The Dollar Tree Collection: A Review of Their Latest School Supplies

As I browsed through the aisles of my local dollar tree, I stumbled upon an exciting new collection of school supplies that caught my eye. first i just want to say that i am going bare face today i'm in some just like workout clothes because i'm doing just a nice deep clean in the house and so i just did not want to mess with makeup at all today but i also wanted to just get this video filmed and going because i'm trying to get ahead of the game before i jump into fall i know that's like way outside of what a lot of you guys are thinking about but managing my channel i do have to start thinking ahead it's what has caused in the past me to fail to provide certain videos that i've wanted to do like plaid week just ended up being a complete bust due to timing and just me trying to crank out so many videos between both of the channels that i run so i'm just trying to get ahead of the game start a new pre-film process so that i can dedicate more time into the requests that you guys give me so anyways that's a long intro but also not to jump ahead but today's items are for a little bit in the future they're actually the new 2021 uh school supplies release at dollar tree dollar tree also does things well in advance like one and sometimes two months out it's typically about a month out so it seems about right that in july they're going to start doing the school supplies but these items are so fantastic that you don't have to look at them necessarily from a school supply standpoint or if you're doing any homeschooling of any sort these are obviously going to be great for that too but they are fantastic they did not do these things in 2020 2020 so let me show you what i found now whenever i shop at dollar tree i like to pay attention to the color wheel color palettes that they do and from what i've seen and i think you'll clearly be able to see it in today's video that there is a color palette for the school supplies and those colors are blue orange pink and green so these are the colors that i have seen across so many different items but yeah these are index cards i love these i use these all the time for just like making my own you know notes and pulling the index cards out that's what i love about them too you can leave them in the actual spiral or you can tear them out and then you even have these little dividers that you can move around freely throughout your little notebook so these are great you guys already know but i'ma say it anyways because i do get a lot of new subscribers so for all of my subscribers that just watch all my videos i'm sorry that you have to hear me repeat myself so many times but these are going to be fantastic for a care package you know so we've got that now i made a bust because i could have sworn i grabbed the pink bucket but as i was checking out i didn't see the pink bucket so i'm really sorry but they do have the pink one so here is that color palette again but what is new about these is that these are like little desk caddies or storage containers is what they're calling them and they are very different from the ones they've done before because they are not as long in depth so they're just a little bit shorter which i think this is great because i do love to see a variety of sizes these could actually fit um depending on how deep a drawer is like maybe in your bathroom or something like that these could fit really well but here are those other colors they can get really stuck in there oh i'm so mad i didn't pick up the pink i think i was so busy like the suction was so strong that i just simply i think i put the pink to the side and then forgot to put it in the basket but this is completely brand new they have caddies but again they're a lot deeper so these are going to be great you know maybe in a locker situation um your desk organization all of those things and these colors are fantastic i love the colors then they did these which i recently where's the other one i recently showed you guys some but i think they were in a different size so these look like little pencil containers but they're also being labeled as storage containers and you can see that it has the teaching tree label which is really interesting because they're the same color palette as the school supplies but they're not in the same sections i don't i don't know they might be in your school supply section it just really kind of depends on how you know they organize and put things out but what i noticed was that the colors all match but you can clearly see that i'm missing the orange color so either they did not put out an orange color for this or i just they haven't put them on the shelves yet but i think these are fantastic i mean i would grab so many of these as a matter of fact i just wanted to get all the colors for you guys but i wanted to bring them home kind of sit on it and think which one do i want to get more quantity up for my craft room because i think these would be great to hold like loose you know cut stickers or little embellishments even like highlighters pens pencils this could just be a great organizer for a ton of things i love how thin they are too so they'll fit nicely into drawer spaces really wishing that i have the orange one though so very excited about these and also look at this bottom with this new collection they also put out the matching colors for the metal pencil holders so again those same colors this is absolutely fantastic i'm just i don't know why but i've always been a color coding per person like even in my early 20s when i got like my first desk job i was always obsessed with color coding like my files all of those things it's just always appealed to me i love being organized that way i also think there's something really efficient about color coding it's just it's like almost one step less for your mind to kind of think about if that