Qualcomm Quick Charging 4: A New Era in Fast Charging Technology
Recently announced by Qualcomm, Quick Charging 4 is a significant improvement over its predecessor, Quick Charging 3, which was introduced in 2016. With the new technology set to be available in 2017, it promises to deliver faster charging times and increased efficiency compared to Quick Charging 3.
According to Qualcomm, Quick Charging 4 brings about a 20% faster charge and 30% more efficient charging experience compared to Quick Charging 3. The company claims that users can get just about 5 yards of battery life with just 5 minutes of charging, which is an impressive feat. Furthermore, Qualcomm asserts that users can get up to 50% of their battery life back with just 15 minutes of charging, although these are simulated tests and actual results may vary.
The improvement in Quick Charging 4 is attributed to the improved dual charger plus plus technology, which enhances the existing design by providing superior parallel charging capabilities. This allows for faster charging times while maintaining a stable voltage output, ensuring a safer charging experience for users. Additionally, the new Qualcomm base power management ICS (Integrated Circuit System) enables better control over the charging process, further enhancing efficiency and safety.
One of the notable features of Quick Charging 4 is its compatibility with USB Power Delivery, which provides a standard interface for fast charging. This means that devices equipped with Quick Charging 4 will be able to take advantage of this feature, enabling users to charge their devices quickly and efficiently. Furthermore, Qualcomm has taken steps to make the technology more accessible by adding safety features such as multiple layers of protection against overheating and electrical shock.
In comparison to previous versions of Quick Charging, Qualcomm Quick Charging 4 offers a significant leap forward in terms of charging speed and efficiency. Although users who already own devices with Quick Charging 2 may not notice a substantial difference, those who upgrade to devices with Quick Charging 4 can expect a noticeable improvement in their charging experience. Furthermore, as the technology becomes more widespread and available on mid-range devices such as the 6x series, users can look forward to even faster charging times and improved efficiency.
What Does This Mean for Users?
For users looking to take advantage of fast charging technology, Quick Charging 4 offers a promising solution. By incorporating this technology into their devices, users can expect faster charging times and increased efficiency compared to previous versions of Quick Charging. However, it's essential to note that the availability of Quick Charging 4 will be limited to devices with the Snapdragon 835 chipset, which is set to launch in 2017.
In conclusion, Qualcomm Quick Charging 4 represents a significant advancement in fast charging technology, offering faster charging times and increased efficiency compared to its predecessor. While users who already own devices with Quick Charging 2 may not notice a substantial difference, those who upgrade to devices with Quick Charging 4 can expect a noticeable improvement in their charging experience. As the technology becomes more widespread and available on mid-range devices, users can look forward to even faster charging times and improved efficiency.
"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhi there this is Ranji than in this video I'm going to talk about Qualcomm quick charging 4 which was recently announced by Qualcomm when they announced the new Snapdragon 835 chipset and this Qualcomm quick charging the 4 supersedes the quad charging 3 which was announced in 2016 and this technology will be available in 2017 and according to Qualcomm this quick charging 4 brings about 20% faster charge and 30% it's more efficient compared to Qualcomm quick charging 3 and according to Qualcomm as you can get just about 5 yards of battery life with just 5 minutes of charging these are some of the marketing claims that Qualcomm is doing and another claim that they are doing is that with Qualcomm quick charging for you can get up to 50% of battery life with just 15 minutes of charge and again these are sort of simulated tests they said that they tested whether 2750 milliampere battery and they essentially do this due to improved dual charger plus plus technology which is the improvement over the existing one that was used in all come quick charging 3 and as you can see from this chart it is due to the superior dual charge parallel technology known as dual charge plus plus and also the improved new Qualcomm base power management ICS and the chips external support dual charge plus plus can take advantage of the same and Snapdragon 835 will be the first processor to take advantage of these technologies and thereby even though it's charging 20% faster its 30% more efficient and according to Qualcomm the device will be cooler by about 5 degrees centigrade so it will not heat as much as the Qualcomm quick charging 3 which is a good thing in my opinion and Qualcomm has also stated that they have added this new intelligent negotiation for optimum voltage for extra safety actually they have added a bunch of safety features with this Qualcomm quick charging for example the it has three layers of were charging protection and three layers of our current protection and up to four layers for monitoring the temperature it constantly monitors the temperature there by adjusting the voltage for optimum charge and again the good thing is that now this Qualcomm quick charge for is component with USB power delivery so it's a nice thing and now it's comparing with the standard so now it is other into the standards the earlier version of Qualcomm quick charge that's one two and three was sort of a little bit proprietary so this is a nice thing and again it also adds a bunch of battery saver stuff and it intelligently monitors the battery for getting better life so what do I feel about this Qualcomm quick charging for I feel it's a good improvement on paper Qualcomm says that you should get about 20% faster charging compared to Qualcomm quick charging three practically I have we have both the Qualcomm quick charge 2 and Qualcomm quick charge 3 charges and some devices I didn't see a huge bumper when I moved from Qualcomm quick charge to to Qualcomm quick charge 3 but now as qualcomm says that this is almost ready person more a 30% more efficient and 20% faster than qualcomm quick charging 3 so i would say if you already have a Qualcomm quick charge to don't upgrade to the Qualcomm quick charge 3 and just next year or fork with Qualcomm quick charging 4th if your devices support that for example because we know that Qualcomm quick charging 1 was not that fast but when Qualcomm quick charging two came it was a real good difference and you can easily say I notice the difference in day-to-day life but I didn't notice that much of a huge to French with Qualcomm quick charging 3 but I'm hoping the leap from Qualcomm quick charging 2 to Qualcomm quick charge 4 will be a significant difference the thing is that as of now Qualcomm has announced that only the Snapdragon 835 chipset that's going to come out in 2017 will support the Qualcomm quick charging for but I'm pretty sure later on as the Year moves ahead it will also come down to some of the mid-range chips like the 6x range so again guys set for now for this Qualcomm quick charging for and if you guys want to know more about quick charging and how it charges the device's faster by manipulating the current and the amperage again watch the other video that I've made a couple of months ago link for that video will be in the YouTube show notes so guys that's it for now for this video and if you're not subscribed to my YouTube channel hit that subscribe button thanks for watching this is Ranjit and I hope to see you in my
