we started what he went long it's been an hour and 15 maybe more like an hour 20 well we started at like what 6 or 640 6 40ish I don't know it's been an hour 15 it's been an hour 15 so thank you guys for joining us for this half of the show but don't go anywhere because we've got Paul's show coming up right now again again burp if you're watching us on YouTube and this is the rebroadcast go ahead and check out Paul's half of the show it's going to be awesome go to Paul's Hardware and and watch it if you're watching live you can't can't go and watch the second half of my show yet because it has not happened you only have you'll have to wait my mind you're hurting my mind unless you have a time machine that's right all right thanks guys be back momentarily don't touch that dial button I have to pee\n"