makes sense so the fact that we are getting you know if orange is your thing or if blue is your thing if green is your thing like so many little items to choose from obviously if these colors aren't your thing at all you can just spray paint them and that'll be great but i'm definitely holding on to all of the orange goodies because that's going to be my next care package for my daughter so we've got those next up this gorgeous binder in this orange sherbet color i think i recently hauled a bunch of binders um i know my memory is just garbage but so many hauls and but i don't think i have this color and i just thought it was so pretty and i'm also gonna include it in the care package and then what i can do is i can just add you know um the clear sheets and little folders and things so that she can get organized she can either use it as like her daily planner or she can actually use it for a specific class or she could use it for like a routine you know she's going to get into a certain routine while she's in her apartment and things like that this could be like a routine binder so i know i keep picking all these things up but i just want you to see all of these colors together like how fantastic is this then we've got the pencil pouches this is an item that i've always liked in the past but recently i feel like i'm falling in love with them because i'm getting very excited to start crafting again getting my craft room made over and i just know how well i could or just the use basically that i can get out of these pencil pouches i can store all kinds of things and i love when they give us you know the ability to insert into a binder so here is this set with this beautiful iridescent brand new set of colors they did not do this last year and so we've got this like pinky iridescent and then this one is purple so pretty i love this one it's kind of like yellowy orange and then we've got a blue these were the only colors that i found i feel like this is it the collection so typically dollar tree does things in fours not all the time but the majority of the time especially when it comes to jot i feel like they're the most consistent when i say that things come in fours so like for example right so we've see we're seeing four colors four of these four of the caddies four of the notebooks um so there's that then i found these pencil pouches the pink and the black i'm sure there's got to be other colors to this but this was oh no what am i talking about there's like for some reason i thought they all look different and these two are the same but no okay so we've got one two three four five six in this collection and it's jot and that's the other one i feel like it's four or six so but most the time four so we've got pink and you can see here so once you take this little sheet out it's clear like this oh my gosh i think these are i think these are fabulous so if you've got yourself a little craft room you could use these you know maybe put some like strips of washi all kinds of things and then black so nice this one's interesting i don't think i've ever seen dollar tree do school supplies in this color like this gray color got gray we've got blue yellow and then orange so really interesting that we have this combo right here right which are the official colors but where's the green i don't know if i just missed the green or if they didn't intend to do that it looks like they did in my opinion but i don't know maybe this one is it what do you guys think it looks more yellow to me than green but maybe that's it actually so there we go so really awesome and then i found some cute ones that i just thought were so darling brand new 2021 i think what makes it unique is the little detail like flat charm on the zipper with the tail so i guess it's supposed to be like an alligator right honestly i can't tell if it is supposed to be an alligator i don't think alligator's tails look like that but somebody correct me if i'm wrong so then we have the whale and i feel like this one is right yeah they all have like the same fin at the bottom or on the zipper but he is super cute you guys super super cute there's no real lining on the inside which is fine you know it's a dollar and then here is this one looks like a little girl whale so cute love it absolutely love it so we've got those options and then the last things will blow your ever loving mind they're labeling these as a desk organizer interlock let me just show you so essentially what we have here are actually five pieces so you get the little organizer bins so the three equal sizes here and then one long rectangle there but then these pieces sit inside of this bigger container here and then it essentially like locks together and maybe that's why they're calling it an interlock and you can also you know if you buy all the colors you can change them out do something more colorful instead of you know a monochromatic thing but here are those colors again these are absolutely amazing um these are going to be great for organization if you have a junk drawer these could be great in there for that um you know i wish we could see these also like in a white and black option from an organizing standpoint that would just be absolutely epic and amazing but the colors are beautiful too but yeah desk organizers so for an office a craft room for the student all of those things these would be great for and i'm gonna be sending this in the care package too so all of the orange things that you see you'll be seeing that eventually honestly probably not until um late august september because she's home right now originally i was gonna do orange you glad school's over um because she was supposed to have stayed you know in school or stayed in her apartment but it just didn't end up working out that way so i'm just gonna wait to do the orange theme until in the fall so anyways these are brand new dollar tree did not do these in
